Easy on, easy off the interstate. Very friendly staff. Owners working hard to maintain the grounds; spraying sites for weeds; watering the grass. Our site was long enough for our 45' coach, tow vehicle, and two guest cars. A train passes through very close by but it didn't bother us at all. I recommend this park. We camped at Big Timber / Greycliff KOA in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Main Street is only four blocks long but contains many quaint shops, etc. The Bakery is open until 4PM; great food. Several art galleries to peruse. Gift shop at "The Fort" is open 'til 6; lots of souvenirs. Drive up to the Natural Bridge Waterfall; beautiful!

Have been here before and only reason we wanted full hu. Stayed at other campground on river for a week and would have stayed longer but no full hu. As before, and mentioned in many reviews, over priced by about 10 bucks. Typical KOA, gotta pay for franchise fees. Interaction with office folks was ok. Office was nicely stocked with typical campground supplies. We have been to about 20 KOAs over the years and only because no other options. This one ranks with many. Over priced versus the competition. Except for hundreds of dead tree limbs scattered around, landscape plants and trees looked healthy. Maintenance of large pines, though needed to be trimmed and branches are full of dead cones and debris. Too bad. Someone could make this a great place if KOA wasn't involved. We had a pull thru 30 amp fhu for 55 bucks. No. I'm not kidding. If issues change, we may come back. We camped at Big Timber / Greycliff KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Stayed for one night. There was train and traffic noise, but did not bother us after a long day of traveling. The campground looked well maintained and clean with a lot of activities for smaller children. The individual sites are very narrow and you step out of the front door to your neighbors sewer, electrical and water hookups. The sites are long enough for long vehicles and you should not have to disconnect. The trees are mature and provide a lot of shade, but be careful maneuvering your rig as some are close to where you need to turn. All campground roads and pads are gravel. There is a small babbling brook at the back of the campground. A good spot to spend the night off the road, but is pricey for the narrowness of individual campsites. We camped at Big Timber / Greycliff KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Will NEVER stay there again due to the manager's attitude. It is a nice looking KOA. Had a pull thru with full HU. The sewer pipe in our site stuck high up off the ground for a sewer hose, luckily we had a box to elevate it. After getting settled in, noticed a dead tree branch above the RV and there were 27 mph winds per Weather.com that day. Based on the time of day we figured we would just be asked to move, so climbed on the roof and took down the branch. Called manager, she called back about 45 min later. Relayed what we did and asked for a discount or something for our inconvenience. She could have cared less. She said she had 2 full time maintenance men (funny they never noticed a dead branch quite a few feet long and brown) to take care of things and refused anything, only repeated she had the 2 full time maintenance men. I would have been happy with even a $5 credit but she could care less about our inconvenience or the damage it could have caused to our RV. Funny I never got the standard rate my stay review from that KOA, like all the others. We camped at Big Timber / Greycliff KOA in a Motorhome.

We stayed just a single night passing through the area and we enjoyed our stay here. Check in process was smooth and escorted to the site. Had an off leash area for dogs albeit small but it was okay. I could not get the cable to work and neither could my neighbor but we use our dish just fine. The sites has decent amount of space between them not huge but acceptable and it was grass. Wifi was weak as well as at&t, Verizon was decent. We camped at Big Timber / Greycliff KOA in a Motorhome.

We stayed just one night passing through. The sites are pretty narrow but long enough for our 42ft fifth wheel and truck. The train tracks are very close by and very active but we made it through the night. Nice amenities for the kids and easy access to the interstate and they did escort us to our site. A little pricey for what is was but still cheaper than the Billings rv parks. We camped at Big Timber / Greycliff KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a repeat visit. Take exit 377 from I-90, head south a few feet, turn right. CG is just around the bend on old route 10, on the right. Access road is asphalt in good condition. Friendly staff. Credit cards accepted. CG roads are newly placed, crushed gravel with easy turns around trees and no overhead obstacles. FHU-20/30/50. Sites are level, crushed gravel, sufficiently long with adequate space between sites. Grass between sites. Utilities are mid-site. No patios. Picnic tables. Cabins. Picnic pavilions with charcoal grills. A few sites have good satellite reception but there are a lot of trees. No site fires permitted. Low water pressure with okay taste. Office store has food, snacks, soft drinks, and some RV essentials. Restrooms/showers use hotel-style, swipe cards available at the office (score "not used"). No propane sales. Coin laundry. Multiple playgrounds. Pool and spa. Cable TV. Free Wi-Fi with decent connection. Verizon coverage at "3 bars". Minor freeway noise but nearby trains run 24/7. Bug Report: no notable insects. Recycle aluminum only. We camped at Big Timber / Greycliff KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Big Timber, MT is 7 miles west on I-90 or take old route 10. This is a tiny, cute, quaint hamlet along the interstate. Landromat on McLeod St. Groceries at "The Fort" east of town. Diesel at $2.439. Churches. A couple of local eateries. Try the Country Skillet at the west end of town. No RV parts or service facilities. Ace Hardware on McLeod Street. The pharmacy has a "soda fountain" with excellent milkshakes.

