Very nice, albeit expensive, KOA. The site has a patio and patio furniture with nice landscaping. All facilities worked well. There is a caution though, Site 1 has a large tree guarding the right side of the entrance into the site and there is a retaining wall on the left side of the site. The access road also has parking for the office directly abeam of site 1. If you drive a tall coach, like a Newmar, watch the tree when turning into the site! There is a large branched trunk that intrudes into the site space and judging by the scars on the tree it has been hit numerous times! We camped at Billings KOA in a Motorhome.

This has tied for my top favorite park I've ever stayed at in the two years we've been living on the road. Beautifully manicured with pots of overflowing flowers everywhere you look. The best 18 hole RV miniature golf park I've ever seen smack in the middle of the park. They charge $5 per round/per person but when we tried to pay for a second round they wouldn't take our money and said it was on the house - nice. Our site was a premium site with a concrete pad and patio, a beautiful iron swing, steel picnic table, and two benches with a beautiful fire pit (couldn't use it though due to fire ban). Our site was so beautiful I wanted to spend every minute outside - and I did! They also rent pedal cars in various sizes and on the weekend you could barely walk through the park for fear of being run over by a kid on a pedal car or a bicycle. Some might not like that but I loved the festive feel and it quieted down during the week. To clarify our nightly rate - our premium site rate was $80 per night with a KOA 10% discount but we had 50,000 KOA points to use which deducted $100 from our total making it $55 per night. They have a dinner shack that serves breakfast and dinner. We tried the ribeye dinner w corn on the cob, beans, potato salad & Texas toast. Our ribeye was not good and I had to throw half of it away due to gristle and fat but a lady at the pool said hers was excellent - so we would try it again. They also have an ice cream stand every evening where you have a choice of about eight flavors of ice cream cones. Without a doubt, we will be back - a true resort-y vacation feel! We camped at Billings KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Very nice campground but a bit on the pricey side. We had a premium back in site that was on the edge of the campground bordering a private residence. The site was plenty long and level and we had room for our towed car in front as well. The site also had a nicely landscaped patio pad with a table and umbrella as well as a swing and a fire ring. By far the nicest KOA we have stayed in. We camped at Billings KOA in a Motorhome.

Generally, a very well kept park, great staff with plenty of things to do. Pity that some guests with a "we're leaving in the morning" attitude don't clear up after their pet, especially on the ground at the west side of the complex. Like other older KOAs, it still has a layout from a time when RVs were smaller, making today's big rig motor homes and 5th wheels a challenge to maneuver around the roads. Had to park our towed car sideways to fit on the site footprint. Our patio site was excellent, but trees and low branches meant I had to back out rather than pull through to exit. Access to the sky for satellite and the wi-fi was acceptable. Would visit again. We camped at Billings KOA in a Motorhome.

Space 165 on the pond had a nice view from the back but some goose droppings to maneuver around. It was. Ice and quiet but would likely stay in older section next time, maybe on the river. Showers very clean with toilet and individually lockable. Grounds are immaculately kept with nice grass and flowers. Mini putt was $5 each bit nice and fun. Ice cream stand a nice treat. We love this KOA. We camped at Billings KOA in a Motorhome.

This is a resort park. Many families and children. It is also older and built for smaller RV's. Park streets are paved, hard turn out of site. No escort to site. Wifi usable very early or late at night. Verizon signal good. T-Mobile 3-g. FHU's good and mid site. We were in site 28. It was a premium site, but right behind is a double dump station with early morning and late afternoon congestion. Not sure why they would make premium sites next to the dump station. The site was narrow, but had a nice patio and table, bench and fire ring. Not sure why, but I coach sat. had view of the 101/119 sats. but direct tv would not lock on. Neighbor in 26 had same problem. Carryout worked ok on table. (sat. checked at next stop ok) Sites 25 and 30 were larger. Only a few site even have sat access. Park has cable tv with many stations. Our calbe up was good, other's who were in the office reporting problems with the cable. Did not try OTA. Best to unhood toad at check in. Site was long enough for 36' + toad. Would hook up toad on way out, can be a tight turn out of the site with a larger class A if the toad is attached. Nice people at check in. Good camp store. Scoop ice cream. Many treed sites. Great pool. Good park for families. We camped at Billings KOA in a Motorhome.

