Check in is at the Brandin' Iron Motel. This park has the narrowest sites of any park we have ever stayed in. We could not back in to our site due to a low tree limb. We had to pull in(& back out) over the curb from the street. Our site(#4) only had 30 amp service. We were usually able to park on the street directly behind our site. Utility connections were convenient & worked fine. Cable tv had 15 channels, but no NBC. Wifi was very unreliable at our site, but worked well in or near the lobby of the Brandin' Iron Motel. Location was very convenient to downtown. Although this seems to be the most reasonably priced park in town, I'm not sure I would return. We camped at Pony Express Motel and RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Although we have been in West Yellowstone in recent years, we have not stayed here since 2014. See my August 2014 and 2013 reviews for a more detailed description of this park. This park is, by far, the cheapest of the in town parks. As many have noted, this is a small, very tight parking lot RV park. You check in at Branding Iron Motel. If you have a big rig (over 35'), you probably won't want to stay here. There is no place in the park for toads - you must park them on the street. The cable TV is minimal but you may be able to get satellite reception. The Wi-Fi connection was up and down. The bathrooms are older, clean, and adequate for a park this size. This place is fine as long as your rig fits and you are not paranoid about security (half the sites abut the street/sidewalk). There are no recreational amenities or recycling. We camped at Pony Express Motel and RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is a parking lot used for RV parking. We didn't feel comfortable leaving anything out and locked everything up whenever we leave the rig. They only have 50 AMP electric connection and a step-down connector is necessary as we only require 30 AMP. The wifi connection is very good. We consider the daily rate to be on the high side as there is no extra amenity except the standard but their rate is still the most favorable for this area. We camped at Pony Express Motel and RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

The motel is their primary business (Brandin' Iron Inn), so no attention is paid to the RV sites. They are very tight...tow vehicle has to be parked on the street. Some sites have picnic tables, some don't. They really can't fit anywhere. WiFi knocks you out frequently. Cable has 9 channels (no NBC or Fox). They said there should be 20, but can't figure out why there's only 9. The good thing, they're only a block from downtown. We camped at Pony Express Motel and RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

The previous review mentioned about standing water after rain. We had a "gully washer" while we were there and I walked around the next morning. There were puddles. Most were in the drive area between the rows. The only two impacting sites were site 4 & 11 had their back stabilizer jacks in a puddle. So not a terrible deal in my perspective.

The park is just a gravel area with hookups. Some hookups are 50A only. They say they can supply adapters if needed but we had one. The sites work best for small to medium sized RVs. The best part of the park is that it is right next to the downtown area of shops and restaurants, all within 1-3 blocks.

While this is the Pony Express RV Park, you check in at the Branding Iron Motel, not the Pony Express Motel across the street. Also, they want you to check out as well. We camped at Pony Express Motel and RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is literally a gravel/sandy parking lot at the back of the Branding Iron motel. It rained just before arrival and the space that had been assigned to us was under water. We were fortunately to be able to move to another spot. After another heavy rain almost the entire lot was under water. It was a mess. We stayed here only because it was convenient for the Yellowstone tour that picks up at the hotel. We would not stay here again. We camped at Pony Express Motel and RV Park in a Motorhome.

Once again we stayed here instead of one of the more expensive, better parks in town. See my previous review of August 2013. We had a gravel, level pull-through with limited (10 channel) cable TV. We lost the Internet connection in the evening after another RV was placed between us and the antenna on the motel. Fortunately, we got it back when that RV left the next day. We lost it again the second evening when another RV was out in that same spot. So, the Internet can be problematic. Also, the cost is $5 more than last year. We camped at Pony Express Motel and RV Park in a Motorhome.

I have been here twice in recent years and have always been satisfied with the and facilities and services. However, giving this park a 10 as a previous reviewer did last October is ludicrous. Then again, he gives just about every park he goes to a 10. I've been here before and have always been satisfied with the service and facilities. We stayed here for four days including the final full weekend of August. Compared to the other 3 parks in town, we saved between $20 and $75 by staying here. I have stayed at 2 of the other 3 in town parks, and I feel their higher cost is not worth their being "better" parks. We had a Level, FHU, pull-through site with minimal cable TV (it is supposed to be 20+ channels but we cold only get 5), and OK WIFI at site. We were able to get roof satellite reception so the cable deficiency was no problem. Maybe half the sites appear to be satellite friendly. This is a unattractive, gravel lot on a motel property. Anything over 35' will have problems fitting in the sites and toads must be parked on the street. The laundry and bathhouse are old but OK. Big rigs and folks paranoid about "security" should avoid this park. Like the other parks, it is within walking distance of everything in town. However, this park is the closest to the center of town. We camped at Pony Express Motel and RV Park in a Motorhome.

Was here at end of season and water and sewer hookups were shut down. Decent place for a night or two and very reasonable this time of year so many other ones are closed. I would stay here again. Wi-Fi is good and my Verizon Hot Spot also works. We camped at Pony Express Motel and RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

The RV park is actually behind the Brandin Iron Inn, which is right in town, so very convenient for shopping, dinning, and going into Yellowstone Park. I fully support hotels/motels that allow RV's to camp on their property. The staff in the hotel were very friendly and helpful, treated us like a regular guest. The sites are close together, but does have full hookup, some have picnic tables. We camped at Pony Express Motel and RV Park in a Motorhome.

Small unpretentious little area behind the motel. Very low key, comfortable and quiet. Not for really big rigs but we liked it because the management was very nice and helpful, and the location was beside the park perimiter, away from the crowds but walking distance to restaurants, etc. We camped at Pony Express Motel and RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Good location. The sites are narrow with trees on both sides. It took a lot of work so we could use our three slideouts. We had to park our car on the street since it would not fit on the site. I will look for another park next time we visit. We camped at Pony Express Motel and RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is our second year in a row staying here heading west after YNP. Again, it met our needs. It will probably not meet your needs especially if your unit is large (over 32' or towing) or you want a "nice" park to be in. We camped at Pony Express Motel and RV Park in a Motorhome.

Don't be fooled by the picture and info on their website. This is just a dumpy gravel parking lot behind a motel. RVs are packed in side by side, and your sewer hookup can be next to the neighbor's front door. Half the pull-thrus are over the sidewalk and only if it's not blocked by street parking. Noisy trucks rumble by at night, and area doesn't look safe. It is fairly close to town and the tourist traps. Bathrooms are clean once, then a mess rest of the day. Forget the laundry room. No host on site and no one from motel office comes over; they don't care. This place gets 2 stars only because it offers "free" wifi and cable tv. Look for a nicer place, avoid this one if you can. Hey folks, there is a reason this place is almost $20 cheaper than all the other area parks. It met our needs (FHU, cable, and WIFI) perfectly for one night before heading west. As noted, it is small, unappealing, and larger RVs and/or those with toads probably should not even attempt to stay here. We camped at Pony Express Motel and RV Park in a Motorhome.
