This is a well used former KOA campground in a lovely setting. 30 AMP only. FHU no cable and the satellite was difficult because of the trees, but we got some stations on DISH. The wifi was very good where we were located. The owner is very nice and walks you to your site prior to you checking in. Looks like good fishing on the river, but no swimming. There was train and road noise, but it always quieted down at night so did not bother us. Even though it is a basic park, we would have no problem staying there again if in the area. We camped at Kootenai River Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Lots of stuff to see around Troy/ 30 miles to Libby, 30 miles to Bonners Ferry. There is also the Ross Cedar Grove 20 miles away which is well worth a visit.

I chose this RV park because of the excellent reviews provided. What a super nice family, and yes, the women's bathroom was remodeled and tres chic! Wifi was spotty at the far corner but we moved a little and got wifi, good Verizon, and husband even got his satellite dish to work. We've been on the road long enough that the traffic going by on Hwy 2 is more of a hum than a bother. Dogs loved the river about 1/3 mile away but the current is too strong to swim. And the picnic tables are the best I've seen in any camp! We camped at Kootenai River Campground in a Motorhome.

The owners remodeled the women's bathroom this past winter and it is beautiful! The men's next winter. The owners/staff are extremely accommodating and meet you as you drive in, show what sites are available and allow you to choose. It's a nice, quiet park with nice shade. The only recommendation I have is that the gravel pads need to be wider. I would go here again. We camped at Kootenai River Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Price reflected Good Sam discount. The owner's son met us at the door and took us out to show us where our campsite was located. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Our site was a very long pull through that we could have fit another rig on. It was fairly level and graveled with40' to 50' of grass between sites. There was good shade with several tall pine trees around our site. The campground was close to highway 2 and to a major BNSF railroad line. Noise doesn't bother us, however if you are sensitive to road noise or passing trains, this might not be the campground for you. There is wifi, but you need to be close to the office to be able to use it. We had an adequate Verizon signal, so chose not to use it. There is no cable, but we were able to pull in several stations with our antenna. The park is dog friendly, but does not have a specified dog run. We overnighted here while on our way to Glacier Park, but we would stay here for an extended length of time also. We camped at Kootenai River Campground in a Motorhome.

Very nice little park, located right on the Kootenai River. The manager is very helpful and friendly. The sites are gravel, but mostly level as far as I could tell. Wi-Fi was pretty good at our site, some people had to go to the central kiosk to get service, but it was adequate when you did get it. No cable TV is the only reason we did not give it a 10. The bathrooms, although not modern, were nice and clean. There is laundry on site we did not use, and a small store. The new owners are still improving it. You can walk to the river and fish on site if you wish. We'll stay there again if in that part of the state. We camped at Kootenai River Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Nice and well maintained park. Despite the fact that it's directly at the road, it is rather quiet. There are back-in as well as pull through sites, suitable also for big rigs. Each site has a fire ring. Wi-Fi is only available close to the office building, but is working fine. Restrooms/showers were clean and in good condition. They have a small store with some basic stuff. Good value, would stay here again. We camped at Kootenai River Campground in a Truck Camper.

The campground was rustic, but clean. The sites were large and flat with grass, picnic tables and fire pits. Firewood was available for purchase. The staff was friendly and accommodating. There were laundry facilities and the rest rooms were clean and the showers offered privacy. There was no TV, but the WiFi was adequate. Access to the Kootenai River was good and offered a fishing option for campers, with the appropriate Montana fishing license. We were in the campground for 4 days, and had no complaints. We will recommend this campground and feel it is an excellent value for the price paid. We camped at Kootenai River Campground in a Travel Trailer.
