This is small RV park within easy walking distance to just about everything in West Yellowstone. Though it was crowded and the sites were small, it wasn't difficult to back-in to our site and the neighbors were all pleasant. There was (just barely) enough space for our tow car. The office managers were polite and helpful, and even hand-delivered a package to our RV. The hookups were good though the water was under the neighbors picnic table. Sewer was at ground level. The WiFi was quite good and we could rely on it most of the time. Verizon signal was good, too, and filled in the few times the wifi was restarting. Bathrooms were small but quite clean. There was no on-site laudry, but there was a commercial laudry only a block away, so closer than some in large RV parks! We really enjoyed being able to walk everywhere, so would likely stay here again. We camped at Hideaway RV Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

We ate at the Buffalo Bar (fair-to-good) and the Slippery Otter (fair-to-good). There are a lot of tourist places, all are expensive for what you get. The town has two markets, and both are actually quite good. We would recommend eating in your RV! Obviously, Yellowstone is the star attraction and it is phenomenal. Grand Teton National Parks is 2.5 hours one-way, so we only went down there once, but it was worth doing the long drive (once, anyway).

The "park" is basically just a lot that has spaces for RV's. Very tight. Cable, was about 5 channels. Has internet. The only reason to stay here is the proximity to the Yellowstone gate, about .06 miles. No grass, no dog run. We camped at Hideaway RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

They were one of few open in early may. The hosts were very nice. They give free drink tokens for the nearby bar, but that doesn't offset the outrageous price. Small lot, tight spaces. Clean, heated restroom and shower. We camped at Hideaway RV Campground in a Motorhome.

West Yellowstone is a cute tourist trap. As with most towns next to a national park, expect high prices for the basics.

The park is a great value for the area, however there is a reason it is so cheap. The sites are fit in wherever the owners thought they could squeeze in another space. We had barely enough room to back in our 33' motorhome and put out our slides. The other sites were VERY close as was the building housing the restrooms, showers and some apartments. We couldn't hookup to the free cable and when we asked we were told our site didn't have cable. The park managers proceeded to put a triple splitter on the cable access so that three sites shared one cable line. The wifi was generally not accessible. The park managers seem to have great difficulty scheduling the sites and forced our friends and other campers to change sites frequently. We would not stay here again. We camped at Hideaway RV Campground in a Motorhome.

Very small rv park (15 sites maybe on an eighth of a corner city lot) in quiet part of town, but close in to everything. New managers are making improvements (landscaping, new gravel, picnic tables). Sites are gravel, basic and tight but maneuverable. Happy with our site, #5. Quite level, next to & backed up against fence with windbreak, enough space for our slides and to park tow vehicle. Couple of free drink tokens at Buffalo Bar given at check-in. Very nice staff. Great place to base out of for visiting Yellowstone. Good wi-fi & 12 cable channels. Would stay again. We camped at Hideaway RV Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Obviously Yellowstone Park is the draw to stay here. Town has 2 supermarkets, several good restaurants. We tried Buckaroo Bills which is a novel dining experience, booths are covered chuck wagon; and the Buffalo Bar is decorated with wildlife heads and a huge buffalo; both have good food at reasonable prices.

We had reservations and a confirmation for a pull thru spot for three nights for a 28 foot toy hauler. When we arrived we were told that we would have to use a back in spot that did not accommodate our toy hauler and that the next day we would have to move into an even tighter space. Excuses were made that the previous work camper had messed reservations up. After haggling a bit, the workers on duty moved us into the spot that we would have had to move into on day 2. In order to load and/or unload our trike, we had to totally unhook and move from our assigned spot and go to an empty lot. The spaces are so tiny and extremely tight and do not even allow for a vehicle to be parked with the bumper pull trailer. I asked for and was given the owners information. I made contact with him. He did apologize for the error but did nothing to rectify or make good the situation. He made the comment that everyone was human and mistakes are made, which I agree with. I told him that I understood that but due to the fact that promised and confirmed services were not received I would be posting negatively. He got very irate and called me names. I thanked him for taking the call and hang up. We will NEVER come back to this rv park and do not recommend it to anyone that has a trailer. We camped at Hideaway RV Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Very interesting campground. Right in the city of West Yellowstone. Walking distance from town. Not very big, we pulled in and our site was actually the place we pulled into, right beside the host RV. Very tight. We camped at Hideaway RV Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Walking distance from downtown West Yellowstone which was a very pleasant town. And, only 15 min from the West entrance of Yellowstone National Park. Unfortunately one of the Yellowstone roads was closed which made going to Teton National Park an all day trip. The host's dog was on a chain but outside and crawled under our trailer and kept clanging her chain on our steps. They were not there, and I don't mess with strange dogs. Didn't like that.

