Started out a score of 10 with the beautiful sites in the woods, and perfectly level gravel sites. Then we realized the advertised Wi-Fi was all but non-existent, the sewer hookup was inconveniently high, and the shower head was duct-taped, which leaked and sprayed erratically. We could never get voltage above 114, and that was prior to plugging anything in. A/C on low dropped voltage to 109. Our friends stayed in nearby, expensive KOA, and we would join them there next time. We camped at Canyon RV & Campground (Closed) in a Motorhome.

This park is located about 5 miles from the west entrance to Glacier National Park along Highway 2. Sites are level. There are larger trees and some tight corners for parking bigger rigs. Owners live on the premises and were pleasant. There is no store, but businesses and restaurants are within 5-10 miles along Highway 2. This is a no-frills, but pleasant RV park. We would stay here again. We camped at Canyon RV & Campground (Closed) in a Motorhome.

This is a pleasant rural CG near the west side of Glacier NP. The roads and sites are gravel with grass between them. All of them would have benefited from a bit more gravel. Most sites are large pull-throughs that have no difficulty with large rigs and towed cars. Tall trees provide shade and they do complicate getting satellite TV, but the long site allowed us to move around a bit and we were able to get a signal using our rooftop system. Although the CG is right off US2 there is relatively minor traffic noise. The owner/manager was quite pleasant both when we called to make the reservation and when we checked in. She has gotten criticized in some reviews because she makes sure that campers know the CG's rules. We didn't think the rules were unusual and her insistence on making sure customers are aware of them is, no doubt, the result of discovering that some people ignore CG rules and then claim ignorance of them. There is WiFi but it is weak and wasn't even working the first day we were there. However, Verizon 4G service was strong and fast. The most unusual aspect of this CG is that hot water is turned off in the bathrooms/showers at night. We are self-contained and don't use CG bathrooms, but this could be an issue for some people. One thing that was impressive was that bear-proof trash containers were placed throughout the park; we've never seen them used except at federal and state facilities. One criticism, however, is that only some of the sites are "big rig friendly". We were in B5 and ended up backing out of our site because the rig in the row in front of us made it impossible for us to avoid a tree as we exited. If I stayed there again I would insist on a spot in the "D" row. We camped at Canyon RV & Campground (Closed) in a Motorhome.

This is a great 'Mom and Pop' type RV park in close proximity to Glacier National Park. There is a lovely walk down to the river at the back of the park, great spot to watch the sunset. There are plenty of trees in the park which does interfere with satellite TV reception, but there are a few local channels you can tune into. They have a great laundry system - you book a time and pay at the office - the laundry is then for your sole use for that time. The washing machines are huge and a load, for washing and drying is $3. The owners are friendly and helpful - our only comment would be that the sites are pretty close together - just wide enough for our 40 foot rig and 4 slide outs. We camped at Canyon RV & Campground (Closed) in a Fifth Wheel.

We checked out five different parks near Glacier NP when we were in the area without our RV, even tho we did not stay at any of them. Of the 5 this park appeared the most comfortable. Spaces were roomy and appeared mostly level. It is under some trees but not "forested". Flowers were abundant and there were no "hearty partiers" when we drove thru as in the other parks. We would stay in this park when we return to the area. We camped at Canyon RV & Campground (Closed) in a Fifth Wheel.

Rate based on monthly. Owner definitely likes her flowers, this is the main plus of the park along with the closeness to GNP. (Only 8 miles.) The owner does give you the riot act upon arrival and makes it very clear if you are here a month you can't use her restrooms or have 50 amp. Satellite is difficult to due to the trees so many people move several times. Hot water heater is turned off at 10pm and the gates are closed. If you have a late evening you will have to open & close. Parking can be pretty tight. No outside mats allowed. I did my laundry in town as there are 2 washers/dryers and it was easier than scheduling. Wi-Fi is very sporadic: if you want dependable service she suggested you use your own as I offer this as a free service. Next time I think I will stay in Columbia Falls as it is only 5 miles away. We camped at Canyon RV & Campground (Closed) in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice park. Clean. Very little road noise from highway 2. Close (est. 10 minutes)to West entrance to Glacier National Park. Nice setting, flowers, landscaping. Can walk a path to the river if so inclined. Efficient and friendly office staff. Easy pull in sites with level crushed rock pads. We stayed here in a motor home. Would stay again. We camped at Canyon RV & Campground (Closed) in a Motorhome.

This is one of my favorite campgrounds because the owners are there almost all the time and they make the smokers and pet owners strictly adhere to the rules. We camp here because we love the fresh air and the quiet times in this park. These attributes are actually becoming hard to find in most RV parks but not this one. Nice little park tucked in the woods. Sites were level and utilities good Nice path thru the woods to S.Flathead river. Close to GNP 8 miles away. Yes, you do get the riot act about dogs but it does keep everything equal. I would like to rate this park higher but with no cable, gravel pads and roads and limited sites where you can get satellite I cannot. The rate was weekly. I would come back again We camped at Canyon RV & Campground (Closed) in a Motorhome.

The park is clean and adequate; everything works. However, there is a sign up in the office window stating that the property is for sale and there are signs that some maintenance is beginning to be deferred. This was not enough of a drawback to make the park no longer nice, though. There are lots of trees and a trail down to the river. The lady who owns the park is very helpful and knowledgeable about the surrounding area and made some good recommendations about what to do and see. Since we were there at the end of the summer season the park was nearly empty; this gave us a lot of quiet and space around our site which we enjoyed. We would stay here again. We camped at Canyon RV & Campground (Closed) in a Motorhome.

Shame on the person's review who stayed here in August 2011. We were here for the month of August, first by accident, then by choice. Our site was spacious and everything worked like it should, including the Wi-Fi. The owner was friendly and only stern with those that took advantage or didn't follow the rules. If you have a precious little dog that only you can stand, it's on you. We camped at Canyon RV & Campground (Closed) in a Fifth Wheel.

Attitude of owner and appearance of park rate this place a three. Very small sites with little or no grass. Campground in dire need of maintenance. Not at all pet friendly. Hot water turned off in showers at night. Stayed here because all other campgrounds were booked. We camped at Canyon RV & Campground (Closed) in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a very nice park; very pretty, nice spaces. They do allow dogs; however, in my opinion, the owner is NOT dog friendly. When you arrive, you get rudely read the riot act about following her rules. (This is 2 seconds after you arrive and she hasn't even seen your dog.) Then you have to sign her rules along with a statement saying that if you don't follow them you will have to leave immediately and she will not refund your money. The rules weren't all that bad, but other campers were also upset about being chewed out upon arrival. We lived in fear of our dog accidentally barking once. It was ridiculous. I would not stay here again. We camped at Canyon RV & Campground (Closed) in a Motorhome.
