First rate RV park/resort. Great sites with paved roadways, gravel sites with grass all around. Beautiful setting in the heart of West Yellowstone. We camped at Yellowstone Grizzly RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

This is the best campground we have stayed in on this 3 month trip. Sites are well spaced with paved pad for picnic table and chairs. Parking area for RV is gravel with a well cut grass area. All hook-ups worked prefect and power was good. Staff was great at check-in and explained the town features and sites with a map. Did not use washroom but did look in and showers were very clean. Park is laid out well with nice paved streets. Walking trails in National Forest behind park also a area to walk your dogs. Best park in town and is within walking distance to everything and short distance from entrance to Yellowstone. We camped at Yellowstone Grizzly RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

This is a really nice, clean RV park at the entrance to Yellowstone. It's walking distance to town so that we could go into town for dinner without moving the rig. Nice dog walking area in the back that is actually part of the National Park. The spaces are good size and there's a fair amount of nice green lawn separating them and a picnic table. It's expensive, but so is everywhere else around here and I'd rather pay a bit more for a nice place with a great location. The check in was the fastest and most professional that I've found in five months on the road full time. There are two small buildings in different parts of the park with restrooms, showers, and laundry rooms. I used one for laundry but there were only two washers and dryers. If you need to do more than two loads, or they are being used, I'd suggest going to the main building. The laundry room there is much larger. At $2 per load for the wash it was a bit spendy, but the dryers were 25 cents for 10 minutes so you could use just as much as you needed which is better than some places where it's a buck and a half even if you only need another 10 minutes or so. I would suggest reservations. I think this place pretty much fills up every night during the season. There's free wi-fi too but with four bars on Verizon and a bunch of data left this month I didn't even bother with it. :) We would definitely stay again. We camped at Yellowstone Grizzly RV Park in a Truck Camper.

Tips for other Campers:

Had an excellent meal at the Three Bears Restaurant about four blocks from the park in town. Delicious prime rib and buffalo tips. Not bad prices either for a resort area and good service.

Very clean beautiful kept grass, there are paved new roads, only the site where the RV is parked is gravel. There is a paved patio and a lot of grass on both sides.

There are pull-throughs in the "middle" of the park, and back ins around the periphery. We had a "standard" back in which meant that we needed to park our truck in the over flow parking. Premium back in specifically includes space for your truck too.

Our 5th wheel is 31ft and when we backed enough into the spot to fit the truck as well, our electric cord didn't reach, extension cord would have solved it but we didn't have.

Wifi, don't bother, doesn't work. We camped at Yellowstone Grizzly RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

The town is very clean and relatively quite. Few nice restaurants: Madriz great great Spanish food, also Branch that will have some unique GF and vegetarian dishes.

Drive even just a little bit towards Jackson WY but NOT through Yellowstone, rather through Idaho, the scenery is outstanding!!!

Nice facility. Fairly spacious sits. Restrooms clean BUT you'd think for $60.00 a night, they could keep the hand dryers working....e.g., no hot air. The staff, at checking, asks more inane questions than necessary and, when "challenged" by external phone calls, they seem to become flustered.

For $60.00 a night, I'd expect a concrete slab, not gravel! We camped at Yellowstone Grizzly RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Very nice park that is very well maintained. I originally booked this site (120) back in May for our 5th wheel. Well we ended up getting a MH so my selection site wasn't as I had planned, but it worked out. The space is only about 45' unless you run the rear tires all the way to the grass. I didn't want the sprinklers hitting the coach so it didn't give much room for the toad. On the driver side a tree was in the way so I had to park it right along the grass on the passenger side which meant stepping out onto wet grass the entire week. Park has some really nice grass but ours was wet the entire week (no rain), too much water IMO.