This is a very small RV park at the north side of West Yellowstone. It's really just a large, gravel parking area on a corner lot in a mostly residential area but we enjoyed our stay here. The restrooms/showers are small and tight to maneuver in but the hosts keep them spotless. You can almost set your watch by their cleaning schedule. Really, the only issue we had was the locals driving way too fast down the gravel alley next to the park and kicking up dust. You really can't fault the RV park for that. The hosts were exceptionally friendly and helpful. We really liked it here, especially after our experience at another RV park across town. We will be back next time we visit Yellowstone. We camped at Hideaway RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

This little pocket park is basically the same since last visit 5 years ago but has a new owner and more traffic since the town "suburbs" have grown down Electric street. Lots of dust from the gravel alley road on corner. Our back-in site had no shade and all the dust, but that's what $35 gets in West Yellowstone. The 2 workamper hosts were very friendly and helpful. Easy walk or bike ride to town attractions: don't miss the bears and wolves. Cable TV is now just 12 channels. Full hookups were fine. But Verizon MiFi didn't work, so used slow park Wi-Fi. VZ cell was OK. Some excitement when no hot showers due to zero park propane, and then the power happened to cut off. Would still return, and hope for a better site. Popular place. We camped at Hideaway RV Campground in a Motorhome.

What a gem, this is a delightful campground. Very small so would recommend booking in advance. Lovely camp hosts, small patio area and picnic table, sites are rather narrow but not a big problem. Cable TV and excellent Wi-Fi/Internet. Only 1 mile from NP entrance and walking distance into the town. The big plus is the price which is very reasonable compared to other campgrounds in the Yellowstone area who are taking advantage of the tourists visiting the park. We hope the owners will not follow suit but stand apart. We certainly recommend, we loved our stay here. We camped at Hideaway RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

We, 3 couples in 3 trailers stayed here an entire week while exploring Yellowstone. I made reservations early, by phone, and we had 3 adjoining sites. Yes, its a gravel lot, and yes it is small and right in town. But overall the stay was very pleasant. We did have a few shade trees, the bathrooms were spotless and the dogs were welcome. There was a little traffic on the side road, apartment buildings behind us, but the neighbors were quiet. Most folks, like us, took off for the park all day and returned in the evening. The hosts were friendly and helpful, everything in town is close and we were given a map and directions. If you just want a quiet place to park and go explore this is the park for you. If you want manicured lawns and a swimming pool don't come. We camped at Hideaway RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

We enjoyed this small, friendly park. The sites were small but manageable. Hosts very friendly & helpful; very good Verizon service. The bathrooms were small but clean, and the location was excellent -- you could walk or bicycle anywhere in town. We camped at Hideaway RV Campground in a Motorhome.

What a massive disappointment as this park has come so highly recommended. We'd been looking forward to a trip here for months. We sent a reservation request via the form on their website for 9/3 or 9/4 for a week stay. They gave us dates and I responded to the email saying I would be calling. When we finally got a call to go through 30 minutes later (kept getting disconnected prior to someone answering), they did not honor the dates sent in the email. They said they do not do reservations via email for security reasons yet they have a reservation form online. I am pretty sure I won't ever be camping here: what a shame. We camped at Hideaway RV Campground in a Travel Trailer.
