5 Parks near Sedalia, Missouri
Aug 2016 - $25.00
We camped here for 2 nights while visiting the Missouri State Fair. Campground is basically a huge field with first come, first served basis and it was packed! There are full hookups but they are hard to find & hard to get. That said, it was a good place to camp & enjoy the Fair. There was a tram that would make it's rounds through the campground & take you into the Fair. It was a little noisy at night but everyone around us were friendly and nice. We enjoyed it and will be back next year. - bgw5350
Aug 2015 - $30.00
Stayed there during this year's State Fair, so the campground was busy and crowded. We camped in the exhibitor's area, which is adjacent to the livestock barns, so had new neighbors coming in every 3 or 4 days. Couldn't ask for more friendly campers who were there showing their animals, whether pigs, horses or rabbits. Noisy from the midway, but wasn't a big problem. Streets are gravel, so can be dusty with the traffic. - gfarmcafe
Jul 2015 - $56.00
Stayed there for a Passport America Rally. It is a fairground campground, but not the nightly camping area which is at the front of the fairgrounds. We were parked in the big "rally area" with full hook ups. Have stayed there twice (both for large rallies) and both times we were parked in same area with broken electrical. Sites are grass and when it rained, several people were stuck and had to be pulled out. Were there over Jul 4 so had good view of the city fireworks. - bob and phyl
Jun 2016 - $25.00
This campground is a 55+ park and you should call to reserve a site. The owners are semi-retired and may not be at the campground. The correct phone number is 660-596-1174.
The campground has about 28 sites, most sites have 30 amps, and the rest have 50 amp electrical services. The voltage was good - hovering around 120 volts. That might change if the park was filled. Picnic tables are available.
The electrical box, water and sewer are all located in the middle of the site. The sewer was in between the electrical box and water spigot. There is a bathroom with 3 showers per gender. There is also a laundry room, but it was not open during our stay.
The campground was basically an open area with a few trees on crushed stones. The sites were very level. Most of the sites are back-ins but there are a few pull-thru's. All of the sites can accommodate a large rig.
The entry way to the park is very narrow; you will need to swing wide in order to clear the curbs.
WiFi was available and the reception was good. Verizon air card and cell phone reception was also good. Cable TV was not available
The campground is very quiet at night. We would definitely come back if we were in the area. We have a 32 foot 5th wheel. - adsaxs
Jun 2014 - $33.00
Nice setting, quiet, clean. Not much shade. - Marilynintexas
Aug 2013 - $25.00
No extra amenities at this park but it is quiet and clean. The owners are very nice. The spots were close together, but we could easily back in our 50 foot RV because the road was wide & there was room for our tow. We were here for the Missouri State Fair and the park was pretty full. Be sure to have a reservation as they don't take people without one. It's on the southern side of Sedalia so you do have to drive through town from the Interstate but the road is decent. Sites were level & gravel. Satellite was good, as well as Verizon cell & air card. Plenty of room to walk the dog. We would definitely stay here again. - Danni
Sep 2015 - $18.00
Stayed here for 3 days to visit family. Very tight spaces, could not put awning out as it would have been over the road. A few junky permanent RVs, one whose awning was over the road a little so I will have to back out of my pull through when I leave. Stayed here one night 11 years ago, looks the same now as it did then. - Jweb98
Apr 2015 - $18.00
Older park in a industrial section of town. Many rigs look like they have been here a while. Automobile wheel manufacturer close by so noisy 24 hours a day. We used earplugs. The owners are friendly. All pull thru sites. Easy access to Walmart and State Fair. Dead end road so no through traffic. Passport American rate is $18 which to me seems rather high for this campground. - fander
Jun 2014 - $21.00
Small park in town. Looks like lots of homesteaders. No bathrooms or showers but there is a laundry. Wifi was great but Tv with antenna and booster was iffy. Good place for passing Through to 65. We stayed one night on our way to Branson. Price reflects passport America. - Nancy1070
Oct 2015 - $19.00
This is a park nestled in the trees with two lakes within the boundaries. The sites are close to primitive in design with electrical only. You will not get satellite service due to the tree coverage. This is a good park especially for rv's under 40' in length. Watch the tree branches driving in as they do not trim them on a regular basis. Most of the folks that use this park are campers and build a fire everyday. Be prepared for smoke throughout the day and night. - ranchoddellago
Aug 2015 - $13.00
I stayed one night camping in a tent. My biggest complaint was the noise from the highway and the train line. If you camp with a trailer or RV you probably won't hear the noise as much as camping in a tent. The park ranger was very friendly and helpful.
Lots of green, lush Oak and Elm trees lined the meandering paths and roads. The small cottages were quaint and inviting.
The road was very easy to navigate since it was just a simple loop through the campground. The sites looked like grass, a small gravel pad surrounded by trees. - Tcaphou
Jul 2013 - $14.00
We enjoyed our stay here and really have no complaints. They only have electrical hookups, but there is a dump station on your way out and water faucets located here and there throughout the park to fill your tanks. Each site has a picnic table, a post to hang a lantern, and a fire pit. Restroom and shower areas were well maintained and park itself was kept up. There are 5 or 6 designated "family campsites" if you need more space. A lot of lake access within the park for fishing and walking trails. Nice quiet park. We would definitely camp there again. - Dena2013
Jun 2016 - $40.00
This place is a hidden gem, you wont go wrong on this one. Pool nice and warm, sites large enough of big rigs. Very very clean. Anyone mark this lower then a Excellent are people that can not be pleased. - Fireplug45
Jul 2015 - $34.00
Checked Friday, paid for both nights upfront. The owner complained that he could not read my signature on his ipad(uses card swipe). Ended up being charge twice because he ran it twice. He did return my call this morning and trying to rectify it. The restrooms/showers were locked and you had to have them unlocked by him, although once in the showers they were pretty clean. He claimed to have wifi, but did not. The high pressure sodium flood light lighting the campground was so bright one needed sunglasses at night. The pool had water in it, but not in use. The owner is a nice man, but all in all, would not stay there again.... - Randall Gibbs
Jun 2015 - $32.00
This could be a wonderful campground. The owner of five years is selling after making some extensive improvements. However, more are needed. The roads are hard packed, but narrow and weedy. Same with the lots. Acres of rolling meadows and extensive playground equipment. However, there is no WiFi or cable and the pool is a disgusting mess. There are 6 or 8 permanent residents and few transients. The electric and water were good. If the new owner continues what the current owner started, this could be a real find. Until then, it is a pretty expensive stop considering what is there and closeby (nothing). - TBBGII
