We stayed here with our caravan group. The sites were excellent and our group was all together. The staff at the KOA even put all the dog owners close to the dog park! The buildings and amenities are well maintained and the flowers are spectacular! We ate at the cafe twice and both meals were excellent! We would stay here again, if in the area! We camped at West Glacier KOA in a Motorhome.

This is a KOA Resort, beautiful, well taken care of, great staff. The have a small restaurant (separate from office) that serves breakfast and dinner in the evening. It also has a Scoops Ice Cream Parlor. Lots of walking paths, took our dog on the paths several times a day. Lots of flowers, grass, trees and view of mountain. We camped at West Glacier KOA in a Motorhome.

We stayed here for two weeks in a 40-foot fifth wheel. This is the most beautiful KOA we have ever stayed in. The park has been in business for over 30 years and the owners are second generation. The park is exceptionally well organized with spaces for cabins, tents, small campers, and big rigs. The sites are very well maintained with maintenance workers cleaning each site within an hour or so after the camper leaves. There are separate pools for adults and families. The adult pool has two nice hot tubs. The grounds are beautifully landscaped with gorgeous annual and perineal flowers. They have a café, a coffee shop, and an ice cream shop. The interior roads are very easy to navigate. All roads and sites are packed gravel which did make things rather dusty. The did spray with a dust suppressant but only applied to the exterior roads. It helped but they should have done all roads. The park is just a few miles from the West Glacier entrance to the National Park. Unfortunately for us, there were several lightening strikes the evening before we arrived which sparked several wild fires. We were able to enjoy one day in the park before evacuations started and the smoke from the fires became problematic. We went to level 2 fire restrictions a few days after arriving. Had we not ordered mail to be forwarded we would have left this park early ONLY because of the smoke. Instead, we just stayed inside more. We camped at West Glacier KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Visit the National Park as much as you can. Take the full-day Red Bus tour across the entire Road to the Sun as soon as you can to familiarize yourself with the park. Do the full-day rafting trip with Glacier Rafting located in West Glacier. This is the only outfitter that is authorized to do the middle fork of the river through the park. We had a great time with a good meal at lunch time. Do the farmer's market in Columbia Falls on Thursday evening.

This is the nicest KOA we have been to. Our site was landscaped very well and offered lots of privacy. The roads can be a bit dusty but really didn't bother us. The park has a lot of room to walk your dog and an enclosure if you want to your dog run. We very much enjoyed our time here and will return in the future. I would and do recommend this KOA. We camped at West Glacier KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

Advertised as the number one KOA in the country, we had high expectations. We stayed in a standard pull-through. Gravel roads, driveways and "patio" areas, grass surrounds that. Sites are comfortably sized. Utilities are separated, pedestal and water about midway, sewer all the way to the back. The sewer in the back assures the neighbor RV doesn't have their "patio" next to your sewer, a consideration we appreciated, but it does require a longer sewer hose. Not sure why all of the utilities aren't together back there. WiFi was unusable, Verizon cellular had excellent signal. Our area of the park had good satellite access. For a park this size, two trash areas were inconvenient at best, one laundry room quite a distance from most sites. We didn't use the pools, there are 2, one for adults and one for families. The restaurant on site has good BBQ, no alcohol, and all beverages are in cans, even the ice tea. The condiments are limited, we went back to our coach for tartar sauce. Our friends enjoyed the ice cream served from 5:30 to 10. Office staff is great, store is well stocked. We camped at West Glacier KOA in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Get to Glacier NP early, it gets crowded very quickly. They aren't kidding when they say it's grizzly country. If you hike, hike prepared to run into to one, don't ask me how I know.

Overall Rating:

