This park deserves a "10" if only they offered good WIFI. Even with the park half empty and at 6:00 AM - it was often impossible to get to the Internet just to check email. We pull a 43" fifthwheel RV with extended cab and long bed F350 truck. Entry into park is easy. You drive down a lane to the office so entry into park is easy. Staff is very helpful and friendly. The main lane around the park is macadam. Other lanes and sites are gravel. Sites are long and large with lots of nice grass and apple trees. Beautiful views of tall pine trees and mountains. Utilities are well placed and work well. Cable TV is very good and Satellite reception is good also Propane in park is sold in the park. AT&T Cell service is good and Verizon Broadband is good. There is a small fenced in dog park at the front of the park. No pool but a very nice swimming pond and creek as well as an awesome play area for kids. No bugs. We cannot wait to return and stay longer next time. Gravel & Grass. Nice pine trees/small lake/ across from park is a nice walking/riding path Make sure to go to Moose's in town for pizza. It's cash only and definitely has some character, super fun! Also make the trip down to Flathead Lake and up to Whitefish Lake. They are beautiful . We camped at Rocky Mountain Hi RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Lots of trees = lots of shade and some tight spots for big rigs. Not an issue for me. Far enough from town to be quiet and close enough if you need anything. Family friendly park with large play area and a stream running through. My second time here and it seems even better than last time. Wi Fi was usable this time. Several long term residents and even homes. Didn't see any issues with either. Would definitely return if in the area again. We camped at Rocky Mountain Hi RV Park & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

It's all about Glacier National Park in this area. If visiting in mid August the Northwest Montana State Fair is worth a visit if you enjoy smaller fairs with lots of 4H and teen participation. And on Main Street visit the Wheat Montana Bakery & Deli.

Mixed feelings about this park. One section is older, in heavy pine trees. Another section is newer with more open feel. The park is clean, with level, gravel site. A few trees hang over the road, enough to scrape big rigs. Notified staff, pretty much ignored my concern. Sites are too close together, unless you get one at the end of a row. No pool, no club house, no activities. Have cable, weak WIFI, ATT and Verizon have good signal. All utilities worked well. Park is a few miles out of Kalispel. Decent value for Glacier Park access - 30 minutes. There are a lot of children running around, so it's noisy during the day. Would stay again, but try to reserve a specific site ahead of time. Cost is for weekly stay. We camped at Rocky Mountain Hi RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

We really enjoyed this park. We had two trailers that we parked across from each other under nice pines that kept us cool in the mild heat. The kids loved playing in the small lake, the western town, and riding their bikes around the park. Since the spaces were not close to the main road, we felt comfortable with the kids riding their bikes and not worrying about being close to speeding cars. We only used the laundromat. It was clean and had plenty of machines. Just across from the park was a walking/riding path that we used quite a bit. This was a nice bonus. We will definitely use this park when we return to Kalispell! We camped at Rocky Mountain Hi RV Park & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

This is a very nice park. We stayed a week in a 25ft TT. while touring area. The roads are asphalt, a little tight for big motorhomes. If you come in a motorhome ask to be put in a back lot space, much more room. The laundry is great, 9 washers and 9 dryers. The sites are crushed stone with patio and fire pit. Water, electric, sewer and cable are all great. The wifi is okay depending on how many people are using it. There is a nice playground for children and a small swimming pond. We camped at Rocky Mountain Hi RV Park & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Glacier NP is about 30 miles away and going to the sun road is beautiful. We saw a grizzly from a safe distance. About an hour west is Libby, MT and the waterfall and rapids on the River is beautiful. The swinging bridge was fun, though it is expected to be replaced with an iron bridge in 2018.

We stayed for 2 weeks to visit Glacier National Park. A lot of stuff to do in the area. This is an old park but has an area that seems to be newer. Many mobile homes in the same area that belongs to the park. Some in not so good shape. Lots of traffic in back area of newer part of park. Office staff nice but not overly friendly. We camped at Rocky Mountain Hi RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed for a month in our 40ft fifth wheel. The location is great for exploring the Flathead area and the park though crowded had good people both long and short term. There are a lot of on site amenities for children and the laundry facilities were nice. The wifi was hit or miss depending on the time of day and the crowds. Our rate reflects the weekly rate divided by 7. We camped at Rocky Mountain Hi RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Located about 1/2 hours south of glacier National Park, this park makes a good base for exploring Kalispell, Columbia Falls and Whitefish. As mentioned in other reviews, there is one section of the park that is heavily treed (making satellite antennas useless) and a more wide open section with some small trees that won't affect satellite antenna adversely. We were in the clear section (site 84) which has gravel roads and parking sites with grass separating the sites. treed section has mostly shorter back-in sites that are probably not good for big rigs. Overall, interior roads do have some sharp turns, and they may be somewhat tight for bigger rigs. The park has lots of activities for kids, but some of the sites are a good ways away from the kids area. Nice big dog run area. Check in was quick, easy and friendly. They do have a fairly well stocked store which is good since any shopping area (especially grocery stores) are about 4-5 miles away. Laundry room is open 24-hours and there are plenty of washers and dryers. However, the laundry room could be a little cleaner. Laundry is the cheapest we've found in 9 months on the road this spring. Only $1.25 per washing load. We'd stay here again without any hesitation. We camped at Rocky Mountain Hi RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

We took the Red Bus Tour at Glacier. Well worth it! Snow still covered the road at the top of going to the Sun Road, so we were limited to touring the west side of the park around Lake McDonald. Bus driver was knowledgeable and friendly. Red buses are an icon in the park and date from the late 1930 (admittedly with several refurbishing and updates since then). And they all have convertible tops so you can see the mountains as you roll through the park.

