This is a big, wide-open RV park on a butte overlooking the Cut Bank River. Since it was late July, it was dry and a bit dusty; but the view was nice and we had a good breeze. Our site was level, and a small tree provided a bit of shade. There's a nice distance between the park and the always-present railroad along US2, so our sleep wasn't interrupted too badly. There's a nice rec room with TV; a library; and the bathrooms are spotless. The only "fault" is that it's a bit of a hike to get to the bathroom entrance, from the RV parking area (we have a converted van without a restroom). Also - if I had a toddler who likes to run off: this park has a pretty steep dropoff on 3 sides. We camped at Riverview RV Park in a Motorhome.

At first I was disappointed when we pulled in. You definitely go through an industrial area, then the campground looks pretty old, and I couldn't see the river...but my opinion changed. We were in a great site, 28, with unobstructed views of a beautiful mountain across the river from us, and a pretty railroad bridge across the road. There were a lot of trains running, but during the day they went very slow and didn't blow any horns. At night I heard train horns quite a few times, but not too loud. I was already awake from the horrid wind when a cold front went through. I guess our good site left us exposed to the high winds. There are no OTA TV channels or cable available, but satellite came in good until the wind knocked it over in the night, but the campground has no control over that. The site was nearly level, and the 50 amp service and water were good. (The owner charged us an extra $5 because we checked in hours before his 3 pm check-in time because he said we would have our air conditioner "cranking", and he was right, we did). There is no shade near us and the sites are pretty close together, and no sewer, just a dump station, but the park is on a cliff overlooking a pretty river and nice views with beautiful large rocks. The grass had just been mowed and looked nice. Roads are gravel, dusty and very narrow, but manageable. There is a beautiful statue of Christ and a cross and an American flag on the property, which certainly added to the beauty. At first I thought that I would never care to return here, but last night had the most incredible sunset, and my/our opinion changed...it was beautiful. We camped at Riverview RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

The only reason I didn't rate this park 5 stars is there was no septic available at each site. New owner very nice and anxious to help, he put on a BBQ dinner for everyone in the park our first night. NO longer any cable TV. Very quiet and beautiful views! Cool during the days and about 50 at night. Refreshing! Dump station in park and for long staters, owners will pump your septic so you don't have to move. We camped at Riverview RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

The campground is located about 30 miles from Glacier National Park and is on a small cliff. The sites are gravel, are fairly close together and were not very level. We needed to use our leveling blocks as well as our auto-leveling jacks to get us level.

The restroom and showers were clean (but not up-to-date), and the laundry facility had 2 washers and 2 dryers. No quarters needed for the laundry as you just pay the owner for how many loads you do.

It should be noted that as of this review, the owner was selling this campground so things could change in the future. We camped at Riverview RV Park in a Motorhome.

The park was clean, the camp host were very nice and informative. We stayed 2 nights ; the sites were gravel and level. Had picnic table and grass. Beautiful sunsets and there are wild horses on the mountain above the river right by the park. There are trains near but they didn't bother us. We would stay here again if we were passing through. We camped at Riverview RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

We went to Glacier National Park and spent the whole day. There are a couple of restaurants; we only ate at Big Sky it was very good. They do have a McDonalds and a Albertsons grocery. It a small town, not much to do but we were only there to see the park.

Great park for an overnight or for a longer stay - great spot for fishermen. Level gravel pads, grass strips, easy access off highway. Ideal for stop on way to Canada, border just up the road. Very accommodating owner on site. Nice location right on the Cut Bank Creek/River. Bit of noise from trains but didn't bother me. Would definitely stay here again. This park features a wonderful view of the Cut Bank River canyon, with hoodoos (interesting rock formations) and a view of a former Lewis and Clark Expedition campsite. Park owner is very friendly and helpful. Cable TV worked well, with many channels available. Internet service was better than average (however, we used an external antenna for best connection). Sewer connections are not available at individual RV sites, although there is a dump station near the park entrance. The gravel sites with grassy areas for the picnic tables are fairly narrow and not particularly level. Most seemed to be pull-through sites with plenty of room for tow vehicles. The entrance of the park is located in an industrial-looking area where municipal maintenance equipment seems to be stored. We enjoyed exploring around the park and along the riverbank. We would happily visit this park again during its mid-April to mid-October season. We camped at Riverview RV Park in a Motorhome.

Nice small CG, staff was very friendly. Roads and sites are new gravel. Some grass between long pull through sites with 30A and water. Others had 50A. No sewer connections but a dump station by entrance/exit. Well maintained, looked new. Power was good, WiFi was good, rooftop dish worked (no trees) and Verizon cell & hotspot worked. In town and close to fuel & food. We camped at Riverview RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a small, family-owned park in a small town that has excellent repair shops (highly recommend Cut Bank Tire and also the Auto Body repair shop on the main street). The owners were super friendly and helpful to everyone so don't know what the previous reviewer's problem was. The $30 rate for 30 amp, GS discount was quite fair, with strong power, water and great tv cable.(more $$ for 50amp) Verizon cell and mifi worked fine. Nice showers and large restroom. Only 2 washers/dryers , for $4 load. Good place to stop before or after Glacier and much better than going to Shelby. We camped at Riverview RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is our second time here and can see improvements over last year. They have cleared a path down to the river (more like a large stream) and fishing is good. You do need a license. The showers and bathrooms are very clean. We will stay here again if in the area. Also, it is about 45 minutes to East Glacier Visitor center, which connects to the Road to the Sun and to Many Glaciers as well as Two Medicine Lake by shuttle. We camped at Riverview RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Did not like this place all. Rude management, dirty bathrooms that were hard to find (they are INSIDE the office somewhere). It is not really a campground per se, more of a place to park for the night. Won't stay here again! We camped at Riverview RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Well, the sites are not exactly river view as the river runs deep off the campground bluff, but the surrounding area is an interesting rock topography. Nothing fancy here - gravel sites with some grass in between. Rig washing is permitted for $10. Wi-Fi was excellent. No sewer at the site. The train and road noise is distant. No complaints, but the price is a tad high for the amenities. But you don't always have a lot of choices traveling on roads with long distances between towns. We camped at Riverview RV Park in a Motorhome.

A nice park, with the basics. Water, electric, cable, no sewer, but a dump station is available. WI-Fi worked well, and Verizon 4G service is good. Not many trees, but that is Central Montana. The owners are very personable, and want to do what is necessary to make your visit pleasant. We did not use the bathroom or shower facilities. We stayed 4 days to do some genealogy work, and will return to this park. We camped at Riverview RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Restrooms & Showers are clean. Showers are with tub. Sites are fairly level, ground surface is gravel with grass beside. The sites are hard enough to not use boards. Sites don't have sewer but the owner will pump if you are there for a week or more. There is a dump station. They have both long and short sites. Access is good but park roads are dirt and gravel. Internet is good. Park is quiet and sufficient lighting. The owners are nice and friendly. The park needs more maintenance but the owners are working on it. We went for a week and stayed 3+ months. Rate reflects monthly. There is a city pool just up the hill. Unfortunately the park entrance is through the city maintenance yards but because you are down hill, once you are parked you don't notice it. We camped at Riverview RV Park in a Motorhome.
