We only did a one night stop at this campground, but we could easily spend more time there. The campground is on Smithville Lake, just north of Kansas City. Its a big county run campground with over 400 campsites. Around half of the sites have 30 or 50 amp electric and a good number of the 30 amp sites have water hookups too. I think all but a couple of sites are back-in. There are no sites with sewer connections, but there is a large dump station near the entrance to the campground. We saw a nice playground and the grass was freshly mowed. The restrooms were clean. Many of the campsites are near the lake, although I think all the lakefront sites are electric only (no water hookups). The campground is less than 10 miles west of I-35, but County Road E, which you travel the last 3 or 4 miles is rather narrow and a bit rough in spots. Our Verizon signal was a good 4G and it should be pretty easy to get a satellite signal there. We camped at Crow's Creek Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Absolutely love Smithville Lake and Crows Creek. Bathrooms are clean. Sites are pretty much all on the water with a great view. Sandy beaches through out. The only downfall is it is first come first serve. For Labor Day we had to go up there (we live an hour + away) and pay from the moment on. We ended up paying for 5 days and only staying 3 days. They do not do online reservations. Owners are friendly. Kid friendly. It is one of our favorites. We camped at Crow's Creek Campground in a Travel Trailer.

A very pleasant park with a lot of open spaces. Grounds are well kept and hosts check the area regularly. Most spaces are back in. It is a well maintained county park. We stay there at least once a year. Park includes some nice running/cycling trails. Roads into park are relatively narrow, but accommodate our 36' x 8' 6" motorhome. We camped at Crow's Creek Campground in a Motorhome.

Great value. Clean restrooms and shower. Ice and firewood sold at gate. Spacious sites with room for kids to play. Ranger patrolled. Swim beach 10 minutes away in car. Stayed 8 days, will stay longer next year. This is not a RV park, but camping. 4 hole dump station. We camped at Crow's Creek Campground in a Motorhome.

My favorite place to camp. Camping next to lake/lake view site. Grand kids played in water and late into the night with no problems. Was able to watch the Beavers travel back and forth across the cove in the evening. Nice, friendly hosts. Nice walking/biking trails next to lake. We camped at Crow's Creek Campground in a Travel Trailer.

This was our third stay at this campground in 3 years. It's way off the beaten path and a bit of a challenge to get to on narrow, winding roads but the campground itself is nice. There are several loops: one with water and electric (30amps) and one with just electric (50amps) and another without water or electric. This is a large campground and the loops and sites are nicely spaced out and most sites are long enough for large rigs. There are a few pull-throughs but most are back in sites. There are some partially shady sites but most are full sun. They don't take reservations as it's a first come, first served campground. There are now hosts in the campground who are doing a good job of taking care of the campground. They were friendly and helpful. For those concerned, we had good cell service (Verizon and AT&T) and excellent TV reception from a lot of Kansas City stations. This campground is about 10 miles North of Liberty, MO which has anything you would need in the way of shopping, restaurants, etc. We will probably stay here again! We camped at Crow's Creek Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

The $15 rate reflects a senior discount of four nights for the price of three. The park is a well groomed spacious area with mostly back in sites for RVs. There are lots of spaces available during the week. We have stayed at the park several times. We plan to stay there again. We camped at Crow's Creek Campground in a Motorhome.

Although this is an COE campground, it is run by Clay County and administered by Clay County officials and rangers. It's a very large campground, divided into loops. There are 3 electric only loops (at least one with 50amps) and one electric/water loop, 30amps only. There are also unimproved areas for tent camping. There are several bathhouses but depending on where you set up could be quite a distance from your campsite. The roads into the campground are quite bumpy but don't pose any maneuvering problems for a big rig. Some sites are fairly level but quite a few are very sloped and not at all level. Since they do not accept reservations, it's a first come, first serve, you can drive around and select your campsite. There's a playground for the kids with minimal equipment. Lots of wide open spaces in the campground with nice views. The dump station is large and accessible from two sides so that two rigs can use it at the same time. Campgrounds near Kansas City are far and few between so this one is a good choice if you're doing something in the North side of the city. It's about 12 miles from Liberty. We camped at Crow's Creek Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
