New owners working hard to fix up this park. The office, laundry, and bathrooms look great. The sites themselves are pretty run down but all the utilities worked just fine. Location is excellent...close to several small towns and Glacier NP. And the owners and workers couldn't be nicer or more helpful. WiFi was iffy, but that is true anywhere in this remote part of the country. The office provides a desktop computer for guests to use and the Internet worked pretty good when we used their desktop. We would stay here again. We wish the owners much success with their new business. We camped at Mountain View RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Kalispell has all the big box store shopping you could need. Whitefish Mountain has beautiful hiking trails and a ski lift ride to the top. Whitefish is a great mountain town with quaint little shops and restaurants. Smiths grocery in Columbia Falls is terrific.

I thought the room with the laundry, restrooms, showers and office was very clean and nice. the people were friendly and warm. The park is not fixed up, lots of dry grass, no trees, drain field takes up most of the park, with the perimeter filled with permanents. I thought it was quite over priced for the way the park looked. the site was narrow and long enough but was very difficult to squeeze out of when we left. I would probably look for something else. We camped at Mountain View RV Park in a Motorhome.

Close to all things Glacier National Pk. Grass between sites was overgrown, sewer drain too high, picnic table was unusable. Many full time workers and seasonal campers, they kept to themselves. Felt safe and no one bothered our outdoor 'stuff'. No play ground for kids. Must be a septic field problem as a Septic pumper truck came twice while we were here to pump out the park tanks. Over priced for what it is. Office building and grounds were neat and clean but camper sites were neglected. OK for an over night or two. We will look elsewhere when we pass through here again. We camped at Mountain View RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Glacier entrance about 45 minute drive. Kayak on Hungry Horse Reservoir. Columbia Falls Thursday night farmers market: lots of food trucks and artist tents but not much farm stuff. Kalispell has every box store and chain food restaurant imaginable, Whitefish 'resort' town was hip but expensive. We used Auto Glass Wash and Wax in Whitefish to repair a chip in our windshield. $9.95 great work and the price was right!

Stayed at this park last minute, after we had to cancel reservations in Missoula due to multiple wildfires in the area. The staff was very friendly and helpful in fitting us in. The owners have recently purchased the campground and are in the process of fixing it up. This is a smaller park with no frills, but sites are easy access, with decent size grassy area between sites. Sites are gravel, somewhat narrow, and ours was slightly unlevel side to side, but manageble. We weren't able to park our truck at our site without parking on the grass. Full hookups worked well. Good WiFi. No cable, but we were able to pick up several over-the-air stations. Good location close to Glacier NP and Whitefish. We did not use the bathrooms. The laundry facility was located off the office and appeared clean. We enjoyed our stay and hope the new owners continue with their improvements. We camped at Mountain View RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Good RV park to stay when visiting the National Park. Spaces are a little tight but have been in worse places. The have a nice little RV supply store and the prices are reasonable. Wifi was good and we used our satellite for TV since they don't have cable. Didn't really like all the speed bumps in the park but guess they put them there for a reason. They don't allow pens for dogs but we saw a few under 5th wheels with the dogs outside and the owners inside...didn't hear any barking so guess it was good. We camped at Mountain View RV Park in a Motorhome.

New owners at this park. They are really cleaning the place up. No more junky rigs around. Bathrooms and laundry very clean and nice all redone. The owner is working very hard at getting things done. This is a very nice park. They have lots of plans for next year yet. This park is right on the bike route also. Large sites and long pull throughs. I would highly recommend this park. We would have enjoyed our stay here if we were located in a site that was further away from the highway. It is a very busy road and quite noisy. The bathrooms and showers are clean and water pressure good. We camped at Mountain View RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

We discovered Hugh Rogers Dog Park. Awesome. It is five acres with a fenced in pond, small separate dog area, walking paths, dog wash area. The only problem we discovered was that the fencing in the whole park and especially in the small dog area had gaps at the bottom that allowed our 25 pound dog to escape. So watch out for that with the little ones. Lovely mountain views and benches to sit.

