A very nice and very quiet park that's managed by the nicest couple. My propane crossover was malfunctioning and used off of both tanks at the same time so while I thought I still had a second tank of propane on a Sun. I learned that I was out. The park managers tried to call the local propane supply unsuccessfully and made several other attempts to help me find propane on a Sun. Went above and beyond. Finally drove in to St. Joseph to Tractor Supply to get it. This place is very quiet, only a few people here, it's 22F and it snowed. The sites are easy in and out for our 42' 5th wheel with five slide outs. They have forms set around the pool and supposed to pour concrete for the new pool deck this week. We would stay here again. We camped at Rock Port / RiversEdge Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

The park was still recovering from flooding that covered the park in 8' of water form the Missouri River. They have been working hard and have the pool functional but still has some improvements on the schedule. The park was clean, the owners very friendly and helpful. The store is open and is a work in progress. The sites were level and plenty of room to put out our slides. I would recommend this park and would definitely stay here again. We camped at Rock Port / RiversEdge Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

We decided to stay here on our way to Homestead Natl Monument based on the fact they were the only park with a pool and good reviews. When I made the reservation, I was told the owners would be gone but they hoped to have someone here running the store and park. I emailed back to ask if the pool would still be open, but never recieved a reply. We arrived around 5 pm to find no staff, the office locked but our site information in a box. We also discovered the pool was drained and the area around it dug up, apparently to replace the drain and pump piping. The kids were disappointed and it would have been nice to have been told about the pool when I inquired. The sites are gravel, level and very close together. There was not enough room to sit at the picnic table and not be next to the neighbors sewer unless you moved in front or behind the RV. The fire ring was full of cigarette butts and cigar stubs, so we elected not to use it. Firewood was available fo 50 cents a stick. The majority of the sites were taken by long term campers, some with freezers, wood pallets and other things outside the doors. We felt like we were in a low rent trailer park and would have left if there had been other parks nearby. There are 2 gas stations nearby with good RV access, a McDonalds and a Godfathers pizza express. It is very convenient to the highway but still very quiet. They have a small playground with an old swingset, seesaw and carousel. I am sure the owners are very nice but I don't think we would stay here again. We camped at Rock Port / RiversEdge Campground in a Motorhome.

Small family run park, the owners are very friendly and helpful. Their WIFI was some of the best we have ever used! The CG is small but easily handled our 45 foot with tow Big Rig! The site facilities are new and worked well. The CG is very convenient to I-29. We camped at Rock Port / RiversEdge Campground in a Motorhome.

Small but nice place. Sites are extremely spacious, owners are very friendly, grounds are well kept. They have a pool, playground, dog walk so it's probably a really nice place during the summer. We're here while it's getting cold and only overnight, but I would definitely come back. We camped at Rock Port / RiversEdge Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Nicest owners you'll ever meet. Lovely little campground with everything beautifully kept. They've had tons of work to clean up after the awful floods in 2011 and they've done an amazing job. The front sites are pull-thrus which are easy to enter and exit. They're a bit too close together (thus the 9 instead of 10) but it's fine for a few nights. Back-ins in the back section have a lot more room around them and all look easy to get into. We will choose the back section next time. Over-air TV is good as is the park wifi. Verizon hotspot worked well. We will definitely stay again. We camped at Rock Port / RiversEdge Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a lovely little park with great hosts. The lots are level and the owners are in the process of putting down new surfaces in some due to the recent rain. The bath house is a family style facility at the present due to the flood of 2011. Full hookups with 50 amp, water and sewer. No cable but over the air reception is good. It is convenient to I-29 with fuel at the exit. There is some shade in the park but they lost 250 trees in the Missouri River flood of 2011. We camped at Rock Port / RiversEdge Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Rock Port itself is a small town but we drove about 25 miles to Nebraska City which is a nice town with the Arbor Mansion that is worth a tour and the Lewis and Clark center that was very interesting.

Like the prior review, we spent one night. Adequate parking space for MH and toad. Hosts are gracious. work was being done on the grounds to remove dead tree stumps. Noticed some small children on a nice swing set. All major OTA networks from Omaha, Verizon hotspot signal was OK, but not full strength. We did not use any of the facilities save electric hookup. Spaces are snug, but the park was quiet. Convenient to the Interstate. We would not hesitate to stay again when passing through. We camped at Rock Port / RiversEdge Campground in a Motorhome.

The owners were helpful from the minute we drove in. Lead us to our sites, showed the hookups and brought rubber door mats for us to use. All utilities were good, no TV but good cell service. This owner is working on the campground to make improvements and is doing a nice job. A big storm, that brought standing water in the sites and they brought enough of the door mats to lead all the way to our truck. I have a bum knee and they saw me limping. Thought that was extremely thoughtful. We enjoyed our stay even though it was just an overnight stop. We camped at Rock Port / RiversEdge Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

We were totally satisfied with our stay at the campground. All the hook-ups worked perfectly and were easy to access. Our pull-through site was level and long enough for our 53' total length combination with room to spare. No cable TV, but we received strong on air signals for all networks, and were able to use our DirecTV dish. We had 5 bars of signal from Verizon Extended Network. The attitude of the owners is the true strength of this park. They appreciate their patrons and do everything they can to make your stay pleasant. We will definitely stay here again. This park provides good utilities, including wi-fi. Interior roads are gravel, pull-through sites are level gravel and of adequate length for big rigs. There are some trees in the pull-through section; the long-term section of the park appears to be more shaded. AT&T phone and data reception is strong in the area. The park is easy to access from the highway. The friendly owners live on-site. We camped at Rock Port / RiversEdge Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

We spent one night here on our way south. Our site was long and level with plenty of room for our 42 ft rig and truck without unhooking. The owners were super friendly and guided us into our spot when we arrived late and after dark. They also helped us with hooking up. It was raining heavily and there was quite a bit of mud, which was the only negative we encountered. The next morning I opened the door and found the owners had placed a large rubber mat under our steps so we could exit without stepping down into the mud. We would stay here again. We camped here in a fifth wheel. We camped at Rock Port / RiversEdge Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

This campground is making a remarkable recovery from the 2011 flood. Office is open and owners are extremely friendly and knowledgeable. We felt like family right from the start! The individual sites have been redone and leveled. In fact this is the first site we haven't had to do any leveling on our own! We only stayed one night as we were just passing through but if we are ever this way again we will definitely stay here!