Might be the USA's Best KOA. Very clean and lots for kids to do. Onsite restaurant serves Breakfast and Supper. Some sites can be a challenge for big rigs and Direct and Dish TV. They could do a little tree trimming. Site surface is a concrete pad and features a fire ring, picnic table and patio.

Billings is a very expensive place to stop with RV's. If you can afford the nightly rate $$$$, this is your spot. We camped at Billings KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Really pretty park. Nicely maintained. Our site was nice with paved patio, swing and table. Level, gravel site and convenient on off I 90. Quiet at night, but with so many things for kids to do, it is busy during the day. Hookups good. Wifi adequate, but slow at times. We camped at Billings KOA in a Motorhome.

For $53 we got a mud and grass back in site infested with Canadian geese. This cg is not an overnight stop. Lots of family activities. Watch out for the kids on their 3&4 wheel scooters. When the folks next door showed up to park in their even muddier site, they had a hard time finding a dry spot. Called the front desk. They said they would send help. No one ever showed up. Several other campers were held up until the guy finally got situated.

Power pedestals are poorly maintained. Dump station at entrance. We camped at Billings KOA in a Travel Trailer.

This is a typical KOA. Clean and well-run. Nice mini-golf for $5.00 per person. Campground has a little restaurant that serves breakfast and dinner. Getting into spaces can be tight, but manageable. Grass between the sites, but when we arrived (early) they were watering which made a little bit of a mess. Because of all the trees, we were unable to get any satellite (Direct TV). Were able to use our antennae for local channels. There is no sewer connections, but a nice dump facility near the entrance. If you need a sewer hookup, this is not the park for you. We camped at Billings KOA in a Motorhome.

This park was crazy. It probably didn't help that we arrived on a Saturday night for a one-night stopover. It took us longer to get to our site than to set up - the park has all their go kart rentals right at the check in area! The kids don't seem to care there are RVs pulling in, so you're trying to weave around 10-20 kids on karts, very poor design. The pool and the mini golf were phenomenal and there were tons of activities for the kids, including a huge playground. The sites themselves were level and well maintained, with plenty of room to stay hitched. This is definitely a destination resort - I would not recommend it for a one night stopover like we did, it was just too crazy busy with people. We camped at Billings KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

This is the original KOA campground (per sign in their office), and some of that shows. First, the campground is very well maintained. There are nice amenities here. The staff was courteous and helpful. That's the good news. The bad news is that for this price it does NOT include full hookups. Water and electric only for what is a very high price tag. The other issue is that the park was clearly laid out when RVs were much smaller. The sites are practically on top of each other, the roads are very narrow, and navigation in a 40 foot motorhome towing is difficult. We just fit into a space with no room to spare on either end. The couple across the street moved out first, so it was easier to get out but we had to drive into their space to do so. We camped at Billings KOA in a Motorhome.

We had a deluxe patio pull-through site on an end, which was huge with nice landscaping. This is the first KOA and is a showpiece for KOA. It is run like a well oiled machine. The roads are all paved so no dust. The park is immaculate. Big pool, nice play area for kids. A river runs by the park but you cannot swim in it. All the RV sites and tent sites are plenty big enough. They have fresh ice cream every night until 9 and there is a small restaurant that has breakfast and BBQ at night. We didn't try it but it was busy. See more at blog. Big Cable TV selection. We camped at Billings KOA in a Motorhome.

It's Billings. Shop at the Lucky's Market best in town for fresh food, organic and prepared foods, pizza chicken also Smokey Bones BBQ. Best ribs I have had in years. We just happened on their food truck going to Luckys. They have a restaurant to. You can locate the food truck at their Facebook page.

We stayed here on our way to West Yellowstone. Montana is a sparsely populated state, so there aren't many campgrounds along the interstate expect near the larger cities. This KOA is the first and oldest. The bathrooms/showers by the main office are brand new and very nice. The others are old. We took our showers at night and good thing because there was a very long line in the morning to use the bathrooms and the showers. We used the hot tub and that was a mistake because we ended up with a body rash afterwards. We will never do that again. The campground is on the south side of Billings and when the wind blows just right you get pretty strong odors from all of the oil refineries in the area. We didn't like the smell at all and it really detracted from the overall experience. That is not a factor the campground can control of course, but just be mindful if you are sensitive to smells. We thought the campground was overpriced considering the general condition of the place and the smells. We very likely would not camp in Billings again and we stay somewhere else to avoid the smells from the refineries. We camped at Billings KOA in a Travel Trailer.
