Right outside of Yellowstone and thus can charge whatever! Cleanest Laundromat wife has EVER seen. immaculate!! Very nice folks and place. 30 amp site the first night and 50 the second but was charged the same for both.

The appearance, quality, and condition of the park and its sites, facilities, and amenities were excellent. The roads were easy to navigate even though the area is quite hilly. The sites were grass rimmed and attractive. The hookups were conveniently placed and easy for this old man to use Our RV is 35 feet and there was ample room to back in and if I was 10 feet longer it would still have been easy. We camped at Rocky Mountain RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Yellowstone Park!

The street address is tricky because you access the street it appears that you are on the wrong street. The street you turn into is a y right where you turn in and you must bear right immediately proceeding up the hill. At the top of the hill you go straight into their drive rather than bearing left with the street.

We stayed here for 7 nights in August. The sites and access roads are gravel. There is a pretty steep incline and sharp right turn to get into the park and there is a fairly sharp incline once you are in the park. Both of these situations were still manageable for our 43 foot fifth wheel, however. The problem was with our "deluxe pull-thru" site. It was a very tight fit to get into the site and it took some maneuvering to get able to get out of the site. If you have a really big rig, this park is iffy. For the most part, the staff are very friendly and helpful (with one exception). The water, sewer, and electric connections are good and dependable. The WiFi is fair. This park does something that drives me crazy--they charge extra for children. In a family-oriented park next to Yellowstone National Park, this is ridiculous. The best thing about this RV park is that it is 5 minutes from the north gate of Yellowstone, which is where you will have to cart your recyclable materials because there is no recycling at the RV park or in Gardiner. We camped at Rocky Mountain RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Very clean up to date restrooms and laundry facility-just get laundry done before machines jump up in price at 8 pm. No fires allowed but have group fire for about an hour every night. Camp ground build on top of hill with a turn at top, could get tight for larger units. All site packed in but we were not there to hang out We where seeing sites the whole stay. All in all we would stay here again if in the area. We camped at Rocky Mountain RV Park in a Tent Trailer.

Camp host was great! Entrance to park was horrible. Up a hill street to sharp right turn into overcrowded first tier on mountain camp sites. Traffic backed up all the way down the mountain while each driver received slow check in from office staff. Motorhomes should not be put in slots on First tier. Not enough room for RV with a tow vehicle. We were on top tier and our spot was nice and easy in and out plus we had shade. WiFi was sketchy. We camped at Rocky Mountain RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This campground was a nice park to stay at while in the area. Clean. Nice gift shop. Sites are small. Other reviews talked about a long list of rules, which is true. For ex, they raise the laundry rate if you use it between 8 and 9 pm to 9.00. It's real simple if you don't like this rule - complete your laundry before 8pm, which I did. I am not sure if they enforce the laundry surcharge rule. This park is very close to a entrance to Yellowstone. If you are driving to the park from Livingston, the scenery is beautiful. My only complaint is the dog limit. The park has a limit of 2 dogs. I have 3 small pugs. I asked if I could bring them, even if I had to pay a surcharge and was told no. I left my dogs at home, only to find other campers who asked and received permission for 3 dogs. I would only stay here again if they allow me to take my 3 dogs like they allowed others to do. If that doesn't apply to any other potential campers, then this is a great place to stay. We camped at Rocky Mountain RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

We stayed at Rocky Mountain RV park for 5 days over the 4th of July holiday. The campground sits high above the town and offers a spectacular view of the surrounding mountains and valley. It is perfectly located about 1/4 mile from the north entrance to Yellowstone but it is still a quiet park. Gardiner is a small town but offers everything you would need to enjoy a visit to Yellowstone. The campground staff is very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Our campsite was a FHU back in with grass and plenty of room to enjoy cooking out under the awning. The restrooms, showers and laundry area are very clean, modern and well maintained. The cable and WiFi worked very well. A real bonus for us was the spectacular 4th of July fireworks display we watched from our campsite. I would highly recommend this campground to anyone visiting Yellowstone NP or the Bear Tooth scenic Byway. We camped at Rocky Mountain RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

If you come to Yellowstone NP to enjoy beautiful scenery and wildlife, be sure to include a drive up the 65 mile long "Bear Tooth Scenic Byway" ( All American Road) from Cook City to Red Lodge Montana. It offers some of the most spectacular scenic views in the country. The snow capped peaks reach over 12,000ft high. The wildlife is easy to spot from the many pull offs.

