The roads and sites are fresh gravel. Our back-in site was level and not too close to the neighboring site. Staff was friendly and helpful. This park is right at the entrance to the park. Gardiner is a nice little town with several restaurants to choose from. We camped at Rocky Mountain RV Park in a Motorhome.

Roads and site pads are gravel, but all sites have grass, and most have trees. Views of the mountains all around. A fenced dog walk area. A well stocked store, with Yellowstone clothing and souvenirs. Good cable and WiFi. We camped at Rocky Mountain RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This is in a great location for visiting Gardiner and it's right at the north entrance to Yellowstone. But the sites are really close together, and they charge a "kid tax". Kid tax is what we fulltime RV'ing families call it when an RV park charges extra for kids. Hotels do not charge extra for our kids to be in the room with us so it makes no sense for RV parks to charge extra for our kids to be in our RV. Plus my parents joined us for part of the week and it was extra for them to stay in our RV also. That made this park very expensive and considering how close we were to our neighbor, we just didn't think it was worth $70 a night. But, the location was where we wanted to be so it worked out. If we're in the area again though, we would probably look for some place else that doesn't charge extra for kids. Verizon 4G coverage was good here. We camped at Rocky Mountain RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Friendly staff and well maintained park. Had a back in site with full hookup and 50 amp service and had plenty of room to get into site. WIFI was very good and had no problems with hooking up to all services. This park is right at the border of Yellowstone and is a very busy park but it is well monitored and not any distractions. We camped at Rocky Mountain RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Friendly and efficient staff. One of the nicest and cleanest laundromats I have seen. Easy access to Yellowstone. Sites were a little close with just enough length for rig and truck. Very good wifi and cable. Easy satellite setup. Rather pricey but you are paying for location. We would stay here again. We camped at Rocky Mountain RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

This was our second time staying here. Everyone is very nice and helpful. Someone leads you to your site. The sites are very close together but since we were traveling with another couple, that made our gathering easy. Hill to get up to site from office, but not a problem. Mostly gravel, but level sites. Again, the spacing is quite close. Super convenient for walking around in Gardiner and driving into the North entrance of Yellowstone NP. We would definitely stay here again. It is pricey but all campgrounds around Yellowstone are very pricey if you want full hookups, or even partial. We camped at Rocky Mountain RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Nice meal at Cowboy Grille. Easy to walk to places in town, but steep hill to walk up to campground. Gate closes at 8 p.m, but no issues to gain entrance. Well organized office and friendly people. I highly recommend this campground for visiting Yellowstone and the north areas in the park. We will definitely stay here when we come again. We stayed 3 nights and would stay longer.

I cannot fault this park in any way, other than the pricing. At the historic northern entry to Yellowstone NP, hands down, it is the place to stay. The owners/managers are the most gracious group of people I have ever encountered in an RV park; obviously very proud of their park and very aggressive in maintaining the park in superior fashion. The lower level is very congested, with sites close together, no cable, but the views of the town and the mountains are magnificent. After one night, we chose to move to an upper level, more spacious premium site with cable, where the views are just as magnificent. Downside: you pay an $8.00 premium during season. The owner/manager was very accommodating in allowing us to move because the park was full each evening. The owner owns a beautiful lodge with a 3 car garage on premises. You can tell they love the place, too. We camped at Rocky Mountain RV Park in a Motorhome.

Up on a hill overlooking the town. The restrooms were outstanding. However, they were located down the hill from the main RV area. You almost had to drive because of the distance/hill, but parking was limited at that area. Spaces were a little close, but that was OK because we met a great couple from Washington that we enjoyed getting to know. Good dog park. Easy navigation through the park. Had a hard snow the morning we were leaving. We camped at Rocky Mountain RV Park in a Motorhome.

Several good choices for dining out, but because of the town's seclusion they are all a little pricy. Would definitely stay here again.

Very nice park, clean. Uphill from town but walkable. 5 miles to Mammoth Hot Springs. You are met when you pull in, and escorted to your space. Very nice lawn pet area. Some dog owners don't believe in cleaning up after their pets, which makes it bad for the rest. The park closes the gates at 8pm and we had to let ourselves back in after a day in the park. We camped at Rocky Mountain RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is an excellent RV park just 5 minutes away from the north entrance to Yellowstone. It's well managed with owners who really care about their park. It's a clean, pretty facility that's nicely landscaped with flowers, trees and grassy areas. [The elk liked it, too; they were often sitting in the grass.] Great views from the upper area looking down onto the town. Bathrooms and laundry room (be done by 8pm) are modern and were always clean. Good WiFi. While a little incline to get to the upper area, our 30' Class A had no trouble at all. We would definitely come back! We camped at Rocky Mountain RV Park in a Motorhome.

We loved Iron Horse Bar & Grill - outdoor seating right on the river with excellent barbeque/pulled pork & local beer. Yellowstone Pizza was also very good; homemade crust pizzas baked in a brick oven.

Other than the person that attempted to direct me while I was backing up my rig, this place was excellent. (Obviously he had little idea how a 5th wheel backs up and swings).

It is up a hill in Gardiner and about 6 miles from Yellowstone and very conveniently placed. The site was clean and level and very well maintained and there is nothing bad to say about this place other than the internet was very slow. Cell reception was good and the staff were very helpful. We camped at Rocky Mountain RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Right outside of Yellowstone and thus can charge whatever! Cleanest Laundromat wife has EVER seen. immaculate!! Very nice folks and place. 30 amp site the first night and 50 the second but was charged the same for both.

The appearance, quality, and condition of the park and its sites, facilities, and amenities were excellent. The roads were easy to navigate even though the area is quite hilly. The sites were grass rimmed and attractive. The hookups were conveniently placed and easy for this old man to use Our RV is 35 feet and there was ample room to back in and if I was 10 feet longer it would still have been easy. We camped at Rocky Mountain RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Yellowstone Park!

The street address is tricky because you access the street it appears that you are on the wrong street. The street you turn into is a y right where you turn in and you must bear right immediately proceeding up the hill. At the top of the hill you go straight into their drive rather than bearing left with the street.

We stayed here for 7 nights in August. The sites and access roads are gravel. There is a pretty steep incline and sharp right turn to get into the park and there is a fairly sharp incline once you are in the park. Both of these situations were still manageable for our 43 foot fifth wheel, however. The problem was with our "deluxe pull-thru" site. It was a very tight fit to get into the site and it took some maneuvering to get able to get out of the site. If you have a really big rig, this park is iffy. For the most part, the staff are very friendly and helpful (with one exception). The water, sewer, and electric connections are good and dependable. The WiFi is fair. This park does something that drives me crazy--they charge extra for children. In a family-oriented park next to Yellowstone National Park, this is ridiculous. The best thing about this RV park is that it is 5 minutes from the north gate of Yellowstone, which is where you will have to cart your recyclable materials because there is no recycling at the RV park or in Gardiner. We camped at Rocky Mountain RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Very clean up to date restrooms and laundry facility-just get laundry done before machines jump up in price at 8 pm. No fires allowed but have group fire for about an hour every night. Camp ground build on top of hill with a turn at top, could get tight for larger units. All site packed in but we were not there to hang out We where seeing sites the whole stay. All in all we would stay here again if in the area. We camped at Rocky Mountain RV Park in a Tent Trailer.

Stayed 10 days here and found the camp ground excellent. Plenty of room and very nice sites. Only negative is the dust from the road and windy conditions. About a mile from the entrance to Yellowstone. Had to fly home for a funeral, and the staff was very helpful to us about airports, watching our unit, and taking care of it while we were away. Would stay here again when in the area. We camped at Rocky Mountain RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
