During our travels through Montana we observed that it is still pretty wild and so are its RV parks! LOL. However this is exactly why we like it...including its simple and almost spartan RV parks. This park is nothing fancy - you won't find a recreation room, a swimming pool or a hot tub. It had all we needed though - clean bathrooms and a washer/dryer (didn't use the shower). I will rate it 5 stars because of the following (not necessarily in the order of importance) - incredibly pretty and peaceful location (perched between the cliff and a cute creek), the helpfulness of the manager and great weekly rate. We would wake every morning and go for a bike ride along the creek following the bike path that is right next to the campground leading to awesome peaceful Washoe park that is over 100 years old, with the duck pond, baseball field, trout hatchery, outdoor swimming pool, tennis courts and a bunch of wild deer roaming around! At night from our back door we would hear Warm Springs creek murmuring and watch the starry sky. We loved everything there - Anaconda is absolutely charming and peaceful town with friendly locals, amazing architecture and tons of history! I left a piece of my heart there and we'll be coming back in a heartbeat. We camped at Big Sky RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Galicano's Pizza - hands down the best pizza I ever tried and the friendliest owner ever! Check out Washoe Park, Washoe historical theater, historical Anaconda bus tour (when in season) and Smelter Stack State Park. A short drive away there is a charming town of Philipsburg (hidden gem) and beautiful Georgetown lake with gorgeous views

If it weren't for the owner/manager, I would actually have rated this a 6. But he is so welcoming and just the right amount of helpful I had to up the grade. If you are looking for fancy with a pool, hot tub, game room etc. Look somewhere else. This park is just right for a night or two. The grounds are clean and the park maintained. There appears to be a fair amount of permanent tenants but that is not a problem. The site was a little un-level but nothing a block didn't take care of. The utilities were all good. As the owner/manager will remind you - USE YOUR PRESSURE REDUCER. His PSI is 120 so it is a must. His Cable TV is GREAT - get's a zillion channels. The set up is funky (he connects a box outside your rig and gives you a remote. You connect your coax to his box, set your TV to channel 3 and it works like a charm. Bathrooms are old and small but clean. It is close to town - worth a walk into this cute old town. Deer wander around everywhere. We would stop here again on our way through. We camped at Big Sky RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

This is not a 'trashy trailer park', as described in an earlier review. It is a very nice RV park. The only negative is the close spacing of the sites. I used the laundry, which is comprised of one washer [front loader] and one dryer, both new and very efficient. A paved path will take you to the beautiful, grassy city park where they sometimes do Shakespeare [it was held on Sunday while I was there but I missed it]. There are two sides to this park and the shady side by the road is better. The guests are nice and the host very helpful and friendly. Would stay again. We camped at Big Sky RV Park in a Motorhome.

What a gem of a place. Sites were a little tight, but pretty green grass at each one. Right across the street from the creek and the trail that leads to Washoe Park in one direction and down to the Historic Old Works trail the other way. Quiet, peaceful, FHU, pet friendly, 50 amp, good Verizon coverage. My husband needs good Internet for work and had no problems. DTV worked well. Happy campers and permanents throughout the park. Feels like a community. Occasional get togethers that everyone enjoyed. But what makes this park over and above is the owner. A genuine all around nice guy. Hard working. Will help with anything! Our slide needed repair. He went out of his way to assist my husband in taking care of it. He is also the Go To Guy for tourist information. He knows the area and gave us our best tips on seeing the sites. We intended to stay a week and ended up staying a month. We will definitely go back! We camped at Big Sky RV Park in a Motorhome.

Have stayed here before. Owner is great, some spots are good. But too many full timers in run down campers. The pet area is atrocious, there is dog poo everywhere. We refused to walk our dogs in that. This could be a really cute little park if the dilapidated trailers were made to fix up, or not allowed altogether. We camped at Big Sky RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This is not an RV park! This is another trashy trailer park with 2 empty sites for overnighters. Getting very tired of these trailer parks calling themselves RV parks! Where is Code Enforcement? We camped at Big Sky RV Park in a Motorhome.

Driving up to it, I almost turned around. It looks kind of trailer parky. But we decided to spend the night and I'm glad we did. Full hookups with wifi and cable tv. There is a big cliff on one side rising above the park, and the other side has a nice little creek. The owner was very nice and it's right by downtown Anaconda. We camped at Big Sky RV Park in a Motorhome.

Decent place. Some shade along street at backside of sites. Bathrooms were clean. My three issues were with the pet area (full of excrement), the extra fee for each person after the first two ($1.50 each), and the torn US flag at the top of the pole. (I'm a vet and believe the owner is too based upon the USMC hat he was wearing.) It's near a nice park and walking path. Not a bad place, but just don't step into the pet area without looking down. We camped at Big Sky RV Park in a Tent Trailer.

This is one of the "Best" RV Parks we have stayed in, in our 8 years of travel. The owner is one of the nicest owners we have encountered. He takes great pride in his park and ensuring his customers have everything they need. The grass yards are wonderful! No need for a mat. All amenities work as stated on website. Great internet! Thank you for a wonderful place to call home! We camped at Big Sky RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed at the park because it was the closest to town and the Old Works Golf course. It is quiet and there ia a very nice paved path that runs along the creek to take the dog for a walk or yourself. There are deer around and if you walk at the right time they will be out to see. There appear to be several permanent residents and some rigs are in good shape while others have a run down look to them. I did not see any pull thru sites, only back in sites. Durinig our stay we took the tour around town and it was very informative. Please take the time to see a movie in the historic theater and you will be happy you did. If you are a golfer play the Old Works Golf Course designed by Jack Nicklaus. While we were at our site I smelled sewer odor off and on and could not figure why until the day we left. Luckily we only had the grey water hose opened while we were there because when we removed it the water was overflowing from the sewer. It appears the site next to us also had the same issue. The cable tv is another issue. It is Comcast and if you have an analog tv you must get the box fromm the office and do a special connection to get tv. The first box did not work but the second did. Wifi works if you are at or very close to the office otherwise it is not good. I used my ipad with cellular service. I am not sure what site we had so I entered A. We camped at Big Sky RV Park in a Motorhome.