This is a PREMIUM or "RESORT" KOA. The rates attest to it. The sites are level. We were in a 41 ft. MH. Maneuvering is a bit tricky as folks don't know that their tow vehicles or such are blocking the road or making pulling out a major issue. We were in a DELUXE site with patio awning and table and fire ring. The sites are very CLOSE....but nicely landscaped. The staff seems competent....although it took us asking questions to get our first night reservation connected to the subsequent nights. The MAIN complaint: WiFi. Do NOT list your KOA as a RESORT and have the atrocious WiFi that we had. We were in Site 24 and it was a JOKE. You could not sign on and had no bandwidth. Even a simple task like getting emails with NO attachments or pictures was impossible. If you are TRULY a Resort....invest in the infrastructure. Very Convenient. The Red Bus Tours (not all....the longer ones) pick up and drop off there. Stock up on groceries in BEFORE you get there. The "largest" grocery in Columbia Falls is a farce. They break down prepackaged items (Snack Packs that are factory packed with three containers and sell for $4.50). They were selling them, individually for $3.50. Lots of things for the kids or grandkids to do. Would have been great with our grandkid, except they would have been totally disappointed with the WiFi. Power was load sensitive. Have a Surge and Voltage Protector. Voltage would drop to around 105 - 108 if we used two ACs and the microwave and water heater and the washer-dryer. Had to manually manage the load to keep the protector from shutting down. The HOTTER it is...the worse. We were "first in line" from the main disconnect. Distribution seems poor and would hate to have been at the end. We camped at West Glacier KOA in a Motorhome.

An absolutely beautiful RV park located near the entrance to Glacier NP. The site was large and level with great mountain views. Every part of the park was maintained and well cared for. The service was excellent, upon hooking up I noticed we were getting low voltage. I notified the front desk and maintenance was at the site within 5 minutes and had the problem solved in a couple more minutes. Breakfast was great at the cafe and the ice cream shop had lots of flavors to choose from. There was entertainment for family and children also, a magician was performing one evening. I would have given the park a 10 if the wifi wasn't so spotty. Staff did say they were working on adding better wifi to the park that week? Definitely the place to stay when visiting Glacier NP. We camped at West Glacier KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

We decided on this park as it's only a short drive to the West Glacier National Park entrance. When we drove up to the entrance, we were very impressed with the appearance. Check in was a bit busy as this is a big park. We were escorted to our site. Nice large end site. They even had benches to sit on while enjoying the fire ring. There is a lot of grassy area and also a pooch play area. Nice restaurant on site that serves breakfast and dinner, two pools, well stocked store and even an ice cream shop. We will be back and stay longer next time!! We camped at West Glacier KOA in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Take the Red Bus tour into and around Glacier Park that picks you up right at the park entrance. Worth every penny! Short drive to The Huckleberry Patch store and restaurant. Great Pie! We also went on a day long white water excursion with Glacier Raft Company. Top class outfit!

Hard not to rate a 10, but a few things with an otherwise spectacular desire. 2 miles to the NP. All buildings are top commercial quality. Enormous staff. On site restaurant serves breakfast and dinner. Surprisingly good and pet friendly. Separate area for ice cream. Store that rivals small 7/11. Best front office I have seen. Landscaping was professional and beautiful. Voltage for my Bus fluctuated low to the point the AC kept cycling - not good. To their credit they had a voltage booster on hand (which they installed at 9pm) which solved the problem but also curious why they had them on hand. They are $600 each and they had 2. As incredible the facility is all inner roads and spaces are gravel. Nice gravel, but the dust was terrible as people came and went in cars and RVs. Last nit - no recycling. For a park this professionally run that would be useful. I would definitely come back - actually I would come back to Glacier just to stay here. It is that nice. We camped at West Glacier KOA in a Motorhome.

We just went a week here and it was wonderful. Make your reservations early. We had to alter ours several times and the staff was very accommodating. We had a deluxe patio site with a concrete patio, large picnic table with an umbrella and a large gas grill. A beautiful spot with an ultra clean camping area and grounds. Couldn't have been a better experience. We camped at West Glacier KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

This park is beautifully landscaped and maintained. Every day we saw at least two maintenance staff members manicuring the grounds. Staff was friendly enough and the park had an ice cream parlor and a grill-type restaurant. One thing I really liked - we bought tickets for a Red Bustour and we were picked up right there at the KOA. Everything worked at our site and we had no complaints. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at West Glacier KOA in a Motorhome.

Wonderful park very close to Glacier National Park, but a little further from gas, stores etc. Stunning location, gravel and concrete sites with manicured lawns. Dog park very small but acres to walk your dogs on. It has a restaurant and ice cream parlor. Good store as well. Our site was on the far north side and edge of park. We had a very large grass area just for us with beautiful views. We were there for 14 days. We camped at West Glacier KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

The "road to the sun" was closed in Glacier due to heavy spring snow. So internal park access was limited. SERIOUS road construction on the east side of Glacier, so glad we stayed on the west side.
