16 Parks near Ozark, Missouri
May 2013 - $20.00
We have stayed here a few times. There are no restrooms or laundry facilities. They now have cable TV and WI-FI. The sites are level. Only draw back is the road noise. We stayed 4 days this trip. - Boonejen
Aug 2011 - $30.00
This park is ok for overnight. The RV sites are at the back of the park in a large open area and close together with no shade. The restrooms needed some cleaning. This was the second park in Springfield we tried. - normdave
Oct 2016 - $30.00
This is a great place to stay if your interested in eating at Lamberts, about a 2 minute walk from the RV park to the front door. Park is level and all gravel, power was good, wifi worked great from our site. Water pressure was very good also. There are no rest rooms nor laundry, only a nice place to park. - weighit
Oct 2016 - $30.00
It is what it is. It is a gravel parking lot that has very very close sites that include full hookups. The utilities function good except Wi-Fi which is useless. Also, Stage Stop includes an overflowing dumpster, no restrooms or showers or security for a ridiculous high price of $30.00 per night. It is what it is, not much. - OldeJohn
Oct 2016 - $30.00
We stayed here primarily to go to Lambert's Café, the home of the throwed rolls. The restaurant is right next door to the RV park and it's a hoot. This park is really nothing to write home about, it's a parking lot with full-hookups, 50 amps on gravel. It's easy to get to and Willis is a character. We have stayed here before and would stay here again. - kathiecarlson
Oct 2014 - $9.00
Rate is PassPort America rate. Park is really rundown since last posted review. Some very old units in very poor shape used by long term residents. OK for a quick overnite, but wouldn't stay any longer, and locked all compartment doors. - Michelle & Ann
Aug 2012 - $8.00
Rate reflects Passport America. This no frills park is very convenient for visiting Branson, Ozark, and Springfield. There are several full-time residents. The park grounds are very well maintained. Dogs were seen off-leash on several occasions and not picked up after in some cases. Low water pressure. Our Verizon aircard worked very well when hooked to the amplifier and external antenna. Very friendly staff! We will stay here again. - StarlifterFE
Jun 2012 - $8.00
This is a no-frills park located behind an antique mall. There is no bathhouse, but the restroom inside the mall is available during business hours. Very pleasant owner-managers. This is an inexpensive bargain stop when visiting Branson, which is 15 miles away. We paid the Passport America rate. We'll gladly return when in the area again. - nasa42a
Oct 2013 - $20.00
We have stayed here twice simply because of the location which is in very close proximity to main highways. We will not return to this park again. On both stays (June & October) we were very disappointed. There are many permanent sites towards the back. The temporary sites towards front are pretty sad - lumpy, bumpy ground with weeds instead of grass & cracked cement patios. It is close to shopping. - KPsunshine
Aug 2013 - $60.00
This place was a dump! Lots of mobile homes. Permanent unsavory dwellers living in their trailers & mobile homes. The desk clerk double charged us & disappeared when we came back next morning for a refund. No bathrooms available, no showers. Couldn't wait to leave. - Sweet C
Oct 2012 - $40.00
Nice owner. Was very helpful to get us settled. Very good (free) Wi-Fi, but that is it. Next to the freeway with lots of noise. Everything is run down with bad internal roads and cracked pavement on the sites. We stayed here with PPA. We will not come back. - Traveller Excel
Jun 2016 - $38.00
Good overnight. Bathrooms are clean but no air conditioning, hot. Quiet enough. WalMart next door is convenient. The best choice for us in Springfield. - HarperDash
Jun 2016 - $31.00
As mentioned below, this is a very nice mobil home park, with large mature trees throughout. Most residents seem to be the older/retired group. We were assigned a nice pull through concrete paved site very near the office with 20/30 and 50 amp available. Water and sewer as well, no cable. Very easy in and out for large rigs from this site. Our site was about 100 ft. From a beautiful, heated pool that RV ers may use while there. Ask for site 502 or 503 to be close to the pool.