Overpriced due to proximity to Yellowstone Park. Sites cramped together. Had about 4 feet of grass between sites. On a positive note, there was a beautiful view of the northern edge of Yellowstone. We camped at Rocky Mountain RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Close to North entrance of Yellowstone Park. We got a "large" pizza in town, similar to a Pizza Hut medium in size. Less toppings than a Pizza Hut personal size. $15.

Beautiful park with excellent staff! Rate reflects weekly rate in off-season. Our site was on upper level and overlooks Gardiner. Water pressure a little low. Electric went off nearly everyday. We have a surge protector and believe it was the power drops which shuts us down. Just make sure you have one. We had the owner check their site and it was OK when he checked it. There is a lot of construction going on in town which could be the problem. We camped at Rocky Mountain RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

There is a lot of construction going on in Gardiner. You can't go through the historic gate right now. There is also a lot of road construction in Yellowstone. If you go to the west side of the upper loop after Mammoth Springs you will most likely have a 30 minute delay for pilot cars. The east side is a little longer but no construction. Also, the bridge south of Old Faithful is out but supposed to be back in operation sometime in June.

We did not have the best view of the mountains (from our site) but beautiful all around. Sites are gravel but our site was level. The WiFi was the best we have had especially with many campers packed into every space available. The campground was full each night. Cable was okay and had major channels. We would stay here again simply for the location. Staff very friendly and professional. We camped at Rocky Mountain RV Park in a Truck Camper.

Tips for other Campers:

At North Entrance to Yellowstone National Park. We saw lots of Bison and Elk but only one bear this time.

We stayed for 2 weeks in May. This is our second trip to this park, and it is the best place to stay for access to northern Yellowstone national park. Gardiner is undergoing major renovations to celebrate the 100th year of Yellowstone, and so the roads into and out of the area are under construction. The park management does everything it can to be helpful and knowledgable about the area. The site we had, #24, was large enough to fit out 45' motorhome and toad. Yellowstone is only minutes away. We would definitely stay hear again when visiting Yellowstone. We camped at Rocky Mountain RV Park in a Motorhome.

On a bench looking down on Gardiner and across the river to the north (Gardiner) entrance to Yellowstone National Park. Note that “downtown” Gardiner also has an excellent little grocery store with bakery(!). Elk wandered through our campground. The restrooms are spectacular, look brand new looking, super clean, three each toilet stall, sink, shower in the mens. Some may think I obsess about restrooms; I have two reasons. First, since our pop-up has no facilities, we depend on them. Second, restrooms are a pretty good indicator of the overall campground management…if they take pride in the restrooms; you can bet they treat the whole park the same way. All of the utilities worked fine (we were too busy playing in the National Park to try the WiFi). We stayed five nights in an Aliner popup, and would definitely stay again if in the Gardiner area. We paid $42 per night full hookups (except cable) with a Good Sam card (slightly pricey, but you are staying at the entrance to a National Park). We absolutely will stay here again. We camped at Rocky Mountain RV Park in a Tent Trailer.

This park is clean and well located. However, that's about all the good I can say. The management is lacking hospitality. They drill you with questions and then tell you ALL the things you can't do. You need to park your car a certain way in the space; how are you going to contain your dogs; laundry needs to be complete by 9pm or the rates triple, etc etc. If you don't clean up after your dog you will be told to leave the park with no refund. It's crazy and makes you a bit paranoid. They are not friendly, there was no "How are you" or "Welcome, enjoy your stay", etc. It was just not a comfortable place to stay. One night was it! We camped at Rocky Mountain RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

The first thing that comes to mind is the bathroom and shower house was worth the high price of admission - they were excellent. The sites are very tight together which reflected the rating given. Otherwise the location to Yellowstone Park and the town of Gardiner was convenient. Wifi and utilities worked fine. We camped at Rocky Mountain RV Park in a Truck Camper.

This park is located at the north entrance to Yellowstone in the town of Gardiner, it is within walking distance to restaurants, stores and activities. The park is very clean, with especially nice restrooms and showers. The streets are wide making it easy to unhook your motor home and tow vehicle. They also have a miniature golf course included in the cost of your stay. Very quiet at night and during the day. Great views of Yellowstone, Yellowstone river and the mountains. We camped at Rocky Mountain RV Park in a Motorhome.

This RV park overlooks the mountains with great views. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Good gift shop. The sites are level, and large enough for all rigs. Very close to town and the northern entrance into Yellowstone National Park. We camped at Rocky Mountain RV Park in a Motorhome.
