A nice place to stop for the night between Billings and Bozeman. The owner was the kindest, most welcoming woman I've ever met at an RV park. It's a tidy little place, very clean, with grass and a picnic table between sites. We have a 40-foot 5th wheel and maneuvered very easily despite the park's small size. We didn't use the bathroom, but the laundry room was immaculate. Bring quarters, there is no change machine. We borrowed a movie from the office and walked to the local saloon for dinner. Reed Point, population 96, is probably not a destination, but it sure was a nice place to spend the night. We camped at Old West RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

The Waterhole Saloon is 2 blocks, you can walk. Excellent local beers on tap and great burgers. The decor is the very definition of a "saloon". Friendly folk! Post office right next door. Have your postcards ready to mail.

Very well kept park with wifi, laundry and bathhouse. Sites are well tended and level. the park us right off the Interstate so very convenient but there is a little road noise as might be expected. Didn't bother us, however. Owner actually called us on day of arrival to check ETA and someone was there to greet us as we drove in! We camped at Old West RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

We were here 4 years ago and knew that this park met our basic needs for a simple one night stay. It is a very good "just overnight" park. The only significant change I noticed is that they no longer accept Passport America. Even without it, $35 less 10% for Good Sam is reasonable. All sites are long, gravel, pull through, FHU sites with cable TV. Most sites appear to be satellite friendly. Our site was level. Both the laundry and bathrooms were fairly modern, clean and adequate for this small park. The Wi-Fi was fine for our minimal (e-mail and web surfing) needs. The park staff was friendly and helpful. Since about half the sites are taken by extended stay customers, I recommend calling ahead for reservations during the summer. I did not notice any recycling. We camped at Old West RV Park in a Motorhome.

Great place for overnight. Just off the interstate. Would give it a 10 except for the noise from trains that run all night. We camped at Old West RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

We spent 1 night as we traveled on I-90, it was just what we wanted, clean, affordable, and easy access to the interstate. The owner was on site and helpful. The pull-thru site was tight but adequate, although there are a number of resident looking trailers they were maintained and in a separate area. An issue if you were staying longer is that you are close to the highway and a railroad. We camped at Old West RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Sandwiched between the interstate highway and a railroad track, this small park suffers from lots of noise during the day. From 10PM to 6AM, however, it was nicely quiet. I heard no trains and little traffic. Sites are mostly long pull-thrus with easy access. They are well-graveled with lush grass in between and needed no leveling. Restrooms were clean and showers had plenty of elbow room. Owners were warmly friendly. During my visit, the park was nearly filled with people working on a nearby windmill project. Access from I-90 is quick and easy, however, if heading east on I-90 you must go under a bridge with a clearance of 13' 9". We camped at Old West RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Easy on and off the adjacent freeway. The park is right next to the highway, but road noise surprisingly was not too bad. A very nice lady met us when we arrived with a reservation and quickly checked us in and directed us to our site. Our pull-through site had a pronounced front to back slope, but nothing the levelers couldn't compensate for. Water, electric and sewer all located conveniently and worked well. Verizon a little slow but usable. We would likely stay again. We camped at Old West RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

This is a nice RV park just off I-90 between Columbus and Big Timber, Montana. The staff is super friendly and they work very hard to maintain the facilities. Each spot has a strip of very green grass, which speak volumes about their dedication to the facility. Green grass in Montana is hard to maintain, especially in a summer when temperatures are regularly in the 90s and 100s. The laundry facilities are clean and open 24/7. Restrooms and showers are clean. No complaints except their Internet and WiFi service wasn't very good...a shame because Verizon telephone service is also very, very weak. There was a period when the service was out for more than a week, but I'm told the owners are working to remedy that and by time you read this they may very well have upgraded their entire system. The park is located between the Interstate highway and railroad tracks. If you are bothered by sounds at night, this might not be the place for you. Then again, you would be hard pressed to find any RV park along this stretch of I-90 corridor where you don't have train noises at night. Luckily for me those sounds don't bother me when I sleep. Overall it is a nice park and the customer service is exceptional. I would highly recommend it to others. We camped at Old West RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Convenience store in town is not well stocked. You must get supplies and groceries in nearby Columbus or Big Timber, Montana. If you are planning a trip through Montana during Labor Day weekend, this place is a must stop. The Annual Great Montana Sheep Drive in this tiny town is quite a sight. For recreation the Yellowstone River is nearby with plenty of river access points.

Easy in, easy out off I-90 at Reed Point, MT. Tiny town with old buildings, a tavern with some food within walking distance of park. New owners for the past year and they are very pleasant and helpful. I only hooked up water/electric and both worked fine. They offer cable TV and wireless internet. My gps showed (2) Old West RV parks with different routes. The most direct route goes under an overpass that I fit under without problem, but if you're really tall, call them to ask. Great overnight spot and I'd stay there again. We camped at Old West RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Rate reflects Good Sam discount. Very nice, quiet, clean park. Host Owners are very nice, seemed genuinely happy to have you there. They were very kind in accommodating a special need we had. They are visible and active in the park. Appear to be some seasonal RV's but all sites were clean and neat. Electric was steady at 122V, water good at 50PSI. All sites are pull thru and full hookup. Wifi worked very well for checking news, email, light surfing. Washers and dryers are newer, clean and worked very well. We didn't use restrooms or showers but poked a head in, they certainly appeared very clean. Sites are spaced well enough, you can sit outside, put an awning out and not feel you are touching your neighbors RV. Leash rule is enforced and there was no dog waste anywhere we saw. Sites are long, pull thru, gravel, level, with nice grass between them. Small picnic table at each site. Park does seem to fill up most nights, would suggest reservations. The town is very small but has some interesting old buildings and wooden sidewalks. We found it charming. Certainly location is fine for a day or more if you're looking for some down time with peace and quiet. There is a train, but its several blocks away, you don't notice it. Same with freeway noise, can't hear it in your unit and its not bothersome outside. We had only a weak Verizon phone signal, but it worked on our booster. We would stay here again when in the area. We camped at Old West RV Park in a Motorhome.

Very pleasant stay. Close to I-90 and a very quaint little town of Reed Point, MT. The park seemed to have mostly long term campers, but all looked neat and well maintained. The bathrooms, showers and laundry were exceptionally clean. We had full hookups to include cable and Internet. Both worked very well. The local saloon/grill is in walking distance and has a lot of character. Recommend if nothing more than to take a couple of pics and drink a coke at the saloon. This is not a destination campground however if you know the area, I'm sure their are some hiking and sightseeing to pursue. We would stay again! Passport America discount applied. Excellent value. This park is good for an overnight on Passport America ($20). Can't see paying full price. Just a wide spot on the road next to the interstate and near the train tracks, but was quiet enough inside the coach at night. Laundry room was in good shape, with brand new washers. Just 2 showers but clean. Cable was 24 channels, no ESPN nor CNN. Would stop again just for the price deal, and convenience between Billings and Livingston.
