Good place for over night! Good power, water, sewer hook ups. Sites are level. Some train noise. Very clean restrooms, laundry but only 2 washers and dryers! Gas/diesel close by. VERIZON work good. You need to enter the driveway to Sopko and Best Western and register at the hotel. You can get all you can eat breakfast for $6.00 at the hotel but you need to let them know. We camped at Trails West RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Convenient to highway. Site was fairly level. The water faucet was located close to the site and my slide was touching it. We camped at Trails West RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Located behind the Best Western hotel. Enter through the Shopko parking lot. Free wifi works well. T-Mobile also has connection. No cable, but several OTA channels are available.

Free good WiFi. at night a little railroad noise but not bad at all. We slept well. Great one night stopover just off the highway. But: the entrance is a little confusing, you have to go the Best Western (near Shopko) and the road is tight and not hotel worthy, they should put up a sign for the park. Checking in is in the hotel. We sure come back when we are in the neighborhood. We camped at Trails West RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This park is at a best western hotel and is right off the highway, but far enough from the road and the trains to be fairly quite, the rate reflects a passport America rate. the staff was friendly, the site was easy to get in and out of without unhooking, power water and sewer were all good. the hotel lets you have the breakfast for an addition $6 which was very fair. I would definitely stay here again if we are passing thru We camped at Trails West RV Park in a Motorhome.

RV park is behind Best Western. We had a relatively level gravel pullthru site. Interior roads part pavement, part gravel. Check in at lobby desk in Best Western. Park looks to be only a few years old. Services/hookups are in excellent condition. BW wifi service does not "reach" the RV park. We were there for only a single night (en route to Canada); a great place for that purpose. We camped at Trails West RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

We entered/exited the park by driving onto the Shopko parking lot and using the Best Western driveway (between the BW and the Shopko). Part of that road/driveway is VERY pot-holed... go slow to avoid "rocking violently".

Nice park tucked in behind a Best Western just off US-2 next to a ShopKo store. Checkin is at the BW front counter so no problem for late arrivals. Quiet, most sites appear level or near so. Trains run east to west @ 1/4 mile away but were not a problem as it was cold and our coach windows were closed. We camped at Trails West RV Park in a Motorhome.

Nice, small RV park right behind the Best Western Motel. In fact, you register in the motel. Gravel sites with nice grass areas between them. They water the lawn over night so the grass was nice and green even in August. They also accept Passport America so you can stay for 1/2 price. We camped at Trails West RV Park in a Motorhome.

Well. First impression: this new-ish hotel has absolutely terrible signage on the road and if you happen to re-enter the freeway its a ten-mile round trip to get back. Secondly, the hotel does not have its own driveway entry. You have to enter by way of the Shopko parking lot and watch out for potholes. One must go to the hotel service desk to check in to the RV park. The check in person was very sweet and tried to be helpful, but could do with some additional customer service training as she had zero clue exactly which sites were available and wrote out everything longhand (not on the computer). There's a beautiful pool inside the hotel, but we were told that it was for registered guests only (apparently being registered by their desk attendant for their RV park at their front desk doesn't count).

Our site was pretty level and its nice to have green grass. There isn't any shade. There are around nine pull-throughs, but our site was a back in and we could have used some additional room to do so. We camped at Trails West RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

The area is good for hunting/fishing/boating. Marias Museum of History and Art is an neat stroll through the area's history.

The attendant at the front desk will give you a map of the town with local eateries. Be aware that the map is upside down and it's easy to get turned around.

There is an Albertson's in town for stocking up on supplies.

Trails West RV Park, manager at Trails West RV Park responded to this review

Dear Paul Elliott,
Thank you so much for the feedback! I am sorry that our entrance is a little confusing. Due to the proximity of the Best Western to the interstate on ramp, unfortunately the Shopko entrance is our only option. There is an entrance into the RV park direct from Adams Ave though as well! It is true that the Best Western's facilities are not covered through the RV park because of insurance reasons. The hotel runs the office for the RV park, but it is not affiliated with the hotel, so therefore RV park guests are not covered under the insurance policy. We are a new RV park and have planted many trees that will take time to mature and give our valued RV travelers some shade in the park. We hope you will give us another chance if your travels bring you back through the Shelby area!

This was a single night stopover after our trip to the Calgary Stampede. The campground had all of the amenities needed. It was clean and my wife used the shower facilities giving them an A+ rating for cleanliness. The campground is near the BNSF train yard and the onramp to I-15. If you're a light sleeper, this maybe bother you but my wife (light sleeper) only heard one train during the night. We will stop here again when in the area. Sitting behind a Best Western Hotel (that is where you register), this campground is perfect for a one nite stay when traveling east to west. The bathrooms and showers some the best we've found on the road. Basic gravel sites, close together with full hookups. For an extra fee, you can also take advantage of the breakfast at the Best Western. About 100 miles from Glacier National Park. Would definitely stay again. RV park is behind the Best Western, staff are friendly and helpful, WIFI is the best we have ever had in an RV park. Showers and restrooms are spectacular, also has laundry. No scenery except rolling hills and freeway, little traffic or train noise. golf course is good, walking trail north of town is an added bonus. Man o man can the wind blow! the dog loves watching the black birds attack the prairie dogs, it is like TV. We camped at Trails West RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Arrived around 3 p.m. after having made reservations over a month in advance. One must sign in at the front desk of the Best Western Inn. Found that, despite having many large sites, they attempted to place us in a short, not-level, weed-grown site in the very back of the main campground. Supposed to be FHU; no sewage on site, supposed to be cable; none. Our 36' may of fit but not the Toad. Quickly deduced that the staff had no idea, nor concept of the RV Industry. Demanded and got a larger site with FHU in another part of the campground (no cable in the campground; only the Motel). Spent better part of that day helping others locate the 'Office' and watched them finding sites that they could fit into. Otherwise, typical Western - behind the Motel style campground. We camped at Trails West RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Nothing in the immediate area. They mostly advertised thing-to-do at Glacier which is a pretty good drive away. Watch the 'Breakfast Special' that they push. They offer it to Campers for $6/person and present it as a 'good deal and very tasty'... In reality it is your typical 'Motel breakfast bar'; luke-warm, dry affair with a sign over it announcing 'Complimentary Breakfast 6 a.m. to 10 a.m.'. Makes one feel second class as the Motel Guests wonder thru for free.

This is a new site with gravel sites, grassy areas, small trees and concrete tables that can't be stolen. A little high in nightly cost but the bathrooms/laundry room is spacious, new and spotless, and the wifi is probably as fast as your home Internet .... well, 3.7 Mbps as measured with the accurate testmy.net. And the reason is that the wifi comes from the Best Western which is less than 100 yds away, but not obtrusive. The Best Western actually blocks off train noise pretty well. This place is a hidden gem in my opinion .... hidden in more ways than one. Hidden as the best way for access is on the pavement on the west end of the Best Western and weave your way to the back. If you come in by Google GPS as I did it will lead you there by a dirt road which will scare you, but it takes you right there. The second gem is that Best Western offers campers a Continental Breakfast for $6 ... and this is not the standard Continental Breakfast. Scrambled eggs, thick ham, waffles, bisquits and sausage gravy, real orange juice, coffee and much more. It was my turn to cook breakfast ... and this was where went. We camped at Trails West RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
