We thought we were getting a deluxe pull-through site, especially for $100 USD a night. On top of that they charged us $10 for our 5 year old daughter. What we got was a site with weeds, no cable and no Wi-Fi. This is by far the most expensive KOA we have ever stayed at and can't really say that we would return. The Splash Park was nice for kids, lacking a pool though.... As previously mentioned, the Walmart was within walking distance. We camped at Great Falls KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Checked in on July 1. We were told the sites in the main part of the park might not accommodate our 27 foot motorhome, so asked us to park in a newer open camping area. It was hot and there was zero shade! We felt like we were on the moon. The main part of the park looked nice and shady and it appeared there would have been room for our rig. They told us there would be fireworks at 10:00, but we turned in early because we had to get an early start. The fireworks were loud and seemed to go on for a long time. Then the campers around us kept setting off more. We were not able to sleep well. I would suggest they limit the fireworks to 30 minutes, then enforce the quiet time. Nice waterpark for kids. We camped at Great Falls KOA in a Motorhome.

We thought we were getting a deluxe pull-through site. What we got was a site with weeds, no cable and no Wi-Fi. One of the worst KOA's we have ever encountered. No garbage dumpsters nearby. Would not go to Great Falls again if this was the only option. We camped at Great Falls KOA in a Motorhome.

There are new owners so we'll give them the benefit of the doubt since it is obvious that there are years of deferred maintenance to catch up on. the older part of park is hilly and very unlevel. Parking spot is flat but sites fall away from front doors. Newer part of the park has no relief from the summer sun. Trees in older part provide relief from the sun but need badly to be trimmed. wifi is spotty and the staff is well aware. Their solution is to come to the office to connect. With only 2 choices in great falls, this is the better option. We camped at Great Falls KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Great falls offers the Charles Russell Museum and is worth a visit. Also worth a visit is River Road Parks and Giant Spring State Park. We needed to install a 2nd air conditioner and used AAA mobile rv repair and would highly recommend them. Did great work.

We were 'given' a Deluxe site because we were told we were too long for the original site - as mentioned in previous reviews deluxe sites are in the open and very poorly maintained. There is a drought in Montana so not surprising - but something could have been done about the weeds and dry brush - not very appealing that's for sure. We were looking forward to a swim and it turned out to be a children's water park - not really for adults though we did stay and tried out the water slides! Firewood is free. Easy in and out, free entertainment at night and a nice breakfast available in the morning. We camped at Great Falls KOA in a Motorhome.

Has potential to be nicest park in the country, as it has been for last 4 yrs it is among the worst! Managers are great and appear to be trying very hard. However the design of this park demands a huge amount of maintenance. Mowing and weedeating was always two to three weeks past needed attention. Nice big lots with knee high weeds everywhere. Will return because of managers but sure hope they can get ahead of the landscape care! We camped at Great Falls KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

After being without wifi, cell service, or TV in another part of Montana, it was nice to arrive at this KOA. We opted for a deluxe site, which was very spacious for our motorhome, tow dolly, and car when it was detached. The wide open sites allowed for satellite reception and the local TV channels could be received even without cable. The park is secluded, yet right around the corner from all kinds of services and shopping. We asked to say for an additional night and would come back again. We camped at Great Falls KOA in a Motorhome.

We were happy to find it open in February. They were on winter hours but we were well served and had running water. Winds were incredible and had to pull in slide to stay vertical during the night. This is the only campground I can recall in recent years that offers free firewood. Not applicable on this night but a nice touch. It is a bit pricey and the rate we got was less than the KOA online rate. We camped at Great Falls KOA in a Motorhome.

This KOA is run by students. We were put in the most terrible site and the furthest from the washrooms. There was at least 50 to 60 % empty sites. We had to ask......no beg for another site. The value for Canadians works out to over 100.00 per night for camping. KOA Is not the same anymore. Too bad, it used to be the best.

This place should be avoided as to camping here. Very very very tight space to park. We were a bit on the road and no place for the truck if we had to disconnect. We camped at Great Falls KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

First off, this is the MOST expensive KOA I have encountered. Regular cost for an electric/water site is $59.00!! I would have never booked if it wasn't for a KOA 2 nights for 1 special plus the normal 10% discount. The location is convenient to the city and the campsite is fairly nice, lots of trres for shade and privacy; at least in the old section. I didn't see the new section. The bathrooms and showers are nice and private (each shower room being a full bathroom). Free firewood is good. Staff were nice and helpful, allowing us to change sites when we asked.

Now for the bad stuff (besides the price). The wifi is iffy (as it is in most KOAs) and barely worked half the time. For the cost of camping, it should have been lightning fast. The people from the adjoining property (which shares the road) constantly used the campground as a shortcut, driving through in trucks, ATVs and dirtbikes which was very annoying to say the least; like camping on a residential street. I think the KOA owners also own that property or at least employs some people from there. Needless to say, it kind of ruined the ambiance. The old section could prove a tight squeeze for big rigs. We camped at Great Falls KOA in a Travel Trailer.

I enjoyed my camp at this KOA in a shady, well treed section with a green area across from my site. Unfortunately, city growth has caught up to the park location and there is some daytime traffic and heavy equipment noise which disturbs the otherwise garden atmosphere of the park. The staff were very professional and helpful and the night passed quietly. We camped at Great Falls KOA in a Truck Camper.

I have a 25 foot travel trailer and we were in the old part of the campground. I was in a level, gravel, pull through site that was just long enough, about 55 feet to avoid unhooking my truck. We had grass on both sides with trees and bushes for shade and privacy from our neighbors. This KOA has the best children's swimming pool I have seen. The petting zoo, evening singers and pancake breakfast were first rate. We camped at Great Falls KOA in a Travel Trailer.

This park is very hard to rate. If you have a small trailer or motorhome you stay in the old side which is a bit overgrown but very nice. Lots of flowers, nice pool, pancake breakfast and so on. But we have a big motorhome so we stayed in the new section which has none of those things. The new section is mostly dirt with some gravel, and some green. I say green because it is not grass it is dense weeds. Some of the weeds are the ones with sharp points that make shoes better than sandals.

Thankfully it did not rain when we were here. It was close but just missed us. If it rains this place will turn into a mud bowl. When the weeds are removed and replaced with grass and the roads paved or graveled the new section will be fine. Until then the new section is not really a good place to stay. We camped at Great Falls KOA in a Motorhome.
