Easy to get to pull thru. A bit confusing where to park to register so we stayed on main entrance road and that was perfect because we were in the first row & in a perfect orientation to pull right down the row. Friendly staff. Quick 1-night stop on our way West so didn't explore at all. Power was consistent, especially since it was almost 100F and we ended up running all 3 roof units after driving all day in the heat! We camped at Sundermeier RV Park in a Motorhome.

Great park right off Missouri 370. Unusual entrance as Transit Street is a residential street with the campground at the end of the street. Good electric, sewer but water pressure is 100lbs, so you must use a reducer. They do warn you at check in. Park had paved roads and easy to maneuver. We had a back in space wide enough to park truck next to coach, but sites are close together. Right in flight path of Lambert Field, so some interference with OTA TV, but no issue with satellite TV. Had wifi, but we found it to be slow. We would stay here again. We camped at Sundermeier RV Park in a Motorhome.

Stayed here for a couple days to tour the area. Sites are close together, but level with concrete pads. We experienced electrical problems with our pedestal. Asked the office to have someone troubleshoot the pedestal. They called someone and he was there within the hour. Park is very close to the back of a neighborhood, so you can see their backyards. It is also in the direct path of the airport, so there are planes every minute. Close to the Katy Trail which is a plus. We camped at Sundermeier RV Park in a Motorhome.

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $53.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed 4 nights in June 2018. We had a pull-through site which was $59/night minus 10% Good Sam discount. Reservation process was done via online request from through the website and worked well. We had to make several changes to our initial reservation due to issues with our coach. Staff was very kind and understanding and never once gave us any inkling of attitude nor never did they say something snarky like "we can't promise you a site". They could not have been nicer which we really appreciated (because having troubles with your rig is stressful enough). Approaching the CG from Once off the 370 freeway, you'll make a left turn into a pretty small residential-looking street. There are signs but go slow so you don't miss it. It may seem a little hairy at first but it is do-able. Upon arrival, check in was fast, super friendly and efficient. As other reviewers have said, the park is immaculately clean. Interior roads are paved. The level cement pads have a small strip of grass in between but no shade. Hookups are well-placed and worked perfectly. Verizon cell and mifi worked fine. Clear sky for DirecTV signal. Park wifi was also excellent. They told us at check-in we could use their wifi to stream. When have you ever had an RV park tell you that??!! We actually didn't use it for streaming but were happy with general internet usage. Given that the freeway and a train track are quite close to the park (maybe .250 mile), it was remarkably quiet. Sometimes we'd hear the train rumble but it never sounded a whistle. If you are in sites 1 - 40, I imagine you'll probably hear more noise. If in the area, we would absolutely stay here again! We camped at Sundermeier RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Driving to St. Louis takes 20-30 minutes. St. Charles is charming. Hendricks BBQ in St. Charles is GREAT. They have a nice outdoor deck overlooking the Katy Trail and river area. There is a Frank Lloyd Wright house "Ebsworth Park" available for tours in StL. Book ahead. Old school St. Louis must include an epic enormous BLT at Crown Candy and frozen custard at Ted Drewes. Of course there's the obvious must-do's - Gateway Arch, Cardinals baseball game and Anheuser Busch brewery.

Nice campground with concrete pads. Very easy access. Only downside was the water pressure was extremely high(need a pressure reducer). Even though the price was high the environment was worth it. We camped at Sundermeier RV Park in a Motorhome.

Nice, large, level concrete pads are big enough for our motorhome plus one car and the picnic table on the patio area. Sites are very close together but very clean and well cared for. Although there is a fence around most of the park, there is open access from the city street. For bikers and walkers, it is located on the Katy Trail, which is a well maintained trail that stretches along the Missouri River across the State of Missouri. The campground is within walking distance to the center of Saint Charles, a lovely tourist town just outside of St Louis that has lots of shops and restaurants. There is no pool, but the restrooms are very clean and well maintained. There is no cable TV but the local channel selection is excellent. Wi-Fi is good overall. We stayed here four nights and will stay here again on our next trip to this area. We camped at Sundermeier RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Visit Saint Charles and stroll the brick streets and sidewalks to shop the many gift and antique shops. There are two excellent shops that make and sell fudge and ice cream (excellent). Grandma's Cookies is worth a visit, as well as the Bike Stop Cafe for breakfast or lunch. Stop at the visitor center and be sure to take the free trolley ride around town where you will learn the local history and see the interesting architecture of the many old buildings. Parking is free downtown - a plus.

