I called to reserve a 50 amp spot for my 40' RV with toad. They were able to give me the only site available for my size, that was not previously reserved. It was a gravel drive and an overflow site. I had water, sewer and 50 amp electric on a level site with cable tv. There was room enough for other rvs to drive around us with our slides out, so this was just fine with us as we don't put our awning out. The wifi worked until 5 pm and we were never able to stay on after that even at 12am or 9 am. I was thankful that were were able to get a site for the night as it later was completely full. We camped at Indian Creek Campground in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Rate reflects a monthly stay at 30amp. Power was steady, pedestals in good condition. Water pressure 85psi, we used a regulator. There is cable tv available at an extra charge, we didn't use it. Utilities located at rear of sites except in monthly area where you might have to run cords and hoses under back of RV. Wi-fi is very iffy, works ok for checking email, news, etc., but very slow. Often times it didn't work at all. "A work in progress" according to staff.

Staff here are very friendly, always working on grass and keeping park clean. This is a family run park, they are very knowledable about the local area and things to see and do. Even though the park is on the freeway, the noise is not that bad, probably due to the amount of trees. It is quiet at night. Downsides were the normal, long term renters don't follow rules, several dog pens with dogs unattended. One dog near us we never saw use a leash, dog just ran around where he wanted to whenever he was out. There were a couple of junky, derelict trailers with trash and debris around them. These were the exceptions but there are a couple of them. A few in the back row are too close. Once a large rig next to a small trailer had an awning out, it was less than 4 inches off the neighboring trailer. If you're just staying a night or a few nights to visit local sites, this is a good option for a park. We would definitely return for a few days, but would not stay a month again. We camped at Indian Creek Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Visit the Montana Prison complex, there are 2 ghost towns nearby, Garnet and Granite. Visit Philipsburg and drive the Hwy 1 loop from Anaconda to Drummond. In Butte, there is the World Museum of Mining and Berkley Pit Mine, both very good tours. Plenty to see and do in this area.

Booked site for 2 nights Sept 2017. Upon arrival they were putting me in an overflow lot on gravel curve of big Rig section. Wife asked for an alternate location, which was given, but woman in office was extremely rude. Quite a few seasonal RVs in here. They also try to charge $2 daily fee for Cable use even when you plan on using satellite. Their free WiFi was horrible. No picnic table. We camped at Indian Creek Campground in a Motorhome.

Some of the sites are pretty close together - our slide was right on top of our neighbor's picnic table (though they did have a lot of chairs, etc. set up in their space as well). Overall, a great campground. Inside roads are wide and easy to navigate. Bathrooms and laundry are centrally located. The only negative is the road noise from the interstate. It wasn't bad enough to keep me awake at night, but definitely noticeable during the day. Overall a great campground. Very easy to get to from the interstate. We camped at Indian Creek Campground in a Travel Trailer.

We always love visiting Grant-Kohrs Ranch. Grab a beer at Elk Ridge Brewing - they don't serve food, but the Timber Eatery next door will deliver to you.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. The park is very well maintained. On the rainy day that we visited, we were particularly impressed and grateful for the excellent cable TV quality. Everything else also worked well. We also appreciated the 10% discount coupons that they gave us for the local gas station, Subway shop and a restaurant. We would definitely return to this park. Very nice campground! The ladies checked us in very quickly and helped me plot out our next 2 legs of our trip since they know Montana roads and highways. Extremely helpful staff, one worked on the gravel roads in the rain to ensure they were level and smooth. Extremely fast Wi-Fi and strong signals. The pads are gravel and are level and smooth. I definitely will stay here again! We camped at Indian Creek Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Price reflects Good Sam discount and taxes. Easy in and out from I-90. A lot of road noise from the interstate and some dust from the truck stop if the wind is blowing. WiFi is available and we had a good signal but we couldn't connect. Don't know what the problem is. Fuel and food close to park. We camped at Indian Creek Campground in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

This is a great campground fairly close to I-90 here in Deer Lodge, MT. Road noise can be heard but it is not intrusive. Park has the best and cleanest bathrooms with showers we have encountered in our 20 months of full timing and over 40 campgrounds. All sites are pull thru and graveled. My site is long enough for my 40' Class A towing an 18' car hauler trailer still connected. Grassed patio with picnic table. Close hook ups to water, sewer and electric. Very friendly office staff. Cable TV and WiFi provided. WiFi not that great however. Stayed on AT&T data which is very good. Wide interior roadways, easy entry and exit from campsites and campground. I would certainly stay here again. Very reasonable daily rate of $34/night. We camped at Indian Creek Campground in a Motorhome.

Stayed 3 nights to visit the Old Montana Prison and catch up on laundry. Their laundry was clean and worked well. The campground area is wide open with easy in/easy out spacing with wide roads and decent turns. Fuel station on the road in front of campground. Very nice office folks. Tips for other Campers:

The Old Montana Prison is a worth while day trip - wander thru, read up on prison life and the 1959 riot. Lots to see! Be sure to visit the Prison store across the street where you can buy leather goods and braided horsehair tack made by the prisoners. Some very exceptional pieces.

This park is conveniently located half way between Yellowstone and Glacier. Access was reasonable, although you have to look to find the entrance. Roadways were gavel and plenty wide. Pull through spaces were long enough and level. BUT: power was bad. On 50Amps, our EMS kept resetting because of low voltage on one leg. By turning off AC we were able to stay the two nights we had booked. But we would not stayb here again. We camped at Indian Creek Campground in a Motorhome.

This is a very convenient park right off I-90. Large spacious lots with gravel pads and a sturdy picnic table! We did not have to unhook the toad. The WiFi is useless, but we had great cell service, so created a hotspot. The staff was friendly and efficient. You do get coupons for Subway, 4B's restaurant and 76 gasoline. Not a lot of shade! Only drawback is the neighbor 4 lots down with a larger than life Confederate flag. Very uncomfortable. We camped at Indian Creek Campground in a Motorhome.

Stayed one night using our Coast to Coast. $10 was for cable and resort fee. Easy pull through so we didn't have to unhook the tow. Had all the necessary hookups. It is located behind a truck stop and they give you coupons for gas and Subway. Nice and clean for the most part. Was a little sketchy with a Confederate flag on one RV. Would stay again if only for one night. We camped at Indian Creek Campground in a Motorhome.

This park is easy on and off I-90. We had a large pull thru with grass between sites that was very lush. All hook ups worked great and were located where they were very accessible. The pads were gravel and level, roads in park were gravel but very wide. Showers and restrooms were very clean (didn't use but looked in). The office staff were nice and helpful about things in town plus they give you coupons to use at truck stop, Subway and a restaurant within walking distance. They do charge $4 for cable but satellite works as you are there are no large trees. We camped at Indian Creek Campground in a Motorhome.

Kinda a strange location. It's right behind a truck stop which may sound bad but it was a surprisingly nice little campground. Super easy off the highway. All gravel and sites close together like most private rv parks. It was a very clean park including the laundry rooms and bathrooms. Good location to Deer Lodge for necessities (5 min drive). Friendly, cozy vibe. Great connectivity without boosters. Both Verizon and ATT were 20+d/l and stable. T mobile was a little slow but fast enough to stream. Strong cable tv at the site. Solid 50amp electric and full hookups. Butte and Anaconda are both nice little towns to visit with plenty of shops, restaurants etc. There's great hiking at Big Butte Open Space recreation area and Washoe park in Anaconda was gorgeous. Only negative is it's proximity to the highway although the road noise was not bad. We camped at Indian Creek Campground in a Motorhome.
