The park is convenient to town and the National Park. Desk personnel were friendly and helpful, the laundry was good, and the internet worked some of the time. Excellent grass on the sites , but the gravel portions were covered with weeds the cement patio had not been cleaned in some time. We expect better from a premium priced park. We camped at Yellowstone RV Park in a Motorhome.

Yellowstone RV Park, manager at Yellowstone RV Park responded to this review

I am a little confused, We do not have cement patios, and we only have grass in our tent areas, due to the arid climate in the area. We are also not priced at $81. Our rates are $59 and $64. So I am not sure you stayed here with us. Thank you for taking the time to right a review, I am sure the RV Park you stayed at would love to hear your comments.

Nice stay to visit the north side of Yellowstone. We were on the river and it was beautiful. We spent hours just looking over the railing at the water. Remember to show your discount on arrival because they don't input discounts when making phone reservations. Tax is also charged at check-in but not given in the initial reservation price. Sites were well spaced in my opinion. There are "limited" 50 amp sites but the website doesn't specify how many. We were fine with 30 amps. We'd definitely stay here again if in the area. We camped at Yellowstone RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Gardiner roads are tight compared to West Yellowstone, but easy enough to navigate. There's a new bypass to avoid the Roosevelt Arch when entering/exiting the park. It's not on Google Maps yet but is easier than the tight turn at the arch. We loved K-Bar pizza and Yellowstone Perk ice cream/coffee shop/pharmacy.

We have stayed here before and love it. If you call early enough you can back up to the river and watch the osprey fish during the day. The river is the boundary of Yellowstone National Park so you can also see wildlife (usually deer or elk) out your back window. The sites are moderately spaced (not real roomy nor not too tight), and they do a good job of trees and maintaining the property. We will definitely stay here again. We camped at Yellowstone RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

We made our visit to Yellowstone with short notice and found that all the RV parks in West Yellowstone were booked. We were able to book a week at Yellowstone RV Park which fit into our schedule. While West Yellowstone may be a better location to visit the park from, this park proved to meet our needs for our visit. The hosts were terrific, very helpful and friendly. Our site was situated at the north end of the park, an easy back-in with river views out the back window. Earlier comments about avoiding the park if you can't get on the river are somewhat prejudicial. The park provides a place to stay while visiting the national park. Sites are close, it's as if you are parked in an RV dealers lot. Don't worry about getting your awning out, the wind comes swiftly down the valley. The utilities are well placed and functioned as expected. While many of the residents are workers at the national park, we found them to be friendly and helpful. And, besides, we don't find much interaction among RV park transient residents anyway. We enjoyed our stay at Yellowstone RV park and would return if in the area again. We camped at Yellowstone RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Recommend getting a river site. Sites are tight, that said, I had no difficulty in backing my 37 foot motor home into a river site. WiFi was acceptable. Cell phone connectivity was good as was satellite reception.
ATV was excellent. Staff were very helpful. The value in this CG is it is located 1 mile from Yelllowstone entrance. We camped at Yellowstone RV Park in a Motorhome.

Price reflects payroll deducted Yellowstone seasonal employee. Very clean, very well managed park. Riverfront site is a must; we watched elk, antelope, and deer from our site (elk and deer even entered park many times during our stay). Great improvement would be if management watered grass between sites (bathhouse and manager's sites are lush and green). It would boost the beauty of the setting and reduce the dust. Walking distance to town, 2 miles to Yellowstone north entrance. We will be returning next season. We camped at Yellowstone RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

If you can't get a riverfront don't bother, that's the only thing about this park that can make it worth. It's overpriced to what they offer, which is full hookups, bathroom/showers and laundry. That's it!!!

Most of the people that occupy the river front sides are either workers at Yellowstone or seasonal people.

The sites are very close together with a picnic table for each and supposedly a grass in between but they don't take care of THAT grass, it's really bad, when it rains expect flooding.

The entire park is dirt-gravel.

It's about a mile from the north entrance, which is under construction for a long time therefor the road is very rough.

The town Gardiner has nothing to offer. If you come for a night that's probably ok.

We will not come back here again. We camped at Yellowstone RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a nice park and very close to the north entrance of Yellowstone. We stayed in May before the rest of the park was open so this was convenient to visit Yellowstone. We stayed at one of the deluxe spots which is really just a regular spot in any other park. Spots were OK size, bathrooms were very nice and clean. Driveway was a little steep, but not really a problem getting in or out. We would come back here again. We camped at Yellowstone RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This park is located down a rather tricky looking hill along the banks of the Yellowstone River. We did not have any trouble getting our 40 foot RV down the hill and into our space. The park seems to be well managed (in fact we were notified by phone when our mail arrived before we did). We were assigned a level, gravel, pull-through space with full hookups and a picnic table. We did have to park our towed vehicle sideways to fit it in the space. This park does not recycle. Verizon service was OK in the area. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Yellowstone RV Park in a Motorhome.

The park hosts were awesome. They advertise 12 channels of TV we got 5 and so grainy/fuzzy we couldn't watch it.The host did everything to try to fix it, but nothing we did worked. Sites are narrow and dusty gravel tight turns for a big rig. Down a big hill. Verizon didn't work had to go up the hill. We paid 47.50 with AAA discount. Seemed like too much for what you get. The Wi-Fi worked ok. but lost the signal a few times. Might come back if same hosts. We camped at Yellowstone RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is our favorite place to stay in Yellowstone. We're photographers and are in mostly the Northern Tier, so this is a great location for us. The sites are level, gravel, a few trees, with some sites on the Yellowstone River for a great view (and sound) of the river. If you're interested in a river view, call early (they start accepting reservations April 1), because employees from Yellowstone (Xanerra employees) stay here and the park fills up quickly, but it's worth it to make this effort. It's big rig friendly, pet friendly, clean bathrooms and laundry, and the caretakers make a good effort at keeping the property in good shape. The only problem I have is that the Wi-Fi is iffy at best. It's best during the day when no one is there, but since we were out mostly during the day, this made it hard to upload pictures. For a full-service park, this is your best bet in the northern part of Yellowstone. We camped at Yellowstone RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

The river view is only available from the highway but not from your rig. Not a big plus for the price you are paying. There are small patches of grass between sites but no shade until late evening when the rig next to you provides the shade. Manager was extremely friendly and checked on us a couple times during our 3 night stay. We were in site 1 which was long enough but somewhat unlevel. We were unable to make the loop to get into the site and had to end up backing into the site. Be prepared for high water pressure, have a regulator. Wi-Fi was excellent and better than our own hotspot. Seems to be a lot of permanent residents but enough sites for short term stay. The views from road are great, close to Mammoth, Gardiner and Jardine and North loop of Yellowstone. We gave it a 9 only because price seems high for what you get. We camped at Yellowstone RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Nice spot on the river, close to town and the north entrance to Yellowstone NP. Picnic/tent area with nice grass on the river for use even if you have a back row site. Friendly managers were very helpful. A number of these sites are leased to seasonal park workers so a call for reservations is a good idea since not all sites are available each night. Very neat, clean park. There are a number of 50 amp sites, but be prepared for 30 amp, more of those it seems. We camped at Yellowstone RV Park in a Motorhome.
