This is a beautiful campground with many trees, so care should be taken in avoiding them while maneuvering rigs. Don't forget overhanging branches with taller units. The hosts are very friendly and welcoming. Our gravel site was mostly level and just long enough to accommodate our 35' 5er and truck without unhooking. There is significant traffic noise from US 287 but none from I-90. Our rate of $38 plus tax seemed a little pricey for only water and 30 amp electric. WIFI was slow, and no cable. However, we've enjoyed this campground before and will do so again when in the area. We camped at Camp Three Forks in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a very nice park that was a former KOA, the owner is making and planning many updates, when we stayed they had just redone the store. There are limited full hook up sites if you can only get water and electric take it; the sites are huge and the trees are beautiful the dump station is easy to access. The staff care about both the owner, who is a very nice guy and the campground. They work very hard to ensure the guests are comfortable. Try the ice cream it's awesome ! Access from the highway is easy and there are lots of things to do and see in the area. We will stay again when in the 3 forks area. We camped at Camp Three Forks in a Motorhome.

Most of the sites were pull through and long enough to accommodate most units plus their pull or towed vehicles. The sites are shady but not a lot of room between sites. Sites were gravel with a small amount of grass. Tent sites around the outer edge were very nice and had lots of grass. No Interstate noise and local traffic noise disappeared after dark. Picnic tables were older and warped. Fireplace at each site. Would stop there again. The Lewis & Clark Cave is worth the time. Customer service lead each unit into the park and to their site. We camped at Camp Three Forks in a Travel Trailer.

The park is well maintained with lots of trees. They had gravel driveways and gravel pads. We had a long pull through and did not have to unhook. There was plenty of space between the pull through sites. They had screw in sewer connections. Water pressure was great even with a regulator. We got several stations with our over-the-air antenna. The free WiFi strength was good. The response was good. Verizon Wireless was 4 out of 5 bars. We camped at Camp Three Forks in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Nice campground with many trees. I did notice some low hanging limbs, so a tall coach might have some troubles. For the most part there are just a few over the sites, but I saw quite a few touching the sides of coaches as I did an evening walk. There is a pool and play ground for the kids. We were on the back side and it was very quite. Near the road you might get some traffic but it is not heavy. Our site was level side to side and just a little needed front to back. All utilities were placed well and there was no stray voltage on the power box. The breakers were off when we pulled in, not sure if that was staff (Yeah Staff) or someone else turning them off. If you go into town or Willow Creek you might want to check the times for restaurants and what not. Many seemed to keep strange hours and we went to one that was closed Monday and Tuesday. Don't count on things being open when you want. It has been a nice overnight and we would stay here again. We camped at Camp Three Forks in a Travel Trailer.

This park is just south of the intersection of 287 and I-90. We were charged an extra $3/night for our granddaughter. This is a former KOA that is well maintained. The trees narrow the roadways but they are negotiable for an experienced driver. I needed to do minor trimming at our site to avoid branches rubbing on slide toppers. There is a great town museum in 3 Forks, and the park is near the Lewis & Clark Caverns, named after them as they passed nearby.

No discounts offered. Site was a narrow, level, pull-through with water and 30 amp electric. Site was just long enough for the motorhome and towed vehicle. We had good Verizon cell and internet reception and somehow had good DishTV reception through the trees. The park was quiet at night. This was an overnight stay for us and we would stay again. We had a group of 3 rv's, got sites together. Long sites. The pool was out of commission, don't know why. The park is far enough off the interstate, you don't hear traffic. We will go back this spring/summer in our 5th wheel. We camped at Camp Three Forks in a Truck Camper.

This is an older park, as others have said, but it is clean and tidy. Because we are truly a big rig, 45' fifth wheel pulled by a semi, I called ahead to make sure we would fit. The host told us to park outside the gate, which was a good call since we didn't know which way we would have gone once we were in, and we would have taken up the whole entry. We were lead to our site - a double without sewer, which we can do without - and didn't have any issues with trees or maneuvering the roads. The new owner is trying very hard to spruce up the place, and takes great care to coax the grass to grow in the relatively harsh climate of Montana. We pulled in for an overnight, but liked it so much we stayed an extra day and checked out the Lewis & Clark Caverns and two other state parks nearby. Lots to do in the area, and this campground is well-located for an activity base. It's close to the freeway and Hwy. 287, but we weren't bothered by noise. The campground wasn't full when we were here, and if it was perhaps our experience would have been different, but we had a very pleasant stay with no issues. The hosts were delightful, and served a local ice cream at the office. Only $2 for a generous double scoop, rich and solid, very smooth Wilkcoxson's brand. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Camp Three Forks in a Fifth Wheel.
