This is a quite small and cramped RV park. Most of the sites were taken up by semi-permanent residents. The harvest was on and there were a lot of custom cutters in the park. The grass was dead and the park had only dirt roads with very little gravel. The site we had was very narrow and a little hard to get into, however the owner took us out and helped us park. The utilities work okay except for the Wi-Fi, it hardly worked at all. The owner was friendly and easy to get along with. We camped at Benton RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

The lady in the office at Benton RV Park was very nice and helpful. We had a pull through, but the wood strips outlining the spot are not wide enough apart. The RV park is surrounded by dirt roads, so it got dusty when the wind blew or cars went by. They need to take care of the weeds and downed tree limbs in the park, by having a maintenance person. Not much pride in making the appearance better. The water in Fort Benton is horrible! It has an oily substance. We washed our truck at the only car wash, and it looked worse than before we washed it! Don't drink the water! The bathrooms and showers are dated, and not real clean. The laundry is in the office, so you can't access it when the office is closed. The flour mill next to the RV park runs from 7 a.m. to about 5 p.m., with a constant noise. It is quiet at night. There was no cable, and we couldn't get any channels with over-the-air TV, so bring reading material. The picnic table wasn't clean, and had bird crap all over it. There were ants, so we did have to spray around our rig, so the ants would not enter our 5th wheel. We have no need to return to this area in the future, since we visited everything in town. We camped at Benton RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

We paid $12 each by showing our National Parks Senior Pass at the Upper Missouri Interpretive Center, and this allowed us to visit all museums in Fort Benton, which was very nice! There is a very nice walking/biking trail by the Missouri River in town. There are two other RV parks in town, if this park is full.

Very historical town, lots to see and do. Hosts very helpful. Stayed one week in a 37 ft motor home. Good wifi. No cable or over the air tv, but our satellite worked. Would stay here again. We camped at Benton RV Park in a Motorhome.

The new owners are very friendly and working hard to make improvements. Agree that the site layout is a little quirky, but workable. We had a very nice pull through site with grass although many sites are only gravel. I think she gave us a nice site because we made a reservation rather than drive up and for 3 nights. Level sites and good WiFi. We camped at Benton RV Park in a Motorhome.

Not sure where the pictures on the website were taken because they look nothing like the place we stayed. There were some grassy sites which were empty while we were crowded into this tight gravel area with barely any space between campers. Not sure what that was all about. The bathrooms, well only one was available, were dirty. Very dirty. Could be the other people at the campground but it looked as if it hadn't been cleaned in some time. The rest of the place looked like it needed some work. We didn't have a table. Would not recommend this campground. We camped at Benton RV Park in a Motorhome.

Oddly set up campground, rigs every which way, some on gravel, some on grass. Being on the grass with a pull thru is the prettiest. There are two toilets/showers for the entire park. They are new but get heavily used. I would advise calling ahead of time to clarify how long you can stay on Passport America; the owners are new and it is confusing. Nice people, some long term renters who seem to have families and are working in the area. The town has a lot of historical information, visitor centers to recommend it and a nice walking path along the river. We camped at Benton RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Historical town with museums, walking path with historical facts. A very worthwhile place to visit. Great Falls is 36 miles a way and has all stores.

This is a good spot to explore the history of Fort Benton as well as a 35 mile drive to Great Falls. Nice quiet country atmosphere rather than the bigger city. Good price. Cons are the washrooms are few and small (but clean) and not a lot of space in the back-in sites. Ask for a pull-through, much better. Owners on site, friendly, help spot the rig, provide local advice. Wi-Fi worked well, site was level. Would stay here again. We camped at Benton RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Explore the Fort Benton museum and various interpretative centres. My favorite was a walk along the banks of the Missouri River at the Interpretative Centre - town's done a great job with easy to read information on its history.

Nice, quiet campground not far from Great Falls. The staff is really friendly and go out of their way to help. Site size was ample. We had a grass pad with plenty of room for our dog to have some time outside. Some sites are rock. All sites are level. Apparently, they only use the grass pads when the rock pads are full. We were told they usually only fill up in August when harvest is on. We will stay here again. We camped in a 5th wheel. Rate reflects our PA discount We camped at Benton RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Hosts were very nice and helpful with information and directions. Wi-Fi and Verizon cell worked great. Laundry room was clean and convenient. Price reflects Passport America discount. Sites a little close together, but other than that, it was a fine place to stay. Would definitely stay here again. We camped at Benton RV Park in a Motorhome.

We really liked this place because it suited our needs. People were super nice, and we lucked out and got the best site. I will say that a lot of the sites are pretty close to each other, side by side. Ours was across with a big piece of grass and a shade tree & table. Level and no noise. Town is small, but with a lot of history and one of the best museums we've seen. The Union Hotel serves a great upscale meal, while the Freeze offers inexpensive burgers and ice cream. Only 20 min to Great Falls without all their noise and traffic. We would stay here again. Price reflex RPI & Passport America rate. We camped at Benton RV Park in a Motorhome.

Benton RV Park is a good campground to visit Fort Benton. This campground has a mixture of back-ins and pull-thrus. Most of the pull-thrus can accommodate large rigs including the tow. The water and electrical box is at the back of the site. The sewer is on the middle side of the site. The electrical box contains 20/30/50 amp service. The voltage was good. Most of the sites were fairly level. Wi-Fi was available but we did not use it. Verizon cell phone and air card worked well. The interior roads and sites were on packed gravel. It rained for several days but the roads were not too muddy. There were two bathrooms with showers. Surprisingly, there were no locks on these doors. There were also two washers ($1.00) and two dryers ($0.25 for ten minutes). The bottom dryer was not very hot. It was very quiet at night (except for the Montana winds). The price per night was at a PA rate. We would come back to this park if we were in the area. We camped at Benton RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Good, reasonably priced, overnight stop if you are in this section of Montana. The owners are very helpful. I give the owners a 12 out of 10! When they saw that I was alone and on crutches (due to a foot injury) they rushed out and hooked up all my connections and placed my jack pads under the RV for me. Not to mention they gave me a pull-through. Also, my site was 50 amp, but they already had the dogbone 30/50 connector on the site for my 30 amp. The sites are on gravel with a wide grass section separating the sites. Adequate spacing. The one thing I didn't like was the wood frame around the grass sections. The gravel was just wide enough for the RV, then there is the frame around the grass. This wood frame on the grass could be a trip hazard coming out of one's RV. But I'm sure the wood frame was to help keep grass out of the gravel area, as the gravel spots looked nice. I arrived in late afternoon, and had trouble with the Wi-Fi at that time. It was limited. But once it was evening, Wi-Fi worked great. Verizon cell modem, as well as cell phone got good, strong signal. I got no TV reception over batwing (despite a web source I use that claimed I would get a few channels). Good time to catch up on reading or anything else. Didn't get to check bathrooms. Price I am showing includes taxes. If you are in this area, stop here just to experience some great helpful owners. We camped at Benton RV Park in a Motorhome.

We wished we could have stayed longer than 1 night. The owner set up a nice shady spot with benches, gas grill, fire pit (benches need to be refinished and cleaned of bird droppings from the many bird houses in the trees). Two toilet/shower combos with plenty of water pressure and recently done. Owner came to our rescue with salad dressing which we forgot to bring! Would stop by again (for longer to check out the town). We camped at Benton RV Park in a Motorhome.
