This is a small family owned campground. It has pull through gravel sites. Common room has sofa, tv, exercise equipment. It's old looking but comfy. Laundry is inexpensive. Bathroom needs updated. Good phone service and pretty fast wifi. The owner is on hand at all times. The rules are strictly enforced. Nosey and is in your business. Lovely pool its very clean. We camped at Paradise in the Woods RV Park in a Tent Trailer.

The park is too small, the sewer hook ups are almost at your front door. The bathrooms are outdated and could use a good upgrade. We left early because we overheard the older gentlemen who owns it yell terrible obscene things to a woman who was either dropping off or picking up her teenage boys from the pool that is open to the community, so you don't get privacy, for $2.00 anyone can swim. One boy was black and the gentleman wanted him off his property ASAP. We left soon after because for our own beliefs , my family and I refuse to fund racist behavior and the way he spoke to that mother... my husband was worried for a minute that the man was going to get violent. However , on the bright side, I44 is very near so it made for a quick and easy getaway. I will never return nor would I ever recommend this establishment. We camped at Paradise in the Woods RV Park in a Motorhome.

Right on the freeway, lots of noise. Be careful on the frontage road in. No paved shoulders, drops off into grass. Barely wide enough for rigs to pass. Cramped, tiny entrance. Our 32' rig filled up the whole thing, blocked traffic. Nasty lady in the office used bait-and-switch on my wife. Forced us to park with our nose out in the aisle, very dangerous. Dangerous, not-to-code wiring on post to heat water taps. WiFi weak, took forever to connect. Our tiny picnic table was DIRECTLY over the neighbor's sewer connection. Tried to move it and the top came apart. Won't ever be here again, and it's not Paradise. We camped at Paradise in the Woods RV Park in a Motorhome.

On the good side, the staff was friendly, the pool looked clean and inviting (though I did not swim) and the laundry room had lots of equipment and looked clean. And it is more or less surrounded by 'the woods.'

On the other hand ... the look and feel of the place is hardly 'paradise,' but rather that of a small park that is maintained at barely acceptable levels. That laundry room, for example, had five 'air fresheners', the 'community room' behind it had three and furnishings looked like garage-sale items. The bathroom was clean, it seemed, but very old cinder-block construction, with mortar missing in many places leaving large gaps between the blocks. All in all, it seemed clean but far from inviting.

Many campsites had NO amenities such as picnic tables, fire rings, grills. I was there just sleeping over while passing through, so I did not miss the amenities, but I certainly would not consider a longer stay and would return only as a last resort. In school grades, I give Paradise in the Woods a C-, barely passing. We camped at Paradise in the Woods RV Park in a Motorhome.

Small park, lots of semi permanents. Decent little park. We stopped overnight going on to our next destination. Mary, owner, very courteous and helpful. Lots were pretty close to each other, and if you don't position yourself just right you will not be able to open your slides or put out your awning due to some recently, within a couple of years, planted trees. The campground is up fro sale and they are doing some improvements. utilities work well and are placed nicely. We camped at Paradise in the Woods RV Park in a Motorhome.

Certainly not paradise! Just OK as an overnight stay, but overpriced for what it is. Many permanent residents, and the park is a bit run down. We camped at Paradise in the Woods RV Park in a Motorhome.

Showers/restrooms were clean and good. Didn't use the pool, but looked inviting. Wifi was good, but would time out occasionally; not really a problem. Stay was good and would stay again. We camped at Paradise in the Woods RV Park in a Motorhome.

We stayed here for two nights while visiting in Springfield. Owners were very friendly and helpful. Campground is older with many full timers. Most kept their sites clean & tidy but a few were rather dumpy. Our site was a nice long pull through that was fairly level but very narrow! Our slide out was almost touching our full time neighbor's propane tank! Swimming pool was nice & clean & although we didn't use them, I checked out the showers/bathroom and they were very clean. Older but clean. Camping World is just down the road if you need anything. This is a nice spot for a night or two and we would definitely stay again. We camped at Paradise in the Woods RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Bass Pro Shop in Springfield is worth the trip. Also, take in a Springfield Cardinals baseball game! A very entertaining time!! If you're hungry, visit Lambert's - home of the throwed roll! Go hungry but be prepared to wait 1/2 hr to 1 hr to get in. Bring cash, though, they don't take plastic!

This is a decent park to stay at if you need to stop at the RV supply place up the road. Many permanent residents, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. The spots for temporary/one nighters are not very long or wide but okay for one night. We stayed here for convenience. Management is very accommodating and the price is good. We camped at Paradise in the Woods RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

An OK campground for the price. Good hookups, level site, long pull-through so I didn't have to unhook. Owner is real accommodating and friendly. TV off the antenna. Close to the interstate so some road noise. We didn't hear it inside with the A/C going. I would stay here again. Pretty good Wi-Fi. We camped at Paradise in the Woods RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Our second time to stay in this park. Both times we had scheduled appointments at Camping World. It's a quaint little park. It also has some tight turns in the park, both entering and exiting. TV is over the air with about 6 channels. Rate reflects a Good Sam discount. We'll stay again. We camped at Paradise in the Woods RV Park in a Motorhome.

It's not Paradise but it's not the other place either! Owner quite pleasant, had our site reserved, and warned us about bad weather coming. There had been grass but the drought has ruined it. The site was fairly level, put pads under one side. Sites in back are larger and more shade but poor Internet, so we were in the front. There is a "Wi-Fi" station, in the community room as well as laundry. The bathrooms are concrete block, pink and white; toilet and showers have plastic curtains. We have seen better for $25. However, when the violent weather came we were grateful for gravel and concrete pad!! As a plus, the TV worked with our rabbit ears for the first time. We would stay again. We camped at Paradise in the Woods RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Very nice park, easy to get to with level pull-through gravel sites. Very friendly staff. They have a nice pool. All the hookups worked great. You have to go to the community room to use the Wi-Fi. The bathrooms and laundry room were very nice and clean. Close to I-44 but, no noise. We would stay here again. We camped at Paradise in the Woods RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is the 2nd time we've stayed at this Campground. While this is not a 5 star campground...you don't pay for a 5 star campground. The host, Mary, and her husband are very friendly and extremely helpful people. When we arrived on March 11th it was raining hard and we had problems with our electric hookup. Mary and her husband came right out in the pouring rain to help. They stayed to make sure we solved the problem before heading back inside their home/office. We'll be sure to stay here again when traveling through these parts of the Country again. We camped at Paradise in the Woods RV Park in a Motorhome.

A good little park for an overnight. It is an older camping so the lots are quite narrow, but there is enough room for the slides. The lots are fairly level. The owners are very friendly. Wi-Fi is available in the community room and in the sites close to the community room. The majority of sites seems to be for permanent residents. Close to I-44 but traffic noise wasn't bad. We camped at Paradise in the Woods RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
