Good park. Dead quiet. And, if you like astronomy, darn dark. Roads and pads are gravel. Each site has a grass divider with a concrete pad for a picnic table. Easy pull thrus with solid hookups. WiFi was so so but T Mobile was full bars. We stayed several nights to explore Helena and local fishing. Awesome downtown area. Plenty of lake and river fishing options. We will be back. We camped at Lincoln Road RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Very nice commercial park handy to Interstate 15 but far enough away so there is no road noise. Very friendly greeting with helpful information about places to eat and things to see. Level, long, pull through site with handy utilities. Sewer connection is at the back of the site so a long hose may be necessary. Site was just a little narrow. Looked like several permanents but all were kept clean and neat. No cable, but 22 over the air stations and clear view for satellite. Verizon signal was strong. Little grocery with a deli just down the road and several places to eat nearby. We would gladly stay again and for a longer time. We camped at Lincoln Road RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Stayed here a week while exploring area. Located about 10-15 minutes north of downtown, easy access from I-15. Nice friendly staff that took time to point out area attractions on map they provided. Gravel roads and sites, easy maneuverability, and level sites. Nice grass and concrete patio area, with adequate spacing between units, and while there are small trees between most sites, there is essentially no shade. There are handful of seasonals, all along one row. Nice bathroom/shower and laundry facility, everything well maintained, however, there is no provision for privacy in the shower area, as both men's and women's side have an open, common changing area. WiFi was awful, and staff knew it and joked about it, recommending the little coffee/pizza place nearby... although we did not think it that funny. Verizon signal very good though. We camped at Lincoln Road RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

The campground is easy access from I-15 with gravel roads and sites throughout. The CG roads, although very dusty were wide enough for easy maneuvering through the park. We drive a 45 foot MH with a tow and were able to get into, through, and out of the CG with the car attached without difficulty. The sites are gravel with small grass sites between campers. The utilities are placed mid-site and work adequately. Our site was satellite friendly and we also received several OTA channels from nearby Helena. We did not use the Wi-Fi, rest room, or laundry so cannot comment on that. There is no specific dog park or playground. There is however, an open area at the end of the park that is available for walking the dog and for the kids to run around a bit. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We would stay here again if we were in the area. We camped at Lincoln Road RV Park in a Motorhome.

Very well-designed, easy to navigate park. Big rig friendly. Wide gravel roads, angled pull thrus. Watered grass, small concrete picnic table area for each space. Medium-sized trees. Helpful staff. Quite park. Not a resort atmosphere, a good solid rv park. We would stay there again. (We did not use the WiFi, was told it was poor. Verizon coverage was excellent.) State capitol building interior is beautiful! Driving thru "the mansion district" to see the stately old homes was interesting. We went to the Broadwaters Hot Springs Spa to soak, reasonable and pleasant. Boat tour of Gates of the Mountains was close by, reasonable and enjoyable.

Tips for other Campers:

Lewis' Gateway is awesome. Take the boat tour! Helena is just another dull western town with an old bordello and a huge Catholic church. There's a connection there which, for the moment, escapes me. But, the combination is pervasive.

Big rig friendly with level sites. Easy on/off to I15. Showers were good. Wi-fi was very bad at our site and the office. The large tv room was nice but no WiFi. No dog park but large grassy field with bags provided. No cable but no problem using our satellite. Grass was well maintained between sites. We camped at Lincoln Road RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

I thought the price was pretty high for what we got, no cable and weak wifi, but the park itself is okay. Fairly level, but our site 41 had a tree when we entered that is BADLY IN NEED OF TRIMMING. No matter how wide we swung to get into our site, the branches scratched our RV...don't know why campgrounds don't check their trees more often. The water pressure was great (use a pressure regulator), 50 amp was good, but cost an additional $4 a day, sewer connection was in a good place, and they did have nice grass between each site. Sites were pretty close, but about average for most campgrounds. It was quiet and we heard no trains or highway noise. This park is about 7 miles from the interstate, and if you're traveling to Glacier, it's a ways out of the way if you're coming from the south, but I guess that's why it was quiet. We got decent over the air TV which we expected being in the capital of Montana. Wifi was very spotty...decent before many people woke up, but unable to use it by 8 am. The office staff said they had signed a contract recently to upgrade it. The sites were situated well for the afternoon shade, which that pesky tree did provide. We camped at Lincoln Road RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Quiet - that is what we are looking for! No Trains. No Interstate noise. Easy acces from the Interstate. But: overpriced, no cable and the (free) Wifi is NOT EXISTING. We don't know why they say it is free, it is just not here! Sites are very long but, when you have neighbors, it is very tight. Grass except gravel where you park and where tables are located. Park is very well maintained but that is it. Just great for a day or two doing shopping. We camped at Lincoln Road RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

The rate included taxes and GS discount. Due to excessive rains, a lot of areas in Helena were flooded, but this RV park was high and dry. All sites in the park are level and all over night sites are pull through. Hookups were good. There is plenty of room for walking your dog. Several restaurants within an easy drive. If in Helena again, we would use this park. We camped at Lincoln Road RV Park in a Motorhome.

Gravel pull-thru sites were level. Just an overnight stop, but the staff was very friendly and helpful. Laundry was very clean aith nice machines. A few permanent or long-term residents on the first few rows, but very quiet and peaceful. Each site has a nice area of grass and a picnic table. We used our awning and sat outside at the table. I would have rated this park higher if only they had good WIFI. Even at 6:00 AM we could not get any connection to the Web. At $45 per night, other parks in Montana offer excellent WiFi. We pull a 43' fifth wheel with an extra long F350 truck. Entry into park is very easy. Staff is nice. Lanes are wide. Park is surrounded by lovely tall trees. Sites are gravel surrounded by grass. Some sights have a tall tree. Utilities are placed well and work well. No Cable TV. Satellite reception is good. Propane is sold in the park. WiFi is pitiful. AT&T Cell service good. Verizon Broadband is good: No Dog park No Pool No Play area for kids No Bugs We camped at Lincoln Road RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice, clean campground with easy access from the interstate but far enough away to not hear the interstate traffic at night. Gravel sites and roads with grass patches between sites. Concrete pad for picnic table. We have stayed in other campgrounds on this trip where the sites were just as close together and more expensive. This is probably the nicest campground in the Helena area. We camped at Lincoln Road RV Park in a Motorhome.

Must see the Montana State Capital building. A beautiful building. Also the Last Chance Train Ride is a good way to get an overview of Helena (it's a tram that takes you through the government buildings, downtown and through the mansion district while giving some of the history of Helena). The Montana Historical Society is also worth visiting. If you like wood fired pizza check out Bullmans Wood Fired Pizza. Great food and service along with reasonable prices.
