"Close to Everything" I was given a 50 Amp FHU gravel pull-thru for my 42' 5th wheel. I had more than enough room to unhook and park the truck on the site. The grass was being cut as I pulled into my spot and the park looked kept up. I didn't bother trying to use the park Wi-fi or cable; just as easy to use my dish and hot spot. Some roads are paved and some gravel in the park. Yes sites are a little close, but not to bad and it is easy to maneuver around in the park. A picnic table is on each site and the park is away from any train or road noise. I would stay here again. We camped at Spruce Park on the River in a Fifth Wheel.

This was our final destination of our 10 day trip. We stayed 6 nights here and visited Glacier National Park from here. Be aware - temperatures in July reach 90s so have adequate air in your RV. The park sits right next to Flathead River which is very nice - our kids tubed down the river. Our site didn't have any trees to add shade but most of our time was spent in Glacier etc. The site was very level. It is a very nice RV park and would recommend it to anyone! We camped at Spruce Park on the River in a Fifth Wheel.

Pulled in for a night and right from the start felt very unwelcome. Staff was not very friendly and they provide a long list of rules when registering. Also not very accommodating if you are travelling with pets. If you do not get a river site there are only a few places where you can walk up to the river, but cannot take your dogs with you. Will not return. We camped at Spruce Park on the River in a Fifth Wheel.

CLOSE to each other, like most "RV Parks" of this nature, We got lucky and got spot on the river G3 great view but way to close to each other. Bathrooms are old but clean enough and useable, WFI and cable TV didn't work in our sight, but ATT cell worked fine. Grounds are large and nice for walking, has few live in people but they are off to one side. When checking in you get large list of rules, that's fine but they talk about walking your dog only in the dog walking area, fine but put up sign where that is and at least supply trash can for waste if you want people to pick it up...it was clear they would rather you not have dog there. Spendy rates for the park but it's all about location...I would stay there again if need be and would ask for sight G 5 last of the river sight with no one on one side. We camped at Spruce Park on the River in a Motorhome.

The park was quite pretty, on the Flathead River. They were not what I consider pet friendly as they charged extra for pets. We camped at Spruce Park on the River in a Motorhome.

Nice clean park with lots of trees. Roads are a bit narrow in turns, could be challenging for larger rigs. I was in a 40' class A pulling a 12' trailer. Had to drop trailer to get a site near the water. We camped at Spruce Park on the River in a Motorhome.

We stayed here 3 nights in a pull-through site. As with most places the sites are not created equal and site B2 is not one you want since the neighboring site utilities including sewer are about two steps outside your door. Found the roads in the park to be quite narrow. The location on the river is great and was just a short walk for us. We probably wouldn't stay here again unless we were able to reserve one of the better/larger sites along the river. We camped at Spruce Park on the River in a Travel Trailer.

It is a pretty big park on the river. The sites are long but the roads are a bit narrow and there are some big trees. This makes parking a big rig a bit challenging. There is a small dog area that can be kind of far depending on where you are housed. It is relatively close to getting in to Glacier National Park at the west gate and the town will meet all of your basic resupply needs. We camped at Spruce Park on the River in a Motorhome.

Spruce Park By the River Campground
Very easy to find right on Hwy 35. Nice paved roads inside a very well kept campground located right on Flathead River. Sites are nice sized and level. Very friendly staff that escort you to your site. Plenty of shade trees. Short walk to river for a fantastic view or to go fishing. Good Verizon signal. Would stay again. We camped at Spruce Park on the River in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

When going to the campground, go around east side of Kalispell to avoid traffic. Trust Google maps on this route. Dine at Nickel Charlie's for some of the best food you have ever eaten. Just a couple miles from campsite. Stop by Willow Huckleberryland in Hungry Horse, Mt for some of the best Huckleberry treats around.

We stayed in the park the last two days of May at a rate of $43 a day. June 1st is the beginning of their busy season and the rates jump up to $59. The park is an older park and has a new owner who is putting some work in it for upgrades. The park has easy off highway access, wide roads within the park, NO low tree limbs, good water pressure, good WiFi connection and the owner has just laid new gravel on roads and campsite pads. The view on the river is great and the staff is friendly and helpful. Showers and bathrooms were clean. We were going to stay a week but when told that the daily rates were going up to $59 the next day we decided to move. To us the $59 rate was too high for what was offered so, we moved to another campground with more amenities for the same price. If we are in the area again during the off season we would stay here again for the $43 rate. We camped at Spruce Park on the River in a Motorhome.

Great setting on the Flathead River. We were in a pull through site in the middle of the park. The site was level and long but pretty tight side to side. Overall it seemed the park needs some TLC but it was nice. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It is a good pass through site, but only an okay destination site. Didn't matter to us as we didn't spend much time there anyway. We camped at Spruce Park on the River in a Travel Trailer.

Nice little park on the river, level grass/gravel sites. pull thu's are adequate a little tight for big rigs. Park has recently been taken over by new owner, was a little run down by previous owner. New managers are a bit overwhelmed with the busy season and trying to keep up with repairs at the same time. Has great potential if they can get their ducks in a row. A LOT of trees!! We camped at Spruce Park on the River in a Fifth Wheel.

Park appeared to be an old mobile home park that they're fixing up. We had a great site (#27) that was nice and wide and long enough for our motorhome. There were some large trees, but we were able to maneuver around just fine. Water pressure was excellent and this really is the best park for access to Glacier Natl Park, which is why we were there. We'd stay here again if ever in the area. We camped at Spruce Park on the River in a Motorhome.

Nice park, as it is located on the river. Has a lot of shade and trees, cable, and Wi-Fi. Sites are laid out with the terrain and trees so few are alike. Does not seem to be satellite friendly. Dish will be blocked by trees. Talked to other campers and there are very few spaces in the park that will work for satellite receivers.

Close to stores , restaurants, and service locations. Friendly staff. We understand the park acquired new owners during our week's stay. We camped at Spruce Park on the River in a Motorhome.

We stayed at Spruce for 4 nights recently. It was fine but nothing to write home about. Luckily we didn't spend much time there.

The location is great if you're doing Glacier and surrounding towns. It's great having the river close by. Just be aware the current is very fast and you have to walk downstream a ways to swim or let the dogs swim. It was very quiet the first night, we had a couple children along and they didn't find anyone that first night. It got more lively towards the weekend but nothing out of hand.

The bathrooms were dirty and not kept up well. Cockroaches on the floor, didn't get swept the whole time we were there. Items fixed with duct tape, dirty sinks. The bathrooms haven't been upgraded or renovated in quite some time.

The sites were fairly level but the section we were in was very tight (I'm sorry, I can't find the site number we had), slideouts were right up to our chairs. There were other areas that were much more open on the perimeter.

Utilities worked great, no issues there.

I'm not sure the owners are putting effort in to keeping it up and it's too bad because the location is nice.

We won't be returning. We camped at Spruce Park on the River in a Motorhome.