Excellent park - better than most. Had a great pull through level spot near the huge (very reasonable) laundry facility. Friendly staff. Park is a great central point for exploring Glacier NP yet close to Kalispell and shopping areas. There are permanent units, but well kept and separate from the RV section. Plenty of tree cover, good hook-ups. Separate play area for kids and 2 dog runs if you have any. Would recommend this park and would stay again. I was on the road for 28 days and I stayed in RV parks all but 6 of those nights. This was my favorite park. Most RV parks seem to be the mobile home parks of yesteryear but this had a real campground feel. I saw people sitting at picnic tables playing cards and in the evening building a campfire and gathering round. I did not see that in any other RV park. Most of the time people seem to go inside their oversize RVs to watch their big screen TVs. Wifi was good here. This was a refreshing change and I recommend it. An older park with what appears to be many return clients, especially families. Nice space for the children to run about though need to be observant when pulling in. Our site was fine, shaded by the two trees I had to back in between to fit in site. Nice room between sites. I have a smaller motorhome however observed that larger trailers/5th wheels definitely needed an active spotter to get in some of the spaces. There are many restaurant, store options in Kalispell as well as repair shops. There is a newer section of town with a large COSTCO and other big box stores. Our focus was Glacier National Park and we were about 25-30 miles from there off good highway which is nearby park. We stayed 5 five days and were able to book tours, etc easily. There are also some shops on the road to Glacier. Observed some other RV park options on way to Glacier, however with all other amenities, etc, would definitely stay here again. We camped at Rocky Mountain Hi RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

"Awesome place and Wonderful Hosts!!" Very reasonable, extremely friendly, sincerely caring & incredibly welcoming & eager to have me stay with them! Right away I felt like Rocky Mountain Hi was my "home". The amenities were top notch: Free Wifi was offered, I used it all the time every day, never had a problem with it, and my site was quite a distance from the office. Laundry was a great deal....the washers were the most reasonably priced I had ever seen and I really appreciated that they would fill up full and with warm water when I wanted it. Laundry room was always clean, liked the fact that it was open 24 hours, as well as had a large deep sink with counter space to do dishes. Bathrooms were awesome (well at least the women's was). It was clean and warm and had plenty of room. The showers had great water pressure and stayed hot thru out the entire time. The bathrooms were also very safe and secure because they required a code (which was regularly changed) at the door to get in. At the campground there is a large park area for children to play and it has some pretty cool things there that should interest children of all ages. This campground is very pet friendly. It also has an area where pets can play in a fenced-in dog run. There was a beautiful creek and pond I got the pleasure of viewing and hearing every day. The couple who were in charge of the office and campground, were genuinely warm and friendly. I had just moved to Montana April19th and I called around to ALL the campgrounds in Kalispell and the surrounding areas that afternoon, desperately seeking a reasonable place to stay in my tent with my dog that night and for the next week... NO ONE else was willing to help me except Rocky Mountain Hi campground! I am so glad I got the chance to meet them and experience such a wonderful place. One of the neatest things I enjoyed was seeing them out strolling around the campground visiting and saying "HI" to campers almost every ni. We camped at Rocky Mountain Hi RV Park & Campground in a Tent.

We had a great site in a new area. Wide site, farm field out the back. Quiet park. Some sections are wooded, ours had a clear view of sky for satellite TV. Pretty good Verizon cell and internet service. WiFi worked. Some areas had long time residents with old rigs, messy sites. Some roads were tight, others just fine. Woman in the office when we checked in was loud, complained about our checking in just at their checkout time. (Our site was already empty.) Park close to town but located in rural area. We would come here again. We camped at Rocky Mountain Hi RV Park & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

This park is a combination of mobile homes, RVs, and storage. They also allow tent camping. As for the RV part, there is an older section that is fully shaded with shorter, back-in sites. This section would be difficult to maneuver in a big rig. We stayed in a newer, full sun section (basically sites #71 to #89 on the park map). This section has gravel sites and roads. All sites are very long in this section. My pull-through could accommodate my 40 ft motorhome and still park a car at both ends. Site spacing is average for most RV parks. Your neighbors are close by. It was often dusty due to the gravel. All of the sites in this section face northwest, so you have shade on your awning side in the afternoon. My site had a picnic table on grass. This is a great park for children. They have a nice playground and a spring fed creek provides a shallow swimming hole near the office. Rubbermaid type trash cans are placed in several areas around the park and were frequently over flowing. They did not have a large dumpster anywhere and did not empty the trash cans often enough. The park provides cable TV. I could only pick up one major network over the air. Laundry room was nice. Mostly residential type top loading washers and industrial type dryers. They had one large capacity front loading washer that we used to wash our heavy bed cover. WiFi was great most of the time. There is an off-leash dog area near the entry, which is a long way from most of the sites. We would not hesitate to say here again. We camped at Rocky Mountain Hi RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.
