As others have mentioned, it's all about the location. You are in the heart of St. Louis in this park, yet easy access to the highways. This park is a gravel parking lot with hookups. It is not a destination park but it's a great place to stay while rising the city. Clean facilities and safe environment. The surrounding area is a bit sketchy but the park itself is fine. The park fills up during baseball season weekends. Otherwise, it's easy to get a spot. We will stay here again in our motorhome because of the location. We camped at St. Louis RV Park in a Motorhome.

Very convenient location to get a cab to the centre of St Louis. Not a picturesque campground, but the gentleman running it was very helpful and we would certainly recommend it. We camped at St. Louis RV Park in a Motorhome.

Park itself is an older 'parking lot' style. But they give each camper two spots so plenty of room to park tow vehicle. Beware of parking near arch as we had our vehicle broken into. Park staff helped with trying to find a repair facility. Would stay here again but would use public transportation when traveling downtown. Bathroom and showers were immaculate. WiFi was good. We camped at St. Louis RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

It IS big rig friendly. The sites are doubles now, so there is plenty of room to park your car next to your rig. However, do not accept site #9 - it is so low in front that our front wheels were off the ground. Laundry is clean and all 8 machines worked properly (4W/4D). People are very nice. Location is awesome! Everything you could want to visit is nearby. Pool is small but felt delightful in this heat. It is a gravel parking lot with no shade, no trees, and no grass. You are not paying for ambience here:) We camped at St. Louis RV Park in a Motorhome.

We will definitely be going back!!! We live a few hours south but enjoy bringing our kids up for entertainment at Zoo, Magic House, Science Center, etc and will definitely be making more trips because of this park option! I have 2 very small complaints: 1. no trees to help with shade and 2. a little tight with turns if the lot was full BUT neither of these would deter us from returning. The workers were EXTREMELY friendly; facilities were great size and VERY CLEAN; the pool was an added bonus for a couple of hours with the kids!!! We camped at St. Louis RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

The value is in the location and the owners. The painful truth is that the spaces are VERY close together, which gives you little room to position to reach the hookups and open slides. The BEST part is that the owners are friendly and very helpful, they help you get into your space, provide great sightseeing info, and the park is right in the city near public buses (so no need to worry about parking in the downtown). They allowed us to park in the unoccupied space next to our site. If this park was full, it would be crowded, but I feel like the owners would help make it work for you.

The owner took over the park from her parents, who set up the park when

RVs were much smaller. They are now in the slow process of removing

pedestals and utilities in order to allow more space between the sites. In

time they hope to provide more room for each camper. We would stay here

again because of the location and friendliness. We camped at St. Louis RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

A short walk to public buses. 8 block walk to The City Museum (which looks like a total BLAST for children). From there it's $2 p/p for an all-day ticket on the colorfully painted Downtown Trolley to downtown to see many major sights. Laclede's Landing has cobblestone streets with shady sidewalk cafes & bars. Tucker's steakhouse in Soulard neighborhood (too far to walk) was outstanding. The Loft district (near the City Museum) has a very active nightlife.

Super nice people here! Couldn't be more helpful (even extended a military discount because my Dad had been in the military!) changed a reservation around so we could stay an extra day, etc. The location is the winning thing about this place too, otherwise, it's just a big gravel parking lot with a pool. We weren't there for the amenities, we were there to see the city. (and there was so much to see!) We camped at St. Louis RV Park in a Motorhome.

Almost to many to list! The Arch of course (go up in it!), The Capitol (take the tour!), visit the various "neighborhoods", go see the Cathedral Basilica of St. Louis, enjoy the City Museum (even if your not a kid!), visit the two huge cemeteries if your a history buff, and by all means try their unique food!

The best thing about this site is location. You are in the heart of St Louis and just blocks from major attractions and food. Everything else is a short drive. The park is recently under new management (same family, just next generation) and there have been improvements. Most notably is clean up of the park and removal of old/non-used RVs. Also, one now gets "two" sites for one. One for your RV, the other for your vehicle. This is a nice change. Plenty of space for everything. The hookups are full (sewer at every site). The pool is small but very nice. The downsides: It's all asphalt; little grass and no trees. The owner claimed that the WiFi was recently upgraded and all sites should have great connection. This was true in the off-hours. There needs to be some work done with the router to limit the bandwidth so that it doesn't get bogged down in the daytime hours. This is my third time coming to the park and it won't be the last. We camped at St. Louis RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

This is a wonderful location for seeing or doing business in downtown St. Louis. The campground is almost a square city block. As other reviewers have mentioned, it is an asphalt parking lot with many full service sites crowded together. You are asked to take your dog for a walk outside the park, there is no grass.

However, you are just a few blocks from public transportation or you can take an inexpensive cab to where you want to go. No driving, no parking. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Upon check in, you get a map of town with restaurants and areas of interest noted by hand on the map. The phone number for the cab company is provided on your site map of the campground. The swimming pool looked inviting, but we were so busy doing tourist stuff that we didn't take time to swim. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at St. Louis RV Park in a Motorhome.

My husband and I were at first reluctant to stay at an RV Park in the city. But after being assured of safety, we agreed to stay and the site was wide enough to host our 42 ft 5er, with an extra site for our truck. Unlike other RV Parks, there are no trees or grass, but it is in a prime location! Whether we wanted to go downtown (via Trolley), or visit family at local major hospital facilities, or shop in Brentwood ... this location is perfect! The owner's daughter is a very caring and supportive individual and the bathrooms and laundry are impeccably clean!!! It is safe and secure, and it was great meeting people from all over the world, from Italy, Canada, Dominican Republic, southerners, northerners, west coast, east coast ~ I love it!!! We will definitely be back our next visit. We camped at St. Louis RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This is Not a campground; it is a city storage lot with RV hookups, on a marginal-at-best gravel highly-sloped city lot. Very rude staff. Pulled in, saw it, got treated rudely by host, promptly left. We camped at St. Louis RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is a large blacktop parking lot across from the police station. The hosts were great! They have long office hours and provided help in getting into our spot. The spots do require jacks or leveling blocks. All hookups were excellent. The price of $43 for a blacktop lot was excessive, but everything is well-maintained. Lots of long-term; the owner says they have a lot of heart transplant patients and others getting medical care. It was close to attractions. Our 38' motorhome was given a pull-through. This is an old park, and Van gives you a space and the one next to it for your car. Otherwise, it would be really scrunchy. He gave us an EXCELLENT map of the city with attractions' locations noted. We stayed 2 nights and would stay here again. We camped at St. Louis RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips: Entrance is off 23rd St. Pappy's BBQ, a couple of minutes away, has received raves from BBQ raters, and I loved my ribs and coleslaw. They have security in the parking lot. We came at 11:00 on a Sunday and had no wait. The supermarkets we found nearby were weird--they had no bananas. Pick up your produce before you come in.

It is located across the street from a police station. So, although it isn't in a posh neighborhood, we felt safe there. It does have a small pool that is well used. The campground is basically a parking lot with hookups, which is all we needed for a couple of days. Nice people run the place, and as they told me they are only one of three campgrounds in the US that can be found in a city. I would not hesitate to stay they again, or to recommend it. Just don't have expectations of a resort. It is what it is. We camped at St. Louis RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

We read the reviews and decided we'd be fine staying here. It was a good choice. The park was as others described...paved and gravel without grass. The owners were friendly, taking time to tell us and map all the area highlights. The location is very convenient to many attractions and has easy access from I-64.