Best part of this place... It's quiet! No Interstate noise, no blaring train horns...just quiet, a refreshing change!
Overall, a great stopover location. - AlaskaJack
Apr 2016 - $40.00
This is a mature mobile home park and the RV spots are in the back as mentioned before . They are all gravel with no patio or picnic table, but fine for an overnight stop as we did. The driveways and spaces were adequate for our 43' bus, the utilities were good and the location is convenient to highway 65. The staff was very helpful in getting us a spot on a Sunday night after hours. - coloradoflyfisher
Nov 2016 - $38.00
Stayed here one night. Nice, friendly staff. Wi-Fi worked good for me. Level site. Pool was closed for the season. Store closes at 6:30 PM. Concrete pad with table at site. - ArmandV
Oct 2016 - $44.00
This whole place is buried in the trees. If you have any interest in using your satellite dish, go somewhere else. I requested a site that would be open to the sky. When checking in I was assured that site 22 would be open so I could get satellite connection. My dish (and entire coach) were completely covered in the trees. A coax cable for TV was laying across sites 21 and 22. They had cut the real cable and told us we would see that extra cable, but did not say how we would connect. I figured it out. These people don't know their own park and don't understand RVs. Utilities worked fine. Clearly, like many KOAs, this place is a grossly overpriced mediocre facility. - ramblin' vagabonds
Sep 2016 - $55.00
Love this park. it is always clean and pretty. The staff is great, the owners are fantastic and all are extremely helpful. all the sites are pull through, they have a ton of camping areas and some really cute cabins for rent. They have full laundry (4 washer, 3 large dryers), a small store, Hunt Pizza and tons of things for kids. Pool is open Memorial to Labor day. They do have free WIFI, however it rarely seems to work or is strong enough to use. - Okstatefanz
May 2013 - $20.00
Close to I44 and when we called it was a "park and drop your money in the box place" that worked well for us. It is an old park that has several monthly residents. They were in the back of the park and up front were about a dozen pull through sites. They are close, but we had no problem. I think if a neighbor wasn't in the center of their site it may be an issue. No amenities, but a park and sleep spot. It is far enough from I44 to have no road noise. A railroad is nearby (just like most main highways), but there must not be any crossings close, because we never heard a horn. We'll stay again. - Spending Their Inheritance
Jan 2013 - $25.00
Stayed here because Camping World finished repairs to our rig really late and the park has very easy access to I-44. Wide open gravel pad. TV, over the air, maybe 6 channels. Wi-Fi, but not very good even with us being in the second space from the office. The manager was a pleasant fellow but the cigarette smoke about did me in. Checkout time was "whenever you decide to leave", he said. We would stay here again. - We3Brvn
May 2012 - $20.00
Park is old and the pull through sites are very narrow. Our slides outs came right up to the electrical boxes on both sides of the site. Fortunately there was no one on either side of us otherwise we would have left. For $20 a night it is good as a one night stop over, but not for anything else. - mcharland
Oct 2016 - $27.00
Right on the freeway, lots of noise. Be careful on the frontage road in. No paved shoulders, drops off into grass. Barely wide enough for rigs to pass. Cramped, tiny entrance. Our 32' rig filled up the whole thing, blocked traffic. Nasty lady in the office used bait-and-switch on my wife. Forced us to park with our nose out in the aisle, very dangerous. Dangerous, not-to-code wiring on post to heat water taps. WiFi weak, took forever to connect. Our tiny picnic table was DIRECTLY over the neighbor's sewer connection. Tried to move it and the top came apart. Won't ever be here again, and it's not Paradise. - Dick Carlson
Aug 2016 - $30.00
On the good side, the staff was friendly, the pool looked clean and inviting (though I did not swim) and the laundry room had lots of equipment and looked clean. And it is more or less surrounded by 'the woods.'
