The web pictures don't do this justice. The sites are terraced with most having a nice grassy area and trees. You have amazing views of the surrounding rolling hillsides. There are trains that come thru often. But the noise isn't too horrible. Friendly staff, and as noted, complimentary ice cream on arrival. That was really appreciated on the 90 degree day when we checked in. Only a few minutes from the Battlefield and Custer Museum. Nothing else in the area. Closest small town is Hardin. We camped at 7th Ranch RV Camp in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The campground also provides stationary grills at each site. We had a large grassy corner area that our dog loved. Check out the Custer Battle Museum. It looks like a tourist trap souvenir shop, but has lots of interesting artifacts.

The Little Bighorn National Battlefield is also amazing. And have lunch at the Custer Trading Post right outside the park. Try the Crow Indian tacos.

Beautiful site, beautiful view! Big Sky country at its best!
Park and sites are well maintained, WiFi throughout the camp. Long, wide gravel sites with green grass next to them. No cable - we use satellite, so that is not a factor. The LIttle Bighorn Battlefield is nearby - this is the closest RV park to the Battlefield, and the park owners themselves, descendants of pioneers, are very knowledgeable of the are.
OUTSTANDING! We camped at 7th Ranch RV Camp in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Visit the LIttle Bighorn Battlefield, see the museum in Hardin, visit Crow Agency. We were here during the Crow Nation Fair - quite a gathering!

This was a very nice campground in the middle of, what seemed like, nowhere. The sites are long and located on a hillside but there is adequate space between the sites due to the layout. Our site needed a little bit of leveling. The utilities were well placed and adequate. The laundry room only had two washers and dryers but was not very busy. The views were terrific especially from the hilltop that can be accessed from a small trail. The check in process was friendly and quick. We even got a goodbye wave as we were leaving. Very nice people. We would stay here again. We camped at 7th Ranch RV Camp in a Fifth Wheel.

Pros; Perfect if you are going to Little Bighorn Battefield, large sites, easy to find, water, electric and sewer worked fine, nice pull thru sites, check in and reservations went smoothly, (although they don't send out any type of email confirmations), check-in staff was friendly

Cons: It is remote, but it was perfect for us to go to the Battlefield, also, wish they had a pool and or hot tub.

Would stay here again.

We camped in a 36 fifth wheel. We camped at 7th Ranch RV Camp in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Very close to the Little Bighorn Battlefield.

We enjoyed our stay here. Campground is on a hill but on our site we were able to level easily. Everything is well maintained and kept looking good. Utilities worked well, wifi a bit slow at times but that could have been from other campers as in early morning it worked well. Owners are great, met all our needs and even gave us free ice cream upon arrival. Campground is about 1/2 mile from the interestate and a railroad track but it was not noticeable and the campground was quite at night. We camped at 7th Ranch RV Camp in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Little Bighorn Battlefield N.M. is 3 miles away. Nearest town is about 15 miles away and we did not visit.

Perfect in every way! Quiet and beautiful RV park, closest to Little Big Horn area sights. Helpful work-campers checked-in our 3 rigs easy, escorted us to our sites. Long and level gravel sites, many with shade. Spotless ADA compliant and spacious restrooms (remember your access code) and laundry. Plenty of kids play areas and dog walking trails. Due to remote location and hilly landscape, Wi-Fi is understandably iffy, so bring your own hotspot if connection essential. Verizon 3G only 2 bars max. Will definitely stay again and recommend to others. We camped at 7th Ranch RV Camp in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

If in Billings MT, use I90 Motors for RV repairs. They saved our vacation; 4 others wouldn't look at our TT until 2 mon later. I90 Motors is ONLY shop that does emergency service. Got parts overnight shipped, reasonable fee. Small but competent family-run biz treats stranded RVers like family! Quality Inn Homestead Park: comfy rooms, made-to-order breakfast, huge dog walk area behind. Allow 4-6 hrs min at Custer Battlefield Museum/Garryowen & Little Bighorn Battlefield Nat'l Monument.