Stayed here for 2 weeks in June of 2018. Nice park, all concrete with long pull throughs and many big, expensive rigs here. At first I was put off by all the rules on the website for this campground but after being here a few days realized that those rules keep out the riff-raff. Nice park. No amenities really but they do the basics very very well. Hook ups were close and water PSI is 100, so use a regulator. Also, put the regulator on at the bib because the pressure here actually blows some water hoses. there is no pool or playground here for the little ones, but then I didn't see many kids here during my stay. This is very close to the Katy trail and all St. Louis attractions. Park is well-maintained and clean. I will stay here again when in the area. We camped at Sundermeier RV Park in a Motorhome.

Like the grass with all concrete pads & no gravel/dirt. Nice for dog & exercise walking. Also walked in the nearby neighborhood. No trees or landscaping besides grass/weeds, which could be better maintained. Size of our pull through campsite was better than average. Wifi worked well. Laundry was clean with enough machines. Outside the back gate is Katy Trail, a nature trail, a playground with toilet facilities, a dog park is within walking range or you can drive. Loved close proximity of St. Charles Main St. for dining and shopping, though drove there. Very true about plane and train noise, but nights were quiet. At registration, Clerk gave me a flyer, as I inquired about a dog sitter, Justine Hemmer, who was excellent; used her for 1/2 hour visit on 3 nights. She texted reports and left a written review each time! This is our second visit and we would come again! We camped at Sundermeier RV Park in a Motorhome.

Very clean campground. Full cement pads large enough for rv and truck and sitting outside. No trees to speak of for shade. Planes and trains all day but you get use to them. FHU sites all worked well. The campground is right next to a housing area and the Katy trail. Only a mile to downtown St Charles. For what you get at the campground it is kind of pricy but still a nice park. We would stay again. We camped at Sundermeier RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

We went to St Louis for the day and made the mistake of parking on a street close to the Old Courthouse that was less traveled. Someone broke our back window and stole an empty backback and our National Park Passport folio. Neither worth any value to them. Park in a well traveled area, even if it is expensive.

We have stayed here for 2 and 1/2 weeks with our 33 ft 5th wheel while we visited family. The manager was wonderful and very helpful. The laundry room was very clean with lots of machines. The bathrooms were immaculate. Wide streets and large concrete pads. Excellent for big rigs! Lots of great places to eat. Yes, there were trains but we were not bothered by them (they didn't blow their horns so all was well). VERY nice place to stay for awhile. We will definitely stay here next year when we come visit St Louis area again. We camped at Sundermeier RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We've been coming here for 14 years. The park has large cement pads with wide paved streets; no gravel, dirt or mud! The owner keeps the park nicely landscaped and very clean. The WiFi is outstanding and the Katy Trail is right out the back gate of the park. All park resources worked well. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. We will return! Selected this park based on it having slightly better reviews than other St Louis parks, and its location in St Charles instead of near downtown St Louis. Sites has FHU, no cable, 2 sewer ports per site (middle and rear). Check-in was a little grumpy but OK. Never saw any management after that, over 3 days. Site and park are well-kept. Sites are a little close but we've seen worse. This park is directly beneath the final approach flight path for St Louis airport and loud passenger jets fly over every 2-3 minutes from about 7am to 11pm. And there is a trail trestle adjacent to the park with hourly trains (but no whistles). Plan on keeping your RV closed with the A/C on, to hold down noise. Out the rear of the park, is Katy trail, a nice walk or bike ride to Oldtown St Charles with shopping and dining options. We camped at Sundermeier RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

The Gateway Arch in St Louis has construction underway with the visitor's center closed. Tickets to ride the 60's-era tram to the top are described on their website as for-sale only in the "Old Courthouse" a couple of blocks west of the Arch but we also found ticket kiosks open under the arch. Crowded on a Saturday and an underwhelming experience for me, personally. For BBQ, SugarFire in St Charles is *excellent*!

This is an excellent RV park for visiting the St. Louis area, which has plenty to see. It was very hot during the 3 days we were here so we didn't get out to do as much as we would have liked to do. St. Charles is an adorable town with lots of nice-looking restaurants and shops. The park is very all-concrete but right through the gate is a huge city park with bike trails and a dog park and plenty of green. It stretches to the river and I would have loved to do some walking if it had been cooler. Wi-Fi was excellent and they even tell you it's for streaming. Most parks only want you to check emails and even then, sometimes the Wi-Fi won't connect at all. No problem here. All the utilities worked well. Convenient to the highway; very easy to drive in and out of your site. We camped at Sundermeier RV Park in a Motorhome.

I know I only gave it an 8, but I am very picky. Very nice, clean parking spots, lots of room on the roads in and concert sites. Easy hookups, nice picnic tables, friendly check-in people even though it was a Sunday. No cable, but not needed with over 17+ air channels. Could use a pool and some shade, but not complaining. Like most RV Camping places, way over priced. We camped at Sundermeier RV Park in a Motorhome.