Park owners are very friendly and professional. They're investing considerably into improving it. Only downside is that some of those staying here don't pick up after their dogs and there's a fair amount of doggie doo in various places. Park was almost full while we were here with a mixture of tourists and full-time working folk and homesteaders. Spot was fine, although with the power pedestal towards the front, I couldn't back in as far as I wanted to. We camped at Mountain View RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

The campground has a new owner, so ideally things will continue to improve, but we will likely stay somewhere else the next time we visit the Glacier National Park area. PROS: The newly installed WIFI operated better than most campground WIFI systems, but as would be expected, it is dependent on how many people are using the wifi system. The grass is regularly mowed. The site spacing is tight, but better than some other RV parks in town. The owner nicely put us in a site that was behind the main building, which helped muffle the highway traffic noise. CONS: There were numerous older RVs that appeared not to be well cared for in the RV park (something the new owner likely inherited). The trash dumpster was overflowing for several days during our stay (not a good sign, since that is under the new owner's control). Bottom line the RV park is "ok", but not overly desirable, campground to stay at when visiting Glacier National Park: site spacing is tight; the park is expensive (for what you receive and compared to some other campgrounds in the area); there is road noise; and the park is not particularly attractive which was further exacerbated by the numerous older RVs in disrepair. We camped at Mountain View RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

New owner was a prince, and very friendly and helpful. There are a bunch of folks cleaning, mowing and doing maintenance, keeping the place immaculate. Our gravel space had a lot of room between rigs and was level. There is grass between spaces. Despite fronting on two-lane Highway 40, it was quiet. The park is great for easy access to Whitefish/Columbia Falls and Glacier National Park. We will go back. We camped at Mountain View RV Park in a Truck Camper.

I stayed for three nights and was generally satisfied with the site. The sites need leveling and the grass at each site was not groomed although a center section of lawn meant for recreation was nicely trimmed. I used the laundry facilities and it was clean and the machines efficient. There are several full time residents in the park but all the sites were well kept. The new owner and the park staff are very nice and provided excellent service. I offer these small criticisms only because I know the owner wants feedback from customers and as time goes by he will remedy any issues. I would recommend staying here. Tips for other Campers:

Kalispell is close by and has Walmart, reasonably priced gasoline and all the big name stores in a couple of malls essentially right across the highway from each. From Columbia Falls where the park is located there is easy access to Whitefish and the West Glacier Park entrance.

Park under new ownership and rates are higher than shown on prior reviews. 30 amp is now $39.95, 50 amp is now $44.95. Owner claims to offer Good Sam discount although rate charged is same as offered to everyone on website. Power was good, park is clean, and laundry was good. We did not use bathroom or shower facilities. Park is nice although roads are narrow and somewhat challenging to maneuver larger motorhomes and 5th wheels. Limited space on pull-through sites forces cars to be parked very close to roadway which further adds to difficulty. Park is on Hwy 40 and you will hear traffic noise although it's not horrible. With tax for 50 amp I was charged $48.10 a night (including GS discount as per owner), not the best value so not sure I would return. We camped at Mountain View RV Park in a Motorhome.

We arrived into this RV site after quickly departing another in southern Kalispell that I will not mention directly ( think lyrics in a John Denver song). We found this site on a recon via our toad before relocating. The owners were extremely friendly and accommodating, especially since we were RV'ing in winter from Daytona Beach, Florida. This location afforded us a closer location to Whitefish Mountain Resort for skiing and dining for meals.

I was very pleased with their customer assistance in clearing out the sight of snow, exposing the dump tank location next to the 30/50 amp hook up, and with their assistance in guidance in prepping the water access (freezing temperatures at this time of season).

The bathrooms and laundry facilities were very exceptionally clean! I really liked that the bathroom/showers were individual stall units, with locking doors since I had let my two young sons go to conduct hygiene on their own. We camped at Mountain View RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

I am biased to Whitefish since we have visited many times before, but never in a Class A motorhome and in winter. One extra bit of information for any other travelers to this area. The ACE hardware store in Whitefish is EXCELLENT in having any needs met or guidance/solutions being provided for those Murphy type situations when they occur.
