We enjoyed our stay at San-Suz Ed. The park is nice in a woodsy way and the people are friendly. Our space had nice privacy. We were very close to West Glacier National Park and an easy drive to the recreation options in Whitefish. We would recommend this park to you. We camped at San-Suz-Ed RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Easy to find and close to West Glacier Park entrance. Nice young man who was very helpful. Our pull through site was paved and level with several options for full hook up. Beautiful forested camp with sites for double occupancy if you're traveling with another camper. Also tent camp in the outer perimeter with gravel sites in the woods. Beautiful Park in a mountain setting. We camped at San-Suz-Ed RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Entrance to the National Park is close to drive to the Sun Hwy. Glacier Grill and Pizza four miles west has awesome pizzas and burgers with distillery across the road. Nice folks too. The little grocery is very small and more like a camp store with most of the items you may run out of. We saw some sort of small water park on the right but didn't investigate.

Enjoyed the park. Sites are fairly close, but mitigated by beautiful pine trees that separate each site. Park is well run. This park is immediately adjacent to Route 2, the main road in the area. Road noise is heavy. The park is large and very busy, but because of the woods, we felt secluded. Very convenient to Glacier NP. Some train traffic nearby. We camped at San-Suz-Ed RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Small park that felt like you were camping in your back yard with FHU. Quiet and close to West Glacier. Had homemade chocolate chip cookies and cinnamon rolls that were both delicious. Camp ground owner was very nice - we checked in on a Sunday afternoon during their "off" hours and had a little difficulty locating the site but ultimately had no issues parking. We camped at San-Suz-Ed RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

We recently stayed at the RV Park after the National Park Campgrounds filled up. We can honestly say that it was a great experience staying at San-Suz-Ed. The new owners (family) made us fill right at home and they are making improvements to the campground daily, for instance (new washers and dryers, making the park dog friendly, cleaning up the sites, etc..) We were sad to leave after 4 days, and would have loved to stay longer. The RV Park was full, but it never felt crowded and was always peaceful and quiet at night. We had fun sitting around the community campfire in the evenigs and sharing stories while our daughter made new friends. We definitely recommend this campground to anyone looking, and we will be back next year. The sites were all fairly spacious, some more than others. It was easy to fit our 30' 5th wheel in most spaces. We camped at San-Suz-Ed RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Upon arrival, we were required to sign a waiver stating the park was not responsible for any damages including "...even if such claim is based upon actual negligence of the park or its employees, directors, or workers." This did not set a good tone for my stay. We eventually came to a compromise on this issue and went to our site. It was a wonderully large site, extra long, and plenty of width. Howver, it was very un-level. We had to put blocking under our tires in addition to using our jacks to get level. The biggest issue was the sewer connection. It was in the middle of the site at the back. It required us crawling under the rig to connect and disconnect it, which is ridiculous. It could have easily been moved. There were maybe ten other campers in the park, so it wasn't the only site left. Other sites had the hook-ups in normal placement but we were given this one. There are a multitude of RV parks in this area. Based ont he company being adamant about liability, and the hook-ups, we would advise staying somewhere else. We camped at San-Suz-Ed RV Park in a Motorhome.

Very rustic, wooded campground, pretty. Our site was one of only about 5 that were not in the woods. We were able to maneuver our 45' motorhome into our site (#8) very easily. The remainder of the park was narrow and heavily wooded. We would not have been happy if we did not get the site we had. Hook ups were awkward, located all the way in back. We had to use extensions for our electric and sewer. Site was not very level but workable for us. The campground has a communal campfire every night and that was really nice. Forget about getting wifi. We were able to use Verizon for phone and text but not for hotspot. We camped at San-Suz-Ed RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Columbia Falls: Mudman Burgers, delicious and good price. Whitefish: Charming town to walk around in. Try to catch the Farmers Market. Glacier National Park: Terrific, loads of great hiking....go very early or you will be stuck in traffic and crowds. Kalispell: Good shopping, Costco and all the typical stores. Nice, charming downtown area to walk around in. Sweet Peaks ice cream shop, yummy.

