Stayed overnight on our way south. Park is basic, a bit dated but well maintained . The sites are gravel & dirt, not a lot of grass. We stayed in a deluxe site with patio which was wonderful!!! All the services worked well and the staff was very friendly. We camped at Miles City KOA in a Fifth Wheel. Only minor downside is that interior roads can be tight for a larger RV if the park is full. We will definitely stay here again if given the chance. We camped at Miles City KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

This is an older KOA and could use some updates. The Management is very friendly and helpful and guided us to our site. The park has cable at most of the sites but the cable company keeps saying they are going to pull out. We actually chose a site without cable TV because we wanted to be out in the open to set up our satellite. The sites with cable tv are all tree covered. For this reason we actually paid for a "premium" site. It was well over 100 feet long. We are only a 20 ft travel trailer. It has 2 sewer connections. The utilities are fine and there is a nice patio and table and chairs and a swing for sitting. It also has a very nice fire ring. The problem is that there is a road on top of the dike directly behind our site with cars driving on it kicking up dust. The manager told us there are only about 5 an hour up until about 10pm but it sure seemed like a lot more. Additionally there are trains blowing horns in the middle of the night. Cattle mooing all night long. In the morning the smell of cattle was nearly overwhelming. I don't think we would stay here again unless we got a site clear on the other side of the park. As it is I think we paid a lot for something that I would hardly call premium. On the plus side - the wifi is very good (the park was nearly empty.) Verizon phone and 4G good and the satellite was good too. We camped at Miles City KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

It's in an older run-down part of town but it was very peaceful and well kept. Follow the directions to take the west interstate exit to avoid a low (11') underpass on main street in town.

The park owner is friendly, gives great service and a wonderful representative of the park. He has done so much with the park to improve it since he took it over. Facilities are clean, check in is fast, he treated us as valued customers. The parking areas are gravel and fairly level. We had a small patio, and a few new plants. Cable is great, Wi FI was great. We definately will stay here again. The park is being improved all the time since Kevin took over. We camped at Miles City KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Everything was fine. The young men who checked us in were very personable and helpful. It would be a more pleasant park if the grass at the sites was not dead. Very nice walking park nearby. Site surface was gravel and featured a fire ring and picnic table. We camped at Miles City KOA in a Motorhome.

Nice, clean, no frills park. Small pool but not over chlorinated and better than no pool at all. Hot showers and clean. Giant trees with shade and trimmed so no scraping. We had zero issues, but we don't use WiFi or TV of any sort. Pleasant and easy check-in, and husband had no problems with any hookups. They did a nice job of spacing RVs out so everyone wasn't on top of each other as they came in. Would come back and stay if passing through again. We camped at Miles City KOA in a Motorhome.

This is a repeat visit for us to this CG. Take exit 135 off I-94, north/east (this is business 94) to 4th street, turn left to Palmer, left to CG. Local access roads seriously overdue for resurfacing. Caution: not all local roads have stop signs; intersection right-of-way is questionable. Owners took over the CG in August, 2015 and have made improvements. They are super friendly and helpful and take pride in their CG, but work is on-going. CG closes during winter months. Credit cards accepted. CG is heavily treed. Roads are gravel, not too narrow but big rigs need to use caution. A few sites can accommodate large coaches. Turns are okay, just watch those trees. No overhead obstacles. FHU-20/30/50 with all utilities near the middle. Sites are gravel, level, scrub grass but no landscaping, no patio, has picnic tables. Trees make satellite reception challenging (#12 is good). Fires are permitted but no firewood sales. Good water pressure and taste. Office has small store with snacks, soft drinks, trinkets. Buy propane in town. Small playground. Very nice pool; no spa. Cable TV. Free, recently upgraded Wi-Fi but full campground chewed up bandwidth. Verizon coverage at "3 bars". No noise. Bug Report: tree wasps (look like bees - nuisance), black ants (a few got in), flies (nuisance). No recycling bins. We camped at Miles City KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Miles City is a small town but with city amenities. Landromat. Wal-Mart. Groceries. Diesel at $2.349. Banks. Good, local restaurants but no major chains. No RV store or repair facilities. Ace hardware and numerous farm & fleet stores (this is ranching/farming country).

