The park is pretty and clean with pretty flowers and landscaping. It's a few minutes drive north of Missoula. The bath and laundry facilities are very clean and pleasant. There are no recreation facilities in the park, though it's a pleasant place to jog. Wifi worked pretty well. We camped at Jim & Mary's RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is a very nicely maintained well designed park. The landscaping and numerous flower gardens were very nice. Most spots are shaded but they were able to provide us with one with good satellite access. Verizon service is adequate. Site was extremely long pull through. Plenty of room. No fires are permitted. Interior roadways and site are gravel but well maintained. Staff is very friendly. We camped at Jim & Mary's RV Park in a Motorhome.

We have stayed in this park previously and probably will again, it a nice and very attractive park. There are lots of trees and they are tall enough to be no issue, the space between sites is fairly large with plenty of room for sitting in a campchair and our site was long enough for our large truck, 38' fifth wheel and Jeep. The park has lots of pots of flowers all around and plantings near the sites; beautiful in season. We have always been in this outside row and prefer it but it does put you closer to the train. Verizon was 4G and all utilities were good. We camped at Jim & Mary's RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Access good. Interior roads paved and sites gravel. Sites are level or close to level. Note that if you are towing, and if you pull forward to clear the road, you may need an extension on your electrical cord or hose. So when you park, look at where the pedestal is at the back of the site. Utilities were good except for the cable.

If you want to use a satellite, get a site on the outer south side loop. Grounds are beautiful with flowers everywhere. Staff was helpful and friendly. Note that you need a reservation here since it is usually filled up by mid afternoon. You can hear a train in the distance, but it is not an issue. There is no real road noise. No off leash dog area, but plenty of areas to walk the dogs. We really like this place. We camped at Jim & Mary's RV Park in a Motorhome.

Jim and Mary's is a great RV site, with a few minor exceptions. This site is exceptionally well maintained, groomed and landscaped. The grass is actually green and taken care of, the flowers are nicely planted and kept up and the trees are mature. The spots are pretty level and it's a nice park.

Despite some negative reviews about the staff, our only interaction with them was nice, they were friendly and accommodating. We couldn't get the cable to work so I cannot comment about that.

The Wi-Fi is pretty much atrocious. If you have any hopes of getting online then use your own hotspots or cell phone. Remember dial-up? Divide that by 4.

This RV park isn't perfect but it's better than most. There are a few exceptions that cause me to rate it lower than 5 stars.

During the day the park is so quiet you wonder if anyone is even there! We stayed two nights, on the first night a train came through pretty close by at about 11:45PM, blowing it's whistle repeatedly. On the first morning about 4:30AM the train ran through again, waking us up. The second morning the train ran about 4:00AM and then again about 6:00AM and the trash pickup about 6:30AM.

If I were rating this on the park, the staff, the grounds and the general daytime experience of our stay it would be 5 stars! But the regular "wake up calls" force me to rate it a bit lower than that.

The moral of the review is that this is a really nice park, one of the nicer parks we have stayed at, but bring earplugs for sleeping. We camped at Jim & Mary's RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

I made the mistake of requesting a site based on reviews and Google Earth images, the spot I was in was not really idea, lots of traffic and poor view. Take the side roads to get to town, the main street traffic is pretty bad.

OK park, rating it as average because nothing stands out to me. Spaces not to tight but close to each other, sites were level and ez to get to. Large truck stop at exits to fuel up. (not so close to create noise) Would stay here again but probably as a one night stay. We camped at Jim & Mary's RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

For this four-night visit to Missoula, we decided to try someplace new and stay here at Jim and Mary's in our 25' travel trailer. The park is lovely, with many large trees and well kept with lovely large, tended flower beds, and asphalt interior roads. The park has the appearance more of a state or national park with the generous spacing between campsites. Very convenient to Missoula.

The park has been around a long time, with the region growing around it, resulting in one of the negatives for this park. The park is not far from I-90 off the exit for the primary route to Kalispell, Flathead Lake, and Glacier National Park. Convenient, yes, but it's also the source of significant traffic noise. Similarly, the campground is only a couple of hundred yards from a tight curve of the major national railway, with every train squealing around that curve, and some trains finding a need for horns in the middle of the night. Neither of these issues are the fault of the park, but they are a reality for the visitors. For me, a light sleeper, these were issues; for my wife, a deep sleeper, they weren't an issue at all.

One of my issues with most parks is the lack of interest in providing decent WiFi - yes, they have it, but no, it's not really usable. Jim and Mary's RV Park is still using wireless G, the standard of a decade ago. They have a policy disallowing streaming. They have no plans to upgrade.

