We were here in the off season so it wasn't crowded. There are 2 sites per gravel pad so it would be tight. We were at the end near the small fenced dog park. The individual shower rooms were nice. I was disappointed how many people didn't pick up after their dogs even though bags are provided. We camped at Yellowstone River RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

Our site looked onto what looked like a dump site. Camper was allowed to string clothesline and hang wash. Tie dogs up outside all day, store pontoon boat, motorbikes, bicycles, assorted car parts - all in violation of rules. The office ignored it. Not worth the money. We camped at Yellowstone River RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

We pulled into a pull thru full hook up site before realizing they park 2 campers in each site facing opposite directions. Terrible setup with the picnic table on the driver's side. We left and went next door to the another park. We camped at Yellowstone River RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

We left after seeing our site and went to the campground next door. RVs face each other and slides almost touch. Picnic tables are on the hookup side (along with your neighbors table) on a narrow strip of grass. It's way overpriced for the size lot. We camped at Yellowstone River RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

What a rip off! $80/night with discount, and packed in like sardines on gravel sites. Thank goodness I was traveling with family as our awnings were toe to toe. WiFi is non-existent. My site was a mud hole as they had just watered the "grass" of which there is only about a 2 foot strip between opposing sites. Folks across the way were directed to enter their site per the park map, but they were totally backward; they had to buy extra hose in order to reach the spigot. Just awful. Never again. Very much overpriced. The restrooms and showers are clean and individual ones where you have the sink, toilet and shower in one private room. The sites are very close together. There wasn't room for our chairs beside our door after another rig pulled in. Not room to put out the awning, and you could barely walk between the two rigs. The sites were gravel and not level. There was a picnic table, There were two picnic tables at the neighbor site, but not room to move it to our site. The cable TV went out for a few hours. The internet was OK when we first got here, but then didn't work at all, probably because the two neighbor trailers were so extremely close to ours. We will never stay here again. We camped at Yellowstone River RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Over promised and under delivered. Would never give consideration to staying here again. We have stayed in WalMart parking lots rather than stay here. Rude staff. Very expensive. Very cramped. There are definitely better just down the road. Keep moving. We camped at Yellowstone River RV Park and Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Sites are very cramped, had to move my 5th wheel so guy next to me could open his pop outs. Very tight sites, not worth the $78. Pool is on the small size and the bathrooms are outdated. Would not stay here again. We camped at Yellowstone River RV Park and Campground in a Travel Trailer.

We had no reservation, but in October there is not much competition for sites. Nice space between sites. Well kept bathrooms. Wifi and cable worked well. Big mature trees. Level asphalt sites. We camped at Yellowstone River RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

Billings RV parks are way overpriced. But as one reviewer put it...They charge high prices "because they can".

Yellowstone River Park was nice. The spaces are a bit tight. Two RV's per site, opposite facing. Many of the sites were taken by long-term/permanent residents. Propane tanks, wheel covers, even a couple attached decks. It's the owner's right to sell long-term sites, but we travelers would like the bigger spaces, too.

The dog run needed better cleaning. Upon arrival, we called and asked if someone could pick up the unpicked up poop. They sent someone out, but it would be nice if 1) dog owners would be more respectful and pick up after their dogs and 2) the management would ensure the cleaner-up-er person did a better job. We actually watched one morning when the gentleman in the golf cart drove up, opened the poop disposal, closed the poop disposal and drove away. He didn't empty the container and he didn't pick up any poop. One morning a nice lady, while watching her dog, actually picked up poop from other dogs. Our site was across the road from the pet area, so we got a good view of all the happenings.

The check-in ladies were very nice. We would stay here again if if the area. We camped at Yellowstone River RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

After reading prior reviews, I was really unsure what to expect. We were very pleasantly surprised the moment we pulled in. The entire appearance is first class, neat, manicured lawns and gardens, and tons of antiques to decorate the grounds. Management was great to work with. Had to switch sites last minute. Not a problem. Nearly every site is a pull through. Very level. Wide paved roads in perfect shape. Gravel sites but very neat, level. The most sites are setup as pull thru's with 2 RV's to a site facing opposite directions so utilities are on the outer sides of the site. With today's big 5th wheels and motorhomes, it is candidly a bit close. But we had no issues with slides or neighbors. Everyone was very respectful. Beautiful mature Cottonwood trees throughout the park pruned with very high canopies so no problems there. Our Satellite worked just fine. Very convenient to Billings downtown and the interstate without any noise issues. It is a very well run place. It is a bit on the pricey side even for all it affords campers. But it is competitive with other clean, well maintained campgrounds in the area. I would definitely stay here again. I'd stay longer if it weren't for the cost. A few days to a week, definitely try this campground. We camped at Yellowstone River RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

1-Beartooth Pass is a good day's adventure.

2-On the way to Beartooth Pass, you must allow some time to visit Red Lodge. Very cool old western town with great restaurants and shopping.

3- Moss Mansion in Billings.

4-Local Farm League baseball in an excellent stadium downtown Billings to name a few things.

I am not one to complain. But this is definitely an exception! Expensive! Cramped/shared sites! When we checked in, the staff was wonderful, the store lovely, but the rate was a real shocker. Ok, we figured it must be worth it. We drove to our site, following the park map, and there's someone in our spot! After introductions, and polite conversation, we both realized we're sharing the site. Ok, this is going to be a real challenge. We both positioned as far forward as possible, while still allowing for utility hookup. Face to face, doorway to doorway, with just enough room to walk through. Our slides were able to be used, but just barely. Fortunately, we were both very experienced at maneuvering our rigs. Our new best friend and site partner agreed with us, that sharing a site should result in half price rates. I've been RVing for decades, and never seen such a thing.

The entertainment for the remainder of the evening, was watching rigs pull in, set up & spread out, and then hastily have to make room for the surprise guests, that are sharing their space. Fun times. Perhaps ok for smaller units, but big rigs should not be squeezed together like that.

The park is not directly on the river; you must hike quite a distance, through several dry washes, and narrow weedy trails (bring bug spray). Nice RV park, pretty gardens, and nice antique farm equipment display. But unless they convert the spaces to single occupancy, especially for the big rigs, we won't stay here again. We camped at Yellowstone River RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

May go down as the worst park we've ever stayed in. The pictures on Good Sam are not what you get. Those nice looking spaces are for the permanent campers. What you get is a shared side by side space with another RV that puts you way too close for comfort between RVs on either side. We had to pull our 5th Wheel all the way to the front of our space in order to reach all connections and then park in back of it, and as close as possible in order to fit. It was so bad and so cramped we left after just one night, even though we had booked two. Other campers did the same. We had to BACK out of our space because there was not enough clearance between the tree and other vehicles. The motorhome one space over had to do the same to get out. Way way over priced. Although the staff was friendly and they have nice green areas around the perimeter, we would Never stay here again. We camped at Yellowstone River RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed here one night. During our 2 week travels this is by far the most expensive to stay at. I spoke with fellow campers and it was the same topic of conversation. Not much to choose from in the area and I guess they know it. Had a nice dog park that is enclosed. The showers and bath rooms were clean and adequate. I've stayed at much nicer places for less but it worked for us. It was quiet at night. Spots were close in to others. We camped at Yellowstone River RV Park and Campground in a Travel Trailer.
