6 RV Parks near Weingarten, Missouri
Apr 2016 - $21.00
Although small, Hawn is one of my favorite parks. It is especially nice for families since it is small and not a lot of traffic. The playground is close to any site in the back loop and the kids wade and play in the creek which runs behind many of the sites. During the summer weekends, the rangers often hold educational and craft sessions for the children. Site 13 is particularly nice for families since it is roomy, in view of the playground and backs up to the creek. The restrooms are newer and feature the unisex showers which are convenient for families. Instead of stalls there are individual rooms about 6 feet by 6 feet and are really nice when showering toddlers and other small children. The park is quiet overall. People with children do seem to get up early though. - skeeter417

This is one of Missouri's many fine state parks. Beautiful tall pine trees throughout, very clean and well maintained. We stayed in the first section, its small, but peaceful, the other area is much larger. We love it here. - jstrom

The road to the campground in Hawn State Park is blacktop and at times, very steep. The campsites are concrete and level. Sites 1 through 9 are not big rig friendly. Each site has a picnic table, fire ring, and a post for a lantern. There is an amphitheater with weekend programs and a playground. 26 of the 45 sites offer 30 amp electric, the others are basic sites. There are an additional 5 sites that are for walk-in tent camping. Most of the sites are shady so if you want to use a satellite dish there are only a few that would be suitable. The campground is down in a valley so with the new digital TV stations we couldn’t get any television reception at all. We also couldn’t get a cell phone signal at the campground but driving to the top of the ridge where the dump station is located we could make cell phone calls. A few of the sites back up to the very small Pickle Creek which is great for kids to play in. There is no potable water at the dump station so you have to drive into the campground to fill your fresh water tank at one of the few water spigots spaced out amount the sites. The park has a small laundry and a pay phone available. The showers and bathrooms were clean. If you reserve a site online through the state’s website there is an charge of $8.50 per site in addition to the daily rate of $19 for electric sites. - Oakman

Though short on amenities, we liked this spot. There is water available by hydrant for general area. Pitt toilets. An old cemetery is on the grounds, and there is a great view over the Miss. River Valley. On the weekend it was used by quite a few families. - User424

Very well maintained, clean, and attractive park. Friendly hosts and the park manager was helpful on hiking trail questions. Ranger and Hosts maintained periodic drive by presence. Sites had good space between and mostly near full day shade. Sites were paved, had good drainage and level. The bathhouse was a bit of a walk from first campground (CG) loop. Used it daily, it was clean. The showers had benches and curtains. On site laundry but did not use. Level, paved CG road good for children's bicycling but large hill on park so minimal distance bicycle riding (for the serious only). Excellent hiking trails were mapped and well blazed. Interesting geological terrain features. Trails varied in effort and offered scenic views and creek wading. Creek (shallow and clean moving water) on edge of CG, is easily accessible for wading. Small children's playground with medium sized grassy field for kites, playing catch, etc.. Would visit again. Stayed in 24 ft. travel trailer. - John and Anita
Nov 2016 - $24.00
The Campground is really clean and well thought out. There is a creek that is perfect for swimming in. (I tried to fish but all there is are very small sun fish). I highly recommend hiking the trails, they are a little hilly though. - Mattman1222
Sep 2016 - $27.00
This is a very nice State Park campground. Our site had electric but no water or sewer hookups. There was a dump station at the entrance of the Park.
While we stayed at the campground passing through, it is a good distance from the highway on somewhat narrow roads from certain directions. Still, it was worth the drive as it is a very pleasant campground and area.
Bathrooms were clean and there are spacious, individual rooms for the showers.
There was no wifi but we had 3G signal with Verizon.
We would not hesitate to stay here again. - Mountainseeker
Jun 2017 - $26.00
Full hook up. Great Wifi. No cable. RV Park behind motel. Reservation using krivermotel.com. Only a few RV's there. Off the beaten path, but a good overnight stop on the great River Road. - Alicenpete
Aug 2018 - $38.00
We camped here in a39 foot 5th wheel. Check in staff was friendly. We stayed in J5 at the very back of the park. Site was gravel and level. Would have been very close to neighbors, but had no one close to us. Big trees and shade. Was very easy on and off the freeway following their instructions. Bathrooms by the office were clean and had AC. Nice pool. No problem getting around the trees. Only concern is the interior roads. The park slopes downward towards the back of the park. Some washed out areas that need to be fixed. We were able to maneuver going slow. We would stay here again. - User2475
Jul 2018 - $39.00
They lost reservation but had spaces. Site was not level, jacks had 4 wheels off the ground. Many trees made getting into and out of space challenging. Also navigating internal roads were very tight. Check in person was civil, not much more. No TV over the air and too many trees for satellite. No problems with power, did not use water or sewer. GPS directions were off even using up to date Garmin maps. - Bufford
Jul 2018 - $35.00
We did a late check-in and found they had double booked us. Found camp host and he took care of the extra booking. We were in 40ft motorhome with toad staying just one night passing through. Leaving in the morning was rather difficult, very tight. Almost had to unhook toad as we were inches from a parked car. Will not be coming back; too tight for me. - jammzb
May 2018 - $25.00
This is as it says, set up for sport shooting. There are hundreds of campsites. Literally. However, there is not one single tree, not one. There are no service representatives that we encountered. Camp host was fine, but no real authority. The ticks were tremendous. All in all I would not return. Like camping in the desert no real reason to be there, even for a one night stay. Stay somewhere else. - Georgiajan
Sep 2011 - $25.00
We were here for a International Telephone Pioneer Family Camper Rally.Great facilities for large Rallies. Only problem no shade all sites out in the open. Would return here. - skiphen
Jun 2011 - $25.00
We camped here for six nights with a national rally group. It was our first visit. We liked the shower/toilet combination since it also had a lavatory with it. The temperature of the water from the shower was bearable for the most part. The showers are free but push button. The lavatory on the other hand had a temperature control lever on the faucet. Free Wi-Fi is available at the complex and worked well. During the time we visited, the weather was very stormy. The lack of trees contributed to the high winds during the storms and the high humidity and temperature when the sun was out. All in all, it was a very enjoyable experience. We would not return however, only because the complex is off the "beaten path". - AlinerCamper