This is actually titled the Big Timber/Greycliff KOA. It is a Journey class, and after experiencing this place we think it means it is a park you only want to pass thru once. No KOA signs so follow directions. There is a long abandoned water park out of a Stephen King novel adjacent to the KOA so when you see it you know you have arrived.

Access is tight. Roads and sites are rough gravel. There is grass between the sites. Sites are narrow but long enough. Lots of big trees so if you have a roof mounted satellite, shoot for site 23-25. There is an "apology" on the back of the park site map saying they can't help the highway noise (not too bad) nor the trains: which sound like they are under your slideout.

Not many places to walk your dog. There is a standard "tiny" KOA off leash area. While walking our dogs (which we clean up after) we were told by the staff they were concerned that our dogs were 'going' near the campsites (they weren't) and we should use the dirty dog run. Instead we walked them near the extensive on premises dump or up in the abandoned water park. We noted that the water supply pipe runs thru the dump so we used on board water.

Not pet friendly. Not really kid friendly; there is a small playground and a dirty bounce field, but most kids toys were spotted in the dried out stream bed of the water park. There is a pool but it was covered in August. Said they would uncover it if we wanted to use it!

Although not very nice, it is nicer than another, rated #1 (really) KOA. I looked at the ratings on this place, and anyone who gave it an 8 must be related to the 6 inhabitants of the town. We camped at Big Timber / Greycliff KOA in a Motorhome.

Long shady sites close together. 10:00am check out which is earlier than most. Stayed one night on our way through. Very noisy! Close to freeway and trains all day and night. They do offer ear plugs. We camped at Big Timber / Greycliff KOA in a Motorhome.

This a so so park. The sites were pull through gravel and long. Electric and sewer were good. We had difficulty finding the park, as the address was incorrect. There was a pool, a little small but OK. There was a lot of road noise that was very irritating when outside. We camped at Big Timber / Greycliff KOA in a Motorhome.

Very convenient to the Interstate, though the driving directions may not be very clear. The staff were friendly and helpful. There were quite a few trains passing by; I like trains, so that was no problem for me, but if you don't like trains it could be trouble. The park seemed to be in the middle of getting ready for the season, so there was work to be done. There were several campers who appeared to be permanent residents, but they kept their sites nice for the most part. Overall, this was a fine place to stop for the night. Nice facilities, very clean through. Lots of trees for shade. Good access next to freeway, however road noise audible and trains through day and night. Didn't bother us much, but does bother some. Reserved site via phone. Check-in was very quick. Friendly staff and escorted to our site. Spacious gravel sites. Lots of mature shade trees but no clearance issues with our 40 ft motorhome. Park well maintained and would definitely stay here again. I rated it as a 9 only because of the noise from the highway and a occasional train. Our site was in the back of the park and with our a/c, the noise did not affect us. We camped at Big Timber / Greycliff KOA in a Motorhome.

I made a reservation for one of the long pull-throughs. We arrived mid-day and the place was empty. The sites looked well spaced and nice grass between the sites. Check in was quick and efficient. We did not use any of the facilities so I cannot comment on those. The reason for such a low rating is because the site they gave us had tall grass and weeds growing up around the site utilities and the grill had two plastic Pepsi bottles in it that were filled with tobacco spit. I looked around at other sites and none of them had these problems. I have no idea why they put us in this site because at daybreak the next day there were only 4 other sites occupied. For $49 I expect a "clean" site. In my travels, I am finding that customer service is the biggest difference between a high rating and a low one. We camped at Big Timber / Greycliff KOA in a Fifth Wheel.
