This is our second stay at this still developing RV resort. Once again it was very quiet, with only two or three other RVs in the available 41 spaces during the Labor Day weekend. Not much has changed in the last twelve months since my first visit but plans are still afoot to landscape and pave the roads and sites. The bathrooms remain immaculate with plenty of hot water at a good pressure. All sites are full hook up (power, water, and sewer). The facilities at the sites are consistent with good voltage, water and sewer connection. There is no TV reception via antenna but satellite (Dish and DirecTV) is available to connect to at each power post. Wi-Fi is available at no cost in the resort and works very well. Once this resort is finished it will be an absolute gem in north western Montana. The current nightly rate for up to two adults and two children is $33. We also ate at the restaurant across the highway from the resort and owned by the same people. The food there is uncomplicated and tastes wonderful. It was also very inexpensive. Service was excellent. We will most certainly return to both establishment in the future. We camped at McGregor Lakes RV in a Fifth Wheel.

After seeing the previous reviews of this new park, we decided to check it out. The second review from last yerar gives a very good description of the park and the facilities. We stayed here one night in late July and had a FHU pull-through site. It was satellite friendly so we did not hook up to their cable/satellite system because I was not clear on how it worked. You hook up a cable to their outlet and then get either DirecTV or Dish depending on which system you have. I am not certain that you can get any reception without having one of these systems in your RV. Their were only about 20 sites occupied the Friday night we were there so I guess the park is not well know yet. The 802.ll network worked well for us in the RV. Most sites a quite large and appear fairly level. Going across US2 to the lodge with its' bar, restaurant, cabins, and dock on this beautiful lake is the only recreation. Unless you have a boat or just want to fish or swim off the dock, there isn't much to do. For families who still do the "week at the lake" vacation this is great. This is a nice park with a somewhat limited appeal for more than one night. We camped at McGregor Lakes RV in a Motorhome.

Date of Stay: August, 2013 - $28.00

The rate shown is the weekly discounted rate, otherwise $33 per night, but they do also offer a Good Sam discount. Set in a clearing and surrounded by mature pine trees, there are 41 sites, 12 of which are pull through. All sites appear to have full hook up (50, 30, and 20 amp), water, sewer, and satellite TV connection (just need your own decoder). All of the sites also had a new wooden picnic table with attached bench seats and a stone fire ring with wood available to purchase. Right now, the sites are gravel and sort of level but having chatted with the owners and hosts, the plan is to pave it all with blacktop. There is a one way traffic flow through the campground. Between the sites is an area that will be landscaped in time. At the moment it is a mix of wild grasses and clover. The bathrooms are centrally located. On the men's side the is one general use stall, one urinal, one shower and two hand sinks. There is also a separate room and of a very generous size that has a toilet, sink and shower all easily accessible to the disabled or those with mobility difficulties. The water temperature and pressure was good coming out of the showers and taps at the sinks. The shower stalls were expertly tiled and looked very pleasant. Apparently the ladies side was set out in a similar fashion with one obvious omission. The bathrooms were always spotlessly clean and fresh smelling - even had fresh flowers in there. There is a laundry open 0800 - 2000 daily. I found this rather odd in that it was an honor system which I have never seen before for a site laundry. One washer and dryer load $5, two loads $8 and three loads $10, payable to the camp hosts. There are three washers and three dryers, all of which worked very well. There is also a small table for folding clothes. The park offers free Wi-Fi that worked very well all the time we were staying there. I couldn't get a cell signal from any carrier which meant that work couldn't get hold of me that way - oh well, how sad and tragic! I cannot pass comment on the satellite or TV reception because we don't have satellite and I didn't crank up our TV antenna. There is a bark chipped walking path around the site that is about 90% complete. This is bear country so you are requested to be cognizant of this and clear away barbecues and store food carefully. There are two lakes within a stones throw for fishing, kayaking or boating and there are public launch ramps available at both. Across the road from the RV park in McGregor Lodge, owned by the same people. This has a full service bar and restaurant open from breakfast to supper and beyond. The food here is excellent and very reasonably priced. We thought we'd been undercharged for our meal and drinks only to find it was correct when we asked for them to make sure our drinks were included. There is also a small grocery store for essentials and seeing as Kalispell is 30 miles away, it is very handy for the odds and sods you may need. Highway 2 runs right by this RV park so there is some traffic noise but this is only noticeable because; a) apart from the sounds of nature, there is no other background noise to blend with it and b) the traffic isn't very heavy so there are long periods of silence broken by the odd semi or Harley chugging past. The camp hosts and owners are very friendly and helpful, both prior to our arrival and for the duration of our stay. The owner was genuinely pleased that we had come to give his new RV park a try, even though it isn't yet completed. We will certainly return within the next few years as I believe this RV park will develop into a premier location for camping in NW Montana. We camped at McGregor Lakes RV in a Travel Trailer.

This brand new park is on its way to a 10! The park has 17 sites so far, the remainder are still under construction. The sites are wide, long and level. Several satellite dishes are placed throughout the park and Wi-Fi was excellent. The sites all have nice picnic tables, and several have fire pits. A short walk north or south takes you to 1 of 2 lakes. The lodge is on the larger lake and is well established with a good restaurant, small grocery store, bar and deck. Cabins and a pier at the lake are also available. The down side is the lack of completion. The owners and workers try to keep the dust at a minimum, but there is no landscaping, or grass, yet. We did cook out, but choose not to eat outside in the dust. The owners are very friendly and eager to make this park as beautiful as the surroundings and as friendly as the lodge. We anticipate giving them a 10 on our next stay. We camped at McGregor Lakes RV in a Motorhome.
