This is our favorite fishing access site in Montana. The view is awesome. Sometimes a bit of road noise but not bad. Always deer. The parking lot at one end cuts traffic way down. I usually stay in # 11 at the end We camped at Russell Gates Memorial Campground in a Motorhome.Undo

Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks campground and boat access on Blackfoot River 36 miles E of Bonner. Most sites right on river. Our 36' 5th wheel would "fit" on 5 of the 12 sites. Great for fishing and launching rafts or boats. Pit toilets, water and garbage facilities. Lots of shade trees. Downside - traffic, noise and dust from fishermen and rafters, especially on weekends. But ranger told us this was changing with a new parking lot and boat launch to be built at one end of park so campground would be more isolated from boat traffic. We camped at Russell Gates Memorial Campground in a Fifth Wheel.Undo