Wonderful place to stay. The interior roads are all paved. The majority of the sites through the middle are paved. The outer smaller sites are not paved. The campground is near the entrance of Glacier National Park. Shopping is also not far from the campground. We camped at San-Suz-Ed RV Park in a Motorhome.

Good paved road going into and in park, right on Hwy 2. Many sites are paved and the road in the park is paved, unlike a previous reviewer posted. I didn't notice any highway noise at night and very little in the daytime. Train tracks are about a mile away and all you hear is the whistle at night.  Wi-Fi connection was very bad for speed and  disconnecting. Good Verizon signal. Nice and clean with strict park rules one being no lights on at night.  No campfires at sites. They have community campfires by the office nightly at 7 PM. Nice laundry room. Site #2 was $350 for 7 day full hookup. No discounts. I would stay there again. We camped at San-Suz-Ed RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Very odd layout, but clean. Our spot did not have sewer, only water and electric. It was in the back of a field that we had to drive across to get to our site. The site was extremely unlevel. It was not worth the $44 we paid. No Good Sam discount. Pretty setting with shade. Showers were clean but VERY small. We camped at San-Suz-Ed RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

First the good...CLOSE to Glacier West entrance. All downhill from there. Campground is dirt, most everywhere. Dusty if dry, muddy if wet. On our first night I asked the two ladies in the office why there were no towels/dryer machine in the bathrooms. Was told that the "RV'ers take the towels to wash their windshields". Not only is there no means to dry hands after using the facilities there is NO soap provided, dispensers or otherwise. The campground has the railroad tracks on one side and a heavily truck /car traveled highway within 100 yards on the other. The shower stalls are tiny and the toilet was dirty from someone that had had serious problems. We camped there for two nights and the same toilet still had not been cleaned by the morning we left. I informed the two ladies in the office the morning we left that after a month of camping all over the Canadian Rockies their campground rated the lowest. I told them the unclean toilet was a perfect example. With that their profanity began and they accused me of being cause for the dirty toilet and to "get out of here". As a retired banker I have never been confronted with such abuse in all my travels. My wife and I spent the next two nights much further away from the park entrance but in a campsite worthy of a 4-5 star rating. San-Suz-Ed was a disaster and not worth a rating higher than a two and only then for being so close to the park. We would never stay here again. We camped at San-Suz-Ed RV Park in a Motorhome.

Main drive is paved and other roads & sites are dirt. Sites are fairly level, pull through for big rigs. They have a restaurant for breakfast. It was average. Utilities worked fine except 30 amp didn't work at our site. No TV on antenna & Dish could not get through the trees. Wifi worked good but slow. Laundry is $2.25 to wash & .25 for 7 min dry. Park is 2.5 miles west of West Glacier & 14 miles east of Columbia Falls. Good location for visiting Glacier NP. Just way to much to pay for water, electric, sewer & a picnic table in my opinion. No discounts. We camped at San-Suz-Ed RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This is an expensive park, however it is Glacier National Park and it is summertime, so it is understandable. We had made a reservation some time ago, so check in was fast and efficient. They were re-coating their blacktop when we arrived, so it was a little difficult navigating through that, however the clerk and owner moved some barriers to aid in our entrance. The site was large, level and blacktopped with adequate room between sites. The air smelled of pine needles the whole time we were there. As the park was close to Highway 2 and a BNSF rail line, there was some noise, however noise doesn't bother us so that was not a problem. There is no cable, but we were able to pull in several channels with our antenna. Did not notice Wi-Fi, but we had a good Verizon signal. There is no dog run, but there is a tent camping area behind the camping area that is not used much where you can walk your dog. The bathrooms were clean, but the showers were a little on the small side. Water pressure was good and it was nice and hot. We spent several days here while touring the west side of the park and we would stay here again. We camped at San-Suz-Ed RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

We stayed in site 38 which is the best pull-through site in the campground, as there are no sites on your awning side and people in the site next to you can pull through in the opposite direction. If you don't mind a back-in, site 25 is good for the same reason. If you are visiting Glacier National Park, start early as parking at the top of the pass and other areas along the Going To The Sun Highway is tough to find later on in the day.