While the immediate surrounding area of this KOA is not as beautiful as some locations, the proprietors of the Miles City KOA are among the friendliest and most helpful you can imagine. The facility is located right near the charming cowboy town and it is quite nice to travel in to town to visit the bars and shops. DO pay attention to the advice to use exit 135 (not the first exit coming from the East) as there is an 11' RR overpass and our 13'6" RV would certainly not have fit underneath. We camped at Miles City KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

The Range Rider museum is a pleasant surprise that holds a vast collection of cowboy collections, in addition to a variety of exhibits showing the evolution of Miles City. You can also enjoy a stop at The Montana Bar, the building going back to 1893. And, the western wear and saddle shop houses a wonderful array of clothing and a great saddle museum upstairs.

The man at the desk when we checked in was very friendly and gave us some local history of the park & surrounding area while he booked us in. We were escorted to our site by a friendly lady. Wifi worked well and we picked up several TV channels through their cable. Laundry room was clean. We didn't see a designated dog walk area. Garbage is picked up at the end of your site. We would stay again if passing through the area. We camped at Miles City KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

A very pleasant, older park with large, well-trimmed shade trees and located on the edge of Miles City. Check in was friendly and efficient with escort to site. Roads and sites are packed gravel and nearly all sites are level pull-through. All utilities worked well and the bathrooms were clean. There was enough green space around the campground to walk a dog. Wifi worked slowly.
*Be sure to use exit 135 off of I-94 or follow the campground directions as there is a poorly marked low underpass in the middle of town. We camped at Miles City KOA in a Motorhome.

You arrive through a sketchy part of town to an all-gravel park. Manager greeted us nicely and we were led to our treed site. No satellite access, weak, unusable wifi. They had a little pool, looked clean but we didn't use it or any other facilities. Had to back out of our pull-thru because of a tree making a tight corner. If passing thru again, I'd look elsewhere. We camped at Miles City KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Very nice overnight stay. Gravel roads and pads. Hugh cottonwood trees for shade. Nice pool. Office staff very friendly and helpful. Other reviews say this park is tired - it is just an older KOA park that is being upgraded. We were in the premium pullthru site - new utility pole with good 50amp service. This site is long enough for large rigs and quite spacious - it appears that every other site in this area has been eliminated. This sites cost more but are worth it if you want the space. Each site had a picnic table and fire ring. The park is not fenced and in an older part of town but we never had a worry about security. The large trees have been trimmed up so they do not create a problem. Maybe if the old KOA a-frame office was upgraded the whole park would be feel newer. We would stay here again. We camped at Miles City KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

This is the 3rd KOA built in the US. New owner is undertaking new "Big Rig" sites and other campground upgrades. The staff could not have been more helpful! When approaching the CG, the city had closed the road to the CG. I stopped and called the CG and was talked in via some different streets. (The KOA did not know the city had closed the street). They placed us in a Big Rig site that easily accommodated our 45' RV and toad. The sites can be a little close, but for an overnight stop or a few nights the CG worked well. We camped at Miles City KOA in a Motorhome.

Used this campground for a one night stopover in Miles City. Kind of a small campground right next to a mobile home park and a lot of industry. All the typical KOA stuff available but really good service from the staff. We had enough room at our site with plenty of shade. The WiFi and cable were a welcome change to the last several campgrounds we have visited. Rain again today but it drained pretty well.

We would stay again if in the area. We camped at Miles City KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

The Waterworks Art Galley was fantastic and free. A visit to the Tongue River Winery for wine tasting is a must, the owners were great and the wine very good. We came away with 6 bottles.
