This is a large park with all types of sites and friendly people. It has a little store with dipped ice-cream and treats, propane filling, hot tub, and a lake within walking distance. They do not have cable TV and their Wi-Fi is reasonably fast in the morning but terribly slow at night. This park is very close to the east entrance to Glacier National Park. We enjoyed this park. We camped at St. Mary / East Glacier KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Watch for cattle on the road into the park because they run loose. There is wildlife viewing in the area if you get out early. We saw moose, deer, and grizzlies. We felt safe hiking in the park without bear spray but you better have it if you are hiking in Glacier.

I don't understand all the negativity in so many reviews for this park. Yes, it's expensive but so is everything on this side of the park. This KOA has beautiful panoramic views! And the folks who work here knock themselves out providing excellent service. We loved the coffee bar, ice cream shop, and pizza! The location is perfect for visiting Many Glacier where all the best hikes are. We had to shorten our stay due to the thick smoke, but intend to return next September. We will definitely stay here again. We camped at St. Mary / East Glacier KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

This is the most expensive place we've ever camped. However, its one mile from Glacier National Park's East entrance; has mountain views, large heated pool, store with hand-dipped ice cream; they provide escort to your site, and even deliver pizza! Gravel interior roads, mostly level, fairly roomy gravel sites, with grass in between. They have a large fenced dog run with grass, and friendly, helpful staff. We would stay again if visiting the area. We camped at St. Mary / East Glacier KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

As others have noted, high nightly cost but that is typical for both east and west sides of Glacier NP. However, the east side has a higher sales tax than the west side which adds to the nightly cost, I assume from being on the reservation. Never seen a gift shop like this one: high end camping gear, good assortment of food and beverages, clothing, plus plenty of souvenir trinkets - very nice. Big laundry facility but obviously used by locals and folks cleaning pet bedding: be sure to clean the lint traps! Sites were fine with gorgeous views when the smoke cleared. A snow cleared a lot of the smoke and the weather was great for our stay. Seems more native shrubs or trees could be added to the grassy areas to separate the sites. Watch for the foxes early in the morning patrolling the sites. Wifi was very weak but if you have Verizon the signal is strong. No issues with utilities. Relatively low occupancy and folks were spread out, giving a sense of more space per site. We camped at St. Mary / East Glacier KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Great access to the Glacier NP St. Mary entrance and visitor center. There is more wildlife on the east side but you need to look for it. I feel the east side hikes are better too. Iceberg Lake hike was great - take binos. Browning has a great but small Plains Indians museum, most of the very unusual artifacts coming from private collectors or the Northern Railroad collection - a bit of history preserved. And if you're buying diesel, fuel is 25 cents per gallon less in Browning than St Mary.

RV park with all of the amenities you can even have pizza delivered to your site. Way overpriced. Sites are gravel not level with dead grass between sites. We made a reservation for 50amps only got a site with 30amps, we were told that was all that was available, and for that I paid 67 per night! It is convenient to Glacier park entrance. When we arrived the water pressure was only 20psi, when I inquired they said it was because they were watering the grass (which is dead). The pressure did go back up once they stopped watering. Wifi had good signal but just didn't work. Would not stay again because of the price We camped at St. Mary / East Glacier KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

The campground is not as bad as some make it sound. It has great access to Glacier NP, was clean, easy to access. It's not somewhere I'd want to sit around a campfire at, the sites are a bit close, but if you are out hiking and exploring all day, it served it's purpose of having a place to park the rig with full hook-ups. We camped at St. Mary / East Glacier KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Overpriced, but overall a nice campground. Was very busy but the staff was helpful, friendly, and kept the place clean. No AT&T signal. Some Verizon signal. Wifi was non-existent anywhere but at the office and even there it was very slow. We camped at St. Mary / East Glacier KOA in a Motorhome.

2 miles to the East entrance of Glacier National park. Close to restaurants and grocery store. After a long day of hiking the hot tub was amazing! Clean Clean Clean!! Breakfast, pizza, and BBQ available in the park. Short walk to a lake. Good places to walk the pups.

This is a very expensive park but it had everything. The huckleberry ice cream is to die for. The area has very limited supplies so make sure you are well stocked before arriving including close towns. Site was level. WIFIsometimes good but not at peak times. Close to park. Staff great and very helpful. Our site level. We camped at St. Mary / East Glacier KOA in a Motorhome.

Large, well run park. Sites are plenty big and good access. Views of the mountains are amazing. About 1 mile to park entrance. A little pricey but so is everything else here. Wifi not very strong but it is very remote here. By far the best place to stay on the East side of Glacier NP. We camped at St. Mary / East Glacier KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

KOA neat the east entrance of Glacier. Great views of the mountains from the camp. Sites gravel with grass, table and fire ring. Not sure if all the staff can match your RV to the site. Check the site before set up. Most sites level in the middle but may have slanted entrance/exit. Make sure you motorhome will fit on the level portion. Best to unhook toad at checkin. FHU's good, mid site. are a lot of tent site at this KOA. No cable. Verizon good, no T-mobile signal. No cable. Wifi unusable at site. Did not try OTA. All sites seem sat friendly. No road noise. Nice pool/hot tub. Camp store stays open till 11:00 pm also onsite eatery open for breakfast and open late for dinner. Pizza delivery available to site. Pricey but everything is, near here due to it's location. Nice dog park for rover. Average KOA but probably best camp in the area to see sights around East Glacier. We camped at St. Mary / East Glacier KOA in a Motorhome.

Small town nearby, gas for cars, and can get motorhome in, if you are careful. Best RV gas in Browning. Great hiking in the area. Thought the scenery was more dramatic over West Glacier.

First off, I must say the area is simple awesome,....but the campground was dirty. Trash blowing around and none of the staff ever stopped to pick it up. Campers would cut through occupied sites to and from the pool, but since the staff also cut through occupied sites I guess it's okay for campers?? We were having power problems and called the office. Was told they would come and check but they never did. Two days later, power was out the in the whole campground. Go figure!! Glacier is awesome, but I'd look for another place to stay next time. There were loose dogs also. I even witnessed a KOA worker walking his two black labs with no lease! We camped at St. Mary / East Glacier KOA in a Motorhome.

Located in one of the most beautiful spots in the United States. Well kept, although a little dusty. Excellent pool. My one complaint is that the park is set up in very long horizontal rows that have nowhere to pass through. So if you are considerate, you have to walk all the way to the end of the row to get any where. And then you always have other people cutting through your site. We camped at St. Mary / East Glacier KOA in a Travel Trailer.

CG has expanded and for the better, except for the price. Easy to navigate a big rig. CG store is well supplied. Dog friendly. Lots of places to walk your dog. Go down to the river. It's really nice. Just a short drive to the park. The park is great. We camped at St. Mary / East Glacier KOA in a Motorhome.

While the campground was nice and the access to the National Park was great, it was not as advertised. They advertise Wi-Fi but what they don't say is that it is spotty at best. The further you are from the office, the less likely you are to get a connection. We even walked INTO the office & the connection was bad. The guy at the desk said there were too many people connected. If the park were full, I could understand that comment. It was maybe half full. The only cell service available within 8 miles of the park is Verizon. Great little dog run. Plenty of room for the pups to exercise. We camped at St. Mary / East Glacier KOA in a Motorhome.
