This has recently become a Jellystone park, and it is an excellent family destination. Our first site was in full sun after we had requested shade. The second site was so uneven that only a RV with jacks should be assigned, and the water had to be fixed before we could use it. Showers were clean and in general the amenities were more than adequate. We would stop overnight, but would try to get a better site. We camped at Perryville Jellystone Park (formerly Perryville Campground) in a Motorhome.

This campground looked very good online. It was totally different in person. Most sites if not all are uneven and almost impossible to level. To try to even my RV I bought leveling pads from the campgrounds office for an outrageous amount of money $50. They do nit work with heavy campers since there is no pavement they will be crushed into the ground. The unevenness was so bad it cracked 2 sides of my windshield. I called the campground before we arrived to check sites available. According to the person I spoke with on the phone it was going to be packed. When we arrived there was at the most 4 to 6 campers. There also is no cable and if you use antenna you might get 3 channels. The free WiFi us a scam and you can't even use it unless your in the office. To sum up what I am saying I recommended you to not stay here at all just drive a little farther and find somewhere else. We camped at Perryville Jellystone Park (formerly Perryville Campground) in a Motorhome.

Convenient, near I-29. Lots of trees that might block satellite TV reception. Easy to navigate roads. Some sites may be difficult to level on. Mostly pull-through sites. GPS is not accurate for locating this campground. Get directions and watch for on I-29 at Perryville. We camped at Perryville Jellystone Park (formerly Perryville Campground) in a Motorhome.

Campground is in a nice setting, trees, lake, and they are all decked out for Halloween. Laundry room was dirty and the campground needed some picking up. Wi-Fi didn't work great so we used our MiFi for Internet. Staff was just OK. Our site was somewhat level, gravel and a bit short for our 37' RV. They had larger sites, but we were put in a smaller one. We stayed one night. We camped at Perryville Jellystone Park (formerly Perryville Campground) in a Fifth Wheel.

We used to stay here every year for the past five years on our trips between the Midwest and the southern states. In calling for reservations today (3/18/2015), we were informed that they are now a "Jellystone" park, and their rates have doubled, to $60.14 per night for an RV site. (Their website still shows the previous prices of $35.99 per night for a 50 amp site). It was overpriced then - the only saving grace was the convenience of being located right off the highway. Gravel sites are very uneven, sewer lines are uphill, roads are narrow, office is often closed, and many permanent residents live there in rundown trailers. At the increased price, there is absolutely no reason to stay here. We camped at Perryville Jellystone Park (formerly Perryville Campground) in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

There is a decent Chinese buffet nearby, and Walmart and several gas stations are close.

This campground used to be a KOA. A bit run down but a decent campground. Many permanent residents live in the campground. Owners were not that friendly or welcoming. WiFi available for 8 hours daily. Sites are not very level. Store opens late and closes early. Right on I55, so there is a lot of highway buzz. Good only if you are passing through for a night. We camped at Perryville Jellystone Park (formerly Perryville Campground) in a Travel Trailer.

This is a hard park to rate. We made reservations and they checked us in quickly. We got a site in among tall trees so it was nice and shady, but our satellite TV did not work. Adding cable TV would be a huge plus. The electric, water, and sewer hookups all worked as they should. Our site was level and there is a concrete pad and picnic table to use. We were here mid week so it wasn't at all crowded. However, if the park was full we would have hated it as the sites are very close together. The layout of some sites has you back to back or front to front with your neighbor (probably so they only had to bring one line of utilities in for each pair of sites) so there would be no privacy. If you are a family with kids, they have a pool and at least five bounce house/playground/water slide type entertainments. We did go on the 4.4 mile hike around the lake, and it was very nice. You can hear the road noise constantly, but it wasn't so loud that it kept us awake at night. The WiFi worked, but it was very slow. The price is very reasonable though. For us, we would only use it as an overnight stop, not a destination. We camped at Perryville Jellystone Park (formerly Perryville Campground) in a Motorhome.

I want to preface this with the fact that my wife and I have stayed here before and really liked it. That is why we wanted to go back. Be forwarned. I called to make a reservation in Jan. and got a phone message that stated that no reservations were necessary just come in. I checked again in March and got the same phone message as did my friend who was travelling with us. While on our trip my wife called again the day before we were to arrive and she got the same message. As we were pulling into the park we saw a young woman leave the office. There was an open sign on the door but, the door was locked. A salesman from their RV lot came over and opened the door for us. He then tried to locate someone to help us. Another young lady showed up and told us that there was only one 50 amp site available. There were two of us and we both needed 50 amp. The salesman again tried to help us by getting someone else. There was no doubt that this person was not happy to be helping us. And then to add insult to injury we saw her working off a reservation list. When asked about this she did not respond. I suggested that maybe they should have a real person answer their phone. We will not try to stay here again. Nothing like the last time we stayed. We camped at Perryville Jellystone Park (formerly Perryville Campground) in a Fifth Wheel.

The was a fantastic campground, very clean, very friendly. We stayed in a primitive cabin (they have other deluxe cabins available), it was right on a pond with great fishing. Stayed 5 days/4 nights. Cabin was very clean and had air/heat with comfortable beds. We will definitely be making a trip back to stay here. We camped at Perryville Jellystone Park (formerly Perryville Campground) in a Campground Cabin.

Called ahead for reservation and given instruction to contact person on arrival. Also posted on door to office. Quick response. Site was predesignated for us. Individual took us to site and as there was snow/ice on the ground was given okay to pull out anyway I felt was best for our RV. I was also informed if we had trouble when puling out that the campground would assist us. As temperatures dropped during the night, roads were more icy when we went to leave. Observed a Fith wheel (2WD) have to retreat from one access point so went on road where more long term folks were staying. Nice place and looks like a good place for a summer stay. I'm sure winter causes problems for the campgrounds however I felt if we needed help we would have gotten it. Park rate was for Good Sam. Nice campground albeit could use some maintenance regarding the sites. Most need a bit of leveling and all I saw needed gravel. Otherwise quite pleasant with clean restrooms, friendly staff. We stopped here after traveling in heavy rain coming from St Louis area and had no problem reaching someone who told us to do self checkin. Cabins looked nice, large grassy playare for kids, pavillion for parties, could be a weekend destination. Decent air tv reception and great wireless. We would stay here again if in the area. After fighting the traffic going through St. Louis on our way South, we were ready for a stop. Next time, we'll head further West and avoid the metropolitan area. A sign on the highway alerted us to this camp, my GPS AAA directory provided a phone number, and the man answering was very helpful. There were a number of 5th wheelers and travel trailers on the site, possibly permanent, but the wooded camp looked neat and clean. No cable television, but we did pickup 3 networks using the antenna. The Wi-Fi signal at our location in the middle of the park was strong. A good overnight stop on the way to an RV park with more amenities, we'd recommend it. We camped at Perryville Jellystone Park (formerly Perryville Campground) in a Motorhome.