This speaks to a blind spot in their customer service. While we were there, the WiFi suddenly stopped working. However, since we were out all day, we always got back after office hours, which are 8am to 6pm, when most people are out visiting the area. So were weren't told that the password had changed. I was directly told by the manager that she wanted to tell everyone directly of the change so she could see who was using the service. Customer service mean "about the customer" not about anything else.

So mostly this place is great, but with notable deficiencies. We camped at Jim & Mary's RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

First time here. Flowers everywhere! Beautiful! Easy in and out, friendly owner and staff. Nice spacing between sites, not huge but generous. Easy layout and we had a pull through site so it was very easy to pull in and the site was pretty level. Cable TV worked great. Didn't try the WIFI but our Verizon signal was good. Looks like some permanents or semi-permanent but the sites are kept up. Some noise from flights and railroad, but enough distance from tracks that it isn't too bad. We didn't find either to be bothersome. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Jim & Mary's RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Close to Missoula for any shopping and local activities. Husband enjoyed being close to a few fishing spots, (within 30 miles). Friendly to dog owners, but strict about picking up after pet, which is fine by me. Really dislike when owners don't pick up after their pets. We found this to be a peaceful park for it's location. It's actually a great location.

We made a reservation the same day as our arrival. I asked if it was necessary as we would be there in a few hours and was told it was very busy so best to reserve. I was not told that we would have to pay the full price if we cancelled and only found out when they sent confirmation of our reservation by email. We arrived to find many empty rv sites.

The park environment is tidy and the sites are spacious.

The park is a 15 minute drive on the interstate from downtown Missoula so don't expect to walk there.

Our biggest issue is the noise. Trains seem to run all night and so sleep is disrupted. Plus the barking dogs....the neighbor Rv had 2 small dogs that barked frequently and a neighbor across the road had dogs that barked. Needless to say we didn't sleep much and were very disappointed in our stay. We camped at Jim & Mary's RV Park in a Motorhome.

We have been full-timers for over two years now, staying at many parks throughout the country and this was the best park that we have stayed in so far. It is not a "resort" type park, no pool or playgrounds, but it is so well-maintained and beautiful. Flowers and plantings at every turn. It is huge and perfect for even the biggest rigs (ours is 43 ft). It is family-owned and the management and staff are absolutely wonderful and felt like old friends even though we just met. The park was quiet, except for occasional trains passing. Our only disappointment was that there was no landline cable available, so that we could have broadband internet and phone connected through the cable company (as I mentioned, we full-time, which means that we try to get broadband when possible for work). They have a decent wifi set-up, great Verizon signal and a satellite cable system that is then run out to the sites for cable tv. The thing that appreciated most about the management is that, even though they simply could not offer us the option of calling the cable company for broadband, they were understanding of why I was asking, and sincerely assured me that the Verizon signal was good so that I could use a hotspot when the wifi didn't cut it. Also, they were very attentive whenever the cable or wifi was fuzzy or slow, getting it up and running immediately. The park is well-situated for day trips all over NW Montana, a good jumping off point for Glacier NP, great for being close to Missoula. We camped at Jim & Mary's RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

The bakery at the Muralt's Truck stop has amazing cinnamon rolls for breakfast. There is a lovely park to take the dogs at Council Grove State Park (no fee, day park) or Jacob's Island dog park. The Ninepipes Museum is worth a trip up into the Flathead Reservation.

This is a beautiful rv park. Large trees, green grass everywhere with beautiful flowers at almost every site. Great distance between sites. We had a backin site and it was long enough for our 25 ft. trailer and truck. Everything is extremely clean and the parks workers are extremely nice. It is 9 miles from downtown Missoula. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Jim & Mary's RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

This is a very nice RV park. We stayed for four days and the only aspect of the park that was not up to par was the cable TV signal. The lady in the office was welcoming and friendly. The park is nicely landscaped with beautiful flowers planted everywhere you look. The sites are gravel, but there was no noticeable dust or mud problems. Almost all of the sites are at least partially shaded. It is well off the freeway and while there is a bit of highway noise from US 93, it was not obtrusive. Power was good and water pressure was good. Recommended. We camped at Jim & Mary's RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

When staying in Missoula, be sure to go visit the Traveler's Rest State Park in nearby Lolo. There is a very nice little museum and you can walk around the actual campsite where Lewis & Clark camped on their expedition.

If you're up to a bit longer excursion, the Garnet ghost town NE of Missoula off of MT 200 was very interesting. It is very well preserved and feels like a trip back to life in the late 1800s.

We stayed for an overnight while traveling through the area. The site was level with good grass, shade and a picnic table. The site was a little tight getting our 42' 5th wheel in but we got the job done. Good Verizon cell service. We were only here one night so we did not use the WI-FI, so can't comment on that. Convenient to Missoula and I-90. We would stay here again. We camped at Jim & Mary's RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