Park does have some really nice big rig sites that I wish I had reserved. Had no problem other than the wet grass. I did notice a couple of bigger 5th wheels had to run over grass areas to make their turns when leaving the park. We camped at Yellowstone Grizzly RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Let me just say this, this is a nice RV park, but it is just grossly overpriced. I would rather stay in the national park, but because of our length and having an enclosed car trailer for the car show, we chose to stay in a privately owned park. Convenience has a price, and we definitely paid for it here. This park is very convenient to the city of West Yellowstone and very convenient to the west entrance of Yellowstone National Park. Will I stay here again? Probably. Will I complain? Yes. Will I degrade the park? No. It's just too expensive! If cost has no boundaries, then you will enjoy this park. We had a back in site and our 40' motorhome and tow car barely fit. The width of our site was good but the length was tight. The sewer line need 2- 20' ft hose to reach. The park is very well maintained and the roads and sites are well kept. The staff is friendly and helpful. We where there for 5 nights and it was full every night. It would be nice if they added a pool, as the park is filled with kids. Great location and we will return. We camped at Yellowstone Grizzly RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

We visited Lake Hedgen and the campground there is very nice, we bought a day pass and the grandkids really enjoyed it. Saw someone cleaning a 18-20" trout supposed to be a great fishing lake. It is about 15 miles to Yellowstone NP. A great break from the crowds of the NP.

Probably the best RV park in the area. Very well run and maintained. Immaculate rest rooms and showers. Nicely landscaped, good spacing of sites. Very clean patio with nice picnic table. Staff seems attentive to guests needs. Pricey but it is in a premier location. For this money you would think there would be a swimming pool :) Abuts NFS land with great trails for dog walking. No fires per town ordinance. Wife saw wolf behind the park within minutes of landing so be aware of surroundings. We camped at Yellowstone Grizzly RV Park in a Motorhome.

Great clean park next to west entrance to Yellowstone. Back in sites are a bit short, or you will need extensions for sewer/power/water. We ended up having to put my truck in the parking lot because my power cord would fit with the trailer and truck backed in. In order to get my 27' RV and truck on the site I was too far away from power source. Internet is useless. Cable only has a few channels and we had issues with it. It's really A nice park just a bit expensive for what you get. The location is awesome. We camped at Yellowstone Grizzly RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

This is our 2nd stay here. This is an excellent, clean, spacious RV park. Our site was a pull-thru, FHU, gravel, and level. The WiFi worked well most of the time with a few slow downs. Cable didn't have a lot of channels, but worked well. There are plenty of laundry rooms, and they were clean. Kid friendly with a nice playground area. Within walking distance to town. We would stay here again. We camped at Yellowstone Grizzly RV Park in a Motorhome.

2nd stay here. Close to Yellowstone NP entrance, but still 20 or more miles (one way) from major park attractions. WiFi and Cable services are marginal and for 1) this class of RV Park/Resort and 2) what guests are paying SHOULD be better. If I couldn't get a f/u reservation on the Park, I would stay here again. We are in a 44 foot motor home towing a jeep. There was plenty of room to pull through. Good water pressure. Great site, but watch out for the tree limbs when you open the slides. Gravel, not pavement. The exit and entry are reversed so it's a little tricky. Not much to do in the town, but it is right by the entrance to West Yellowstone. Large park with lots of in and out movement. We had new neighbors almost every day of our 6 day stay. The staff was great, helpful and informative. They even have a lady who will walk your dog while you are out touring. They offer free coffee, tea and hot chocolate in the morning and it is much appreciated by all the guests. It backs up to the national forest with lots of walking trails for people and dogs. Nice store with souvenir items and supplies. A short walk into town. Sites were gravel with grassy areas and trees at most sites. We camped at Yellowstone Grizzly RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

If this is your first visit, take the Buffalo Bus tours. They will pick up at the campground and show you things you'd never see on your own. We took both the Upper and Lower Loop tours and while a full day on a bus was tiring, we know we wouldn't have seen as much on driving our own car.

Visit the Bear and Wolf Discovery Center in town.

Have dinner at Bullwinkle's. I think it's the oldest restaurant in town and very good.

I seldom ever give a perfect high score on any survey; this time, it was genuinely earned. This is the kind of RV park that others park owners should visit just to see what it looks like when it is done correctly.

The park was clean; not just the bathroom/showers...the entire park! The streets, fencing, buildings were in excellent shape. My family felt safe. Yes; it was the most expensive RV park for this entire trip...honestly, I would have gladly paid more.

We tried to extend our stay by two more days, we loved it that much. But, this was peak-season and no one was canceling their reservations.

Plan your reservations well in advance with this place; clearly this park is 100% booked most of the busy season.

We will most definitely stay here again. Highest recommendations! We camped at Yellowstone Grizzly RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

West Yellowstone, Idaho is a very nice small town for tourist. Plenty of restaurants, shopping, fuel, etc. And the entrance to the national park is on the east side of town.
