We stopped for a night. Made sure we filled our tank with water before pulling into our site, since there is only 1 water spigot in the middle of the campsites. We got a "pull-through" site, because there was no one in the site behind us. They are all actually back-in sites. We were thankful we could pull through, since it had been a long day and we were tired. Our site was very level (not all are), and there was plenty of length for our 37' 5th wheel, so we didn't have to unhook. We stayed in Site #2. They have recently installed new electric hookups - 20, 30 and 50 amp are all available. This is part of a rodeo fairgrounds, so it is a pretty large park, with lots of trees. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Chief Joseph Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Was passing through so I stopped for the night. Nice rail trail takes you to the old railroad depot which has a display of railroad equipment. I was the only one in the park and there was no place to pay but lo and behold around dusk an older gentleman appeared to collect the nightly fee. This is also the towns fairgrounds. 30 amp electric only and portable water is available. Rained so there was a lot of puddles but the surface was hard. We camped at Chief Joseph Park in a Motorhome.

Great little park located next to the rodeo arena. Well kept. Although each site has electric there is a water faucet near by to put a little water in your tank. Don't forget to do this before setting up your RV. When we stayed the park attendant was a WWII Vet, not many left these days. It was an honor to meet him. We camped at Chief Joseph Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Pretty little town, we did not explore but looks interesting. There appears to be history here based on an electric train monument in town.

Overall Rating:

This was a nice municipal campground located next to the city's small rodeo arena and adjacent to a river. There were some shade trees and fairly nicely spaced pull-thru spots. A playground and disc golf course is also located there. No wifi, no sewer hookups, just electrical. Water nearby. No dump station but we were told there was one in town. A very nice gentleman stopped by in the early evening to pickup the park fee. A very quiet and nice overnight stay. We camped at Chief Joseph Park in a Travel Trailer.

Good and simple option for an overnight. Sites are level, night lighting is excellent. Very quiet. Grass is mowed nicely. Skip the electrical hookup and save $6 (we opted to use it, however, to run AC). Very pleasant gentleman comes around to collect fee. We camped at Chief Joseph Park in a Motorhome.

For the rate & everything about the park there is really nothing to grumble about except a picnic table would have been nice to have. We arrived mid afternoon & were first ones in. By sundown there must have been at least half a dozen sites occupied. We were last out at 10 the next day. Must be a fun place to be when the rodeo is in town. We camped at Chief Joseph Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

Nice small wayside park in a typical mid west charming small town. This includes a rodeo arena and small park. We are here on Memorial Day 2014 and no one here. Nice level spaces with lawns. We tried to find info about rates but based on information on a billboard it appears to be free. We camped at Chief Joseph Park in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

This is a quiet little town park in the middle of a town of 900 people. The park has a very nice playground, an arena that holds rodeos several time each year, and a fishing pond. We arrived at 6 pm and the campground was deserted, yet by 8pm a dozen sites were filled. Electricity is 30 amp. Most sites had no picnic table. All seemed to have a fire ring. Our site was a stone pad pull thru with some shade. A gentleman comes around in the evening to collect the modest camping fee. This campground was fine for one night as we drove between Billings and Great Falls. We camped at Chief Joseph Park in a Motorhome.

This is the perfect overnight park if you're on your way to Glacier. Each site has 30amp service. There is water available but not at each site, and no dump station. It is in a small but very nice county park. The only complaint I have is that there is no way to pay if you come in late and leave early. The sign says an attendant will come by to collect the fee, but I suspect we arrived after they made the rounds. There's no drop box, phone number, or mailing address to send it to. We camped at Chief Joseph Park in a Motorhome.

A quiet, clean, and neat little town. We stayed one night on our way to Alaska. We were the only RV until after 6pm, when two others came for a total of three for the night. This park was just what the doctor ordered. We camped at Chief Joseph Park in a Motorhome.

$11 for 30 amp site, $9 if you don't use the hookup. No water, no dump, but there is a dumpster for trash. A pleasant city park with long pull-through sites. Easy access for any size rig. The first 30 amp outlet I tried had reverse polarity. The second had an open ground. (Both of these were on the pedestal at Site 5.) The third one (at Site 4) was OK. The park also serves as a rest area, a picnic area, and a playground during the day. It was very quiet there at night. A nice find. We camped at Chief Joseph Park in a Motorhome.

Cost is actually 10.70 per night with 30 amp service. No electric is 8.00. This is a bare bones park but great for overnighting while traveling through the area. Pull in, set up and a park attendant will come through in the evening to collect site fee. Would stay here again. We camped at Chief Joseph Park in a Fifth Wheel.
