It had rained in the days before arrival, so the parking was sketchy. Good full hookup service. We camped at Missouri State Fair Campground in a Travel Trailer.

We were here for a rally which included cost of sites so do not know the rates. Sites are on grass with gravel roads. Roads are fairly narrow. Our site had full hookups and 50 amp service. Four sites hooked up to a central water, electric, and sewer service, so you will need a long sewer hose. Site was level but would be muddy with significant rain. We had a short shower and sites and roads were fine. If in Sedalia on our own, we would probably seek other places to stay. We camped at Missouri State Fair Campground in a Motorhome.

This fairgrounds public campground is open year round 24 hrs on a first come basis. Make sure you check the calendar for any RV rallies or the state fair. Security comes by to collect your payment or pay at the business office during the week. Sites are FHU or you can rent camp or boondocks for $12/night. Sites are grass and can get muddy if it rains causing your RV to get stuck. Roads are gravel. Dump station, restrooms with showers are available. No WiFi or laundry. We were here for a rally otherwise there is not much to do. We camped at Missouri State Fair Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

We camped here for 2 nights while visiting the Missouri State Fair. Campground is basically a huge field with first come, first served basis and it was packed! There are full hookups but they are hard to find & hard to get. That said, it was a good place to camp & enjoy the Fair. There was a tram that would make it's rounds through the campground & take you into the Fair. It was a little noisy at night but everyone around us were friendly and nice. We enjoyed it and will be back next year. We camped at Missouri State Fair Campground in a Motorhome.

Stayed there during this year's State Fair, so the campground was busy and crowded. We camped in the exhibitor's area, which is adjacent to the livestock barns, so had new neighbors coming in every 3 or 4 days. Couldn't ask for more friendly campers who were there showing their animals, whether pigs, horses or rabbits. Noisy from the midway, but wasn't a big problem. Streets are gravel, so can be dusty with the traffic. We camped at Missouri State Fair Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Didn't stay in the public use campground at the state fair, so don't know a lot of details, nor comment about that larger area. We will go back again to enjoy this great fair!

Overall Rating:

Stayed there for a Passport America Rally. It is a fairground campground, but not the nightly camping area which is at the front of the fairgrounds. We were parked in the big "rally area" with full hook ups. Have stayed there twice (both for large rallies) and both times we were parked in same area with broken electrical. Sites are grass and when it rained, several people were stuck and had to be pulled out. Were there over Jul 4 so had good view of the city fireworks. We camped at Missouri State Fair Campground in a Motorhome.

Small Amish community in Versailles, MO about 40 miles from Sedalia. Lehman's Family Restaurant has a fantastic buffet of homemade dishes and bread. A must visit for a great meal.

We stayed here in a 38' motorhome with a towed.

Elec power was 50 amps and maintained 120 volts constant.

Water pressure was 45#.

Easy sewer hose hook up.

No Wi-Fi.

The sites are are large and grass, which is good unless you get a 3" rain in one night! Then it is $200.00 for Don's wrecker to pull you out! We camped at Missouri State Fair Campground in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

We were here with a rally, first in the "overnight" 30amp area and then on the main grounds. Many sites in the overnight area are quite unlevel. WI-FI worked well there. Sites on the main rally grounds are more likely to be near level. The WI-FI here would connect but NEVER had internet connectivity where we were in the back area. Many of the sewer connections are 6+ inches above the ground and almost unusable for most motorhomes ...creativity is required!! Electric and water were good, and Verizon cell hot spot worked very well. We camped at Missouri State Fair Campground in a Motorhome.

Stayed here for a rally. Sites not particularly level (our front wheels were off the ground, neighbor had to use blocks under rear wheels). Wi-Fi worked fairly well most of the time though we were on the extreme edge of the facility. Utilities were great except that sewer connections were ridicuously high off the ground. We stayed here for an RV Rally function. Electric hookup was fine; only 30A available, but it worked without issue, water pressure is good. Hookups are such that it is "close quarter" parking, but no issue for slides or even having a rug and a few chairs out. Fairground staff did a good job at keeping trash picked up and cans emptied. There is a couple of bathhouses on the camping area, but we didn’t use them. It is grass parking, fairly level with a little effort. It’s not a campground or resort; it’s a place to park while attending events at the fairgrounds or in nearby Sedalia. Facilities at the fairground were clean. We camped at Missouri State Fair Campground in a Motorhome.

We stayed at this park because of an event at the State Fairgrounds that lasted for a few days. For this purpose, the RV park was ok. This is basiclly a field with RV hook ups which is ok for what we needed. Hook ups were a little difficult to reach. Our sewer pipe was under the RV by the steps. A light pole was in the way of proper parking. We had to cross a shallow ditch to get to our site. We really had to take up 2 sites but no-one seemed to care. Not recommended unless you are attending an event at the fairgrounds. We camped in a motorhome towing a 12' trailer. We camped at Missouri State Fair Campground in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Way over priced. $19 for only electric? We only stayed for one night. I questioned the attendant on price since everything was shut off but to no avail. Too late to go on. No place even to fill water tank. The campground is connected to the state fairgrounds, was lit up like daytime and the factory across the street vibrated our camper all night. Will NOT stay here again. We camped at Missouri State Fair Campground in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

This is a large open field with campers crammed at every angle with barely enough room for slide-outs in between. No security: people with golf carts/ATV's buzzing around hollering well past midnight. You could not get out your door to walk the dog or go to the showerhouse for fear of being run down; people throwing beer bottles into trash cans as they rode past. Took us 1 and a half hours to check in, staff very disorganized. They advertise over 1000 sites but there are only about 300 numbered sites; the rest are "dry" camping in a field or crammed up against another numbered site. The electricity went out about midnight and was not restored before we left the next day (no reason for this). Only 1 of the 3 dump stations were operational. We stayed here during the fair. I recommend staying somewhere else and driving in. The only reason I gave it 2 stars is the proximity to the fairgrounds. No way would we stay here again. We camped at Missouri State Fair Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

Nice enough campground, basically a big field with side-by-side hookups. Water was every-other, so one person had to have a long hose. Not much shade, an RV convention had the shadier areas so we were in the sun in public camping. Nice security team, well maintained area. Lots of flies, glad for the breeze. Campgrounds were busy but not overcrowded, even on a holiday weekend. Great spot for watching fireworks. Very pet friendly. I will stay here again. We camped at Missouri State Fair Campground in a Travel Trailer.
