We camped her for 1 night. Very helpful host couple. They drove me up to the payment box which is a good distance from the campground. Nice campground. Level site. Lots of trees. There is just one TV channel on the airways. Good Verizon cell and wi-fi coverage. We would stay here again. We camped at Lake Wappapello State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Fun! Fun! Fun! We stayed here only one night as we were traveling through, but it was very safe, clean, quiet, and comfortable. We would definitely visit this place again and stay longer next time. We camped at Lake Wappapello State Park in a Tent.

Date of Stay: July, 2007 - $16.00
Overall Rating:

Older campground with gravel sites, some big enough for bigger rigs. The bath house in the ridge campground is at the top of a steep hill. There is a small beach access to the lake in the park. The Lake itself is disappointing, very shallow and the bugs were pretty bad. The boat ramps were very good though. Better places to camp in the area than here. We camped at Lake Wappapello State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

The view of the lake from our site was awesome, but it comes with a price. The Geese population is big and they leave their calling cards everywhere! The first thing we did when we arrived at our site was pick them all up! The shower house in the Asher Creek loop is very old and smells. The Ridge loop is better, but not by much. I would go here again if I had an RV so that I wouldn't have to use the restrooms! We camped at Lake Wappapello State Park in a Tent.
