Many of the previous comments are true about needing more gravel etc. But you must remember, that this park is on a creek that constantly floods. I am sure it is difficult for them to put in all of the gravel that is needed because of flooding. They actually do a great job of maintaining RV sites as close to the creek as they are. All of the building, grounds and machinery are in great shape and the employee's are well informed as to how to run the business. The entry road and all internal roads are gravel and well maintained. I did not experience any pot holes or bumpy road conditions. Satellite TV service in the 500's was fine. I was able to get AT&T 4g service with We-boost even though at first my phone said no service. I hope to camp here again. We camped at Huzzah Valley Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The campground offers kayaking, canoeing, horseback riding and plenty of open fields for kids and dog walking. The Huzzah creek wraps around a considerable amount of the campgrounds and if you desire you can tent camp right on the river.

This is a beautiful campground on a small river. Rafting, canoeing and kayaking are available on the river. Horseback riding is also available. The sites are spacious and each has a fire ring and picnic table. It is a little rugged which I enjoy. There is a late night camping area across the road from the main campground, so if you want to stay up late and party, you will not be bothering people who want to end their night earlier. My only complaint is that there was not enough gravel at the sites. It was very rainy and most of the sites turned into muddy messes. They were spreading more gravel while we were there, so they are definitely addressing the issue. We camped at Huzzah Valley Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Floating on the Huzzah River is delightful. I have always gone on weekdays and it is peaceful and quiet. I have been told that the weekends can be much more crowded on

Overall Rating:

I've heard about this campground for years...mostly from folks who like the fact that they can float the river and campout from the same site/company. This is a very large outfit in a beautiful valley on the side of the Huzzah river, but (would't you know) the river is very, very low this time of year (and not enough rain this summer). I enjoyed the beauty of the my surroundings, but felt the owners could up their game a bit. The RV sites are just grass with a bit of gravel, and we were in a lot of muddy puddles when it rained. The sites are not very level. They had very little in the way of shower/toilet facilities, relying on port-a-potties spaced about the grounds. The showers were very primitive and cost $.50 to use. All in all, it's a perfect spot if you want to float, kayak or raft the river. I probably won't go back for just camping, however. We camped at Huzzah Valley Resort in a Travel Trailer.

This is a nice facility on the river. Spacious, clean sites with a number of shade trees. Our only problem was lack of sites with a good solid surface for our motorhome. There had been a lot of rain in the area recently and many of the sites were too muddy to get our rig into. More gravel would have been better. The staff was very helpful and did allow us to move sites. Phone and wifi signal was almost non existent. We stayed here with a large group and used the open pavilion for mealtime. Very handy in the rain! We camped at Huzzah Valley Resort in a Motorhome.

Nice park to go and float the area rivers. Owners and all employees were extremely friendly. All spots are on grass and we had 50 amp service. We had rain for an hour on two separate days which made getting out of our spot next to impossible. After a half hour of trying and putting down boards, we got out but left deep ruts. There is no cell service, WiFi, or TV in the park. We camped at Huzzah Valley Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice park on the Huzzah river that offers floating trips. The weekend we stayed the main full hookup area had been reserved so we were put in a field w/ hook ups,and the kids didn't have a playground to use due it being in the reserved area. No discount was offered due to the restricted access. Also the showers were coin operated. ($35 per night, no pool, no shade,no useable playground, and coin showers) We camped at Huzzah Valley Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