On the other hand ... the look and feel of the place is hardly 'paradise,' but rather that of a small park that is maintained at barely acceptable levels. That laundry room, for example, had five 'air fresheners', the 'community room' behind it had three and furnishings looked like garage-sale items. The bathroom was clean, it seemed, but very old cinder-block construction, with mortar missing in many places leaving large gaps between the blocks. All in all, it seemed clean but far from inviting.
Many campsites had NO amenities such as picnic tables, fire rings, grills. I was there just sleeping over while passing through, so I did not miss the amenities, but I certainly would not consider a longer stay and would return only as a last resort. In school grades, I give Paradise in the Woods a C-, barely passing. - BobbyG2016
Sep 2015 - $30.00
Certainly not paradise! Just OK as an overnight stay, but overpriced for what it is. Many permanent residents, and the park is a bit run down. - Fwdaj
Nov 2016 - $18.00
Staff was helpful.
Nice office area and store.
Sites were not real level but typical for the Ozarks.
Park provided a turkey dinner with all the trimmings for all the guests that was real nice.
The only complaint we had was barking dogs next door in a trailer that the owner NEVER stayed there. We complained twice about it and the response we got was that they would move us to another spot if we wanted. We have been full-timing for 11-years and the normal response is for the park to make the dog owners quite their dogs.
The park rules states DO NOT LET YOUR PETS ANNOY OTHERS, nuff said. - dodgenoble2014
Nov 2016 - $29.00
I agree with the previous RVers. This campground is great with the exception of some sites not being level. It does seem that all the sites are pull-thru. Each site had a concrete pad with a table and grill. I attended a rally, and stayed during the week. All the staff were helpful and friendly.
We have stayed in other parks in the area, and really like this one. We will definitely stay again. - 1dinky
Oct 2016 - $29.00
Rate reflects rally rate. Large well-run park with friendly people. Most sites are close together and many are not level which is reason for rating. Facilities used were neat and operable. WiFi was not always usable. Cable TV worked well. The park is outside the busy Branson tourist area so very quiet at night, but still close enough for anyplace you want to go. 15 % discount if paying by check or cash. Other discounts available. Lots of amenities including large enclosed pavilion with full kitchennfor groups and a game room for smaller gatherings. Variety of cabins available. Discounted show tickets available at office. - smdrm

Jun 2016 - $50.00
We stayed for a week in a deluxe RV site. We have a 42 ft motorhome and a tow vehicle. Our site was great, with a wide hard-packed, very level gravel pad and lots of shade trees. We have four children, so we took advantage of every amenity that was offered. There was a great game room with a pool table and ping-pong tables. The swimming pool was very clean and the playground was very nice. We did not use the laundry but the showers and restrooms were very clean and in good working order. There are also lots of really nice hiking paths and they even provide you with walking sticks! You can check out movies or buy ice cream in the office. This is a very quiet peaceful campground. The sites are far enough apart to give lots of privacy and the trees add to the feeling of seclusion. Even with all the trees the sites were very easy to get into. This campground is located about five minutes from Silver Dollar City, and you can hear the train from the park blow its whistle in the distance. During our stay we drove around and looked at several other campgrounds in the area and this is definitely our favorite. We will stay here again the next time we are in the Branson area! - 6 Ole Miss Rebels
May 2016 - $39.00
We chose this campground because we didn't want to be down in all the "commotion" in Branson. Staff is very friendly & helpful. Lots of trees so we couldn't use our dish but they had cable with all the channels we watch, so that was good. We were in a pull through & had plenty of space between us & our neighbor. If you're coming from Branson, you have to take a left to get into campground & there is no way that you can see if there is any traffic coming toward you. Just hold your breath, pray & turn! We come to Branson quite a lot but this was our first time staying here. Will stay here again. - bgw5350
Jun 2015 - $35.00
This is a very nice clean, quiet RV park. We have been coming here for seven years. They need to cut down a few trees for satellite, although they have cable. Friendly staff. Close to Silver Dollar City. Contrary to other comments, there is more than ample room between trailers. - Whyork