Cannot say enough nice things about this park and the people that run it. Offer a free ice cream bar on check in, escort you to your site and are readily available with local information. Office person comes out and waves good bye to all that are leaving. We had an issue with our trailer brakes and the gentleman that owned the park spent 2 hours trying to resolve the issue. We were given good and accurate directions on the best way to get into Casper without going thru a steep pass. It is slightly difficult to get from the interstate to the park and there is a short drive on a gravel road but well worth the extra distance. This is the closest park to Little Bighorn Battlefield. Although it is on a hill, the sites are level and easy to access. By far, the best for our money in Montana. We camped at 7th Ranch RV Camp in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a wonderful RV Park. I didn't give it a 10 because there is no pool. When the pavement ends you'll hit a section that is very washboardy. Even doing 5 MPH I kicked up a huge amount of dust. We were very surprised when we checked our level and didn't have to do anything other than put our stabilizers down. The sites are terraced and set in such a way that for the most part each site has a view. Most sites have a small grass area and tree between them with a table and barbeque grill. Wi-Fi is good although we have had periods where we couldn't get on. Our Dish worked great as did our over the air antenna. The laundry room is not very large. It has two washers and dryers, the type found in RVs - washer on the bottom and dryer on the top. It's been nice to come home at the end of a sightseeing day and watch the gorgeous sunsets from our site. The highway and railroad tracks are not far from the park and you can hear them. Our first night my husband didn't hear anything (no surprise), I heard at least 3 train whistles and I think there was more (yes I'm a light sleeper). This is a perfect location for seeing things in the area. We camped at 7th Ranch RV Camp in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Things to do: Custer Battleground Museum is a large private collection of artifacts. There is also a Subway and gas station there. Little Big Horn Battlefield National Monument.

If you need diesel there are no stations close by. Pick it up in either Billings MT, Hardin MT, or Sheridan WY.

The location is perfect for visiting Custer Battlefield NP which is why we are here. The pavement ends about 1/4 mile from the park entrance but is well maintained albeit a bit dusty. Park staff is very friendly. Check-in is quick and easy then you are escorted to your site. We were given the uppermost site in this hillside/terraced park which had an unending view. The park is well maintained and very clean. We camped at 7th Ranch RV Camp in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Must visit the Custer Battlefield National Park as well as the Museum at Garryowen. Very sobering to stand on the same ground where this legendary battle took place. Reading about it in history books does not compare to being there. Be sure to take in the driving tour as it will give you a better feel of how the battle took place and the lay of the land.

We did not have an easy time getting level at the site we were given and had to move the 5th wheel several times and use boards to level. Entering and exiting the site isn't easy due to the location on the side of a hill. The entrance to the campground is on a rough gravel-dirt road for about 1/3 of a mile. Hookups are well placed and Wi-Fi worked well. There is a large tree at each site and a small grass area. Two washers and dryers were to few during our visit but we were told they are usually adequate. We were greeted warmly and given ice cream in addition to information on what to see in the area. We camped at 7th Ranch RV Camp in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Little Big Horn NM has an excellent Battlefield talk and the 5 mile drive is worth taking.

In Garyowen the Custer Battlefield Museum if filled with many photographs of the various Indian chiefs involved in the battle and is very different than the one located at the National Monument.

This is our second time staying at this campground and there is not much I can add to the previous reviews. It is a great place to stay. Very friendly staff and large level terraced sites with great views. Good WiFi and cell service. Don't forget the ice cream! 3 miles from battlefield which is a must see! Escapee 15% discount for four nights for a full hookup, 50 amp site. All services, including Wi-Fi, were satisfactory. The sites are on a sloping hillside and though they appear level, they are not. We had good Verizon cell/MiFi reception and good satellite reception. The laundry was clean and the machines worked well, but there are only two washers and two dryers ($2.00 to wash/$2.00 to dry). Free ice cream at the office when you register; we chose huckleberry ice cream sandwich. We camped at 7th Ranch RV Camp in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Tour the Little Bighorn Battlefield; enjoy a pizza at 3 Brothers in Hardin; take a drive along scenic highway 14 and 14A through the Bighorn Mountains about one hour south of 7th Ranch.

What a gem of a park. Immaculately maintained, great views, long level spaces and good Wi-Fi that is free. This is a great overnight park where you can also do some sightseeing, as the Little Bighorn Battlefield is just 4 miles away. Park is all rock with grass and a tree between each site. The parks is terraced on a hill so the views of the prairie are just fantastic. Staff is very friendly and helpful, including a free ice cream treat at check-in. I would have given the park a 10 except I believe they are a little over priced for the area. There is some train horn noise but it is in the distance and, for us, not really bothersome. We camped at 7th Ranch RV Camp in a Fifth Wheel.
