Wonderful, nicely maintained campground as about as close to west entrance of Yellowstone that you can get. Of course, you pay for the amenities and location, so on the pricey side. Smooth efficient check in, paved streets and level gravel sites (though I saw a few rigs using blocking), and adequate maneuverability. Sites fairly close to each other, but not terribly so. Site barely fit my RV and truck, and they warn that they will assess a $50 fee if your rig or truck stick out into the roadway. Another somewhat irksome thing was that they only give free Wi-Fi access to 2 devices per site, and charge for any additional ones. I can see that as a way to try to incentivize folks from not overloading their bandwidth, but for a week-long stay, choosing between phones and tablets to get on Wi-Fi was annoying. On other hand, must have been effective, since their Wi-Fi did work well. Cable TV provided, but ours was often snowy to point of being unusable. Verizon signal good. Great, clean bathroom, shower, and laundry facilities, and a well-stocked camp store. They had a trail that could be used for dog walking very close to our site that led right into the adjacent National Forest, which was nice. Despite the few drawbacks and high cost, would probably stay again next time we come back to Yellowstone. We camped at Yellowstone Grizzly RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

The park is extremely well kept. In fact to an extreme. Staff are very nice and pleasant. Great location, close to town but not to close. Big enough that if your planning a last minute need to reserve they seem to be able to accommodate you. There are lots of rules so you will want to pay attention when checking in. Lawn sprinklers seem to be a problem for them so if you break one its $50.00. WIFI is pretty much useless if your in the back of the park, typical though. My reason for an 8 is we think the value does not match the price they ask. It feels as if they are charging to much. We have stayed in parks of equal or better and have paid less. Of course it is next to Americas first National Park so I guess the owners can just about charge anything they want. We camped at Yellowstone Grizzly RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

If you're visiting Yellowstone National Park you can't get any more convenient than this RV park as it's located just outside the entrance. It is located on the edge of town and adjacent to a natural forest on 2 sides. There are lots of mature trees between sites in the older section, but sites 270 and above are newer so the landscaping is smaller. The shrubs and grassy area between sites is watered nightly, so everything is very lush and green. Roads are paved and easy to navigate even for big rigs. I don't know what site one of the previous reviewers stayed in, but most of the sites are spacious and level. Our Dish satellite worked fine, but you do need to find a spot to shoot between the trees. They offer free cable & Wifi, though it was very slow at times. We're fairly picky about noise, and that is NO issue here...very quiet. Our only complaint is that it is WAY expensive for providing no amenities (pool, spa, etc.). I guess they figure you'll pay that much to be right outside the park entrance. We camped at Yellowstone Grizzly RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Pretty, well-maintained park with level, gravel sites, patios, and grassy yards. Not a lot of extra amenities such as a pool or dog park, but we were here for Yellowstone NP. The WiFi worked pretty well and we had 4 bars 4G on ATT. We had no problem connecting our satellite. The lady who checked us in was extremely helpful. We camped at Yellowstone Grizzly RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

There's a visitor information center close by with a desk manned by park rangers. The ranger we talked to gave us a lot of great information including can't-miss sites, road construction, and ranger talks. He really helped us plan our days in Yellowstone.

A very nice RV park in a beautiful area. Overall everything about this park was great. Bathrooms were clean and all facilities were well maintained. Internet became unusable around 5PM as that was when everyone returned from their day in Yellowstone. But overall that was just a minor inconvenience in what was a wonderful stay. Free cappuccino in the morning at the front office was a nice touch. We camped at Yellowstone Grizzly RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Start your visit at the visitors center in West Yellowstone. Lots of information about Yellowstone and the surrounding area. The museum in West Yellowstone is well worth a visit to see how visitors arrrived around the turn of the century and ventered into the Park by horse drawn carriage. There are 2 small grocery stores in the city. Prices really weren't bad and they had a good selection. We loved Wild West pizza. Delicious pizza and good prices. Diesel is readily available in the city.

Very nice park; close to Yellowstone National Park West entrance, and town of West Yellowstone attractions. Good paved roads, roomy gravel sites with grass and trees. Cable TV and working WiFi. National Forest land borders park on two sides, where my dogs and I enjoyed walking the trails. If they also had a fenced dog park, I'd give them a "10." We would definitely stay here again. We have stayed here many times and the staff is great! The shower houses are always clean and you are close to Yellowstone National Park. The best sites are usually full of Class A rigs, but the spacing is much better in those sites! No fires here, because the town won't allow them. Sites are level, which is always great! We will be back! We camped at Yellowstone Grizzly RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

We have stayed at Yellowstone Grizzly RV on two different occasions as a group. once in 2010 and again in 2106. The park is the nicest park in the Yellowstone area and it improved from 2010 to 2016 because they added a pavilion for use by groups. The pavilion has sliding doors so it can be used in both hot weather with them open and cold weather by closing the doors. The sites are mostly crushed rock and are fairly level. There are trees (more than one on each site) fairly close to each pad and some of our group with larger trailers had to jockey back and forth some to be able to get all their slides out. The staff was very accommodating with any request we had. We camped at Yellowstone Grizzly RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

In the older section south of the offices. The back in space was tight for our 34 ft 5th wheel. We had the jockey back and forth to squeeze in between a couple of trees, which had no purpose other than aesthetics. Ample room for our slide outs. No place to park our tow vehicle so off to the overflow parking site, a short walk but in rainy conditions a pain. Pull throughs looked to have ample room for all types of RV's. As well as did the newer parking sections west of the offices. During cold weather, we HAD to disconnect the water hose each night and, of course, reconnect it in the mornings or pay a $50 fee for each time we failed to do so. They've got to get a handle on this issue . It's definitely not customer friendly. We camped at Yellowstone Grizzly RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This park is pricey, but worth it if you can't get a Yellowstone campground. The park is within easy proximity to all stores and restaurants in West Yellowstone, and it is just a few blocks from the Park's west gate. It is extremely clean with nicely groomed, level sites, well positioned utilities, and a nice grassy area with a patio and picnic table. We have a 40' fifth wheel and barely had enough room to park our truck. There were several overflow parking spots very nearby. Bathrooms, showers and laundry were spotless, spacious and modern. AT&T cell service was barely adequate. We were not able to get much use out of the camp WIFI service. The staff was very helpful and gave us a lot of information about local sights and services. We used our DISH satellite for our usual shows, as well as the camp cable for local channels. We camped at Yellowstone Grizzly RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Loved this place....one of the nicest we've ever been. Would give it a 10 except for how expensive it is. Staff is very nice, grounds are spotless, spacious sites with beautiful grass. Great trails for walking dogs behind campground. Easy walk to town. Close to west entrance to YNP. We were there after Labor Day and it was still full. We decided to stay here at this price because it was a very special trip. Would love to stay again but will check out less expensive places next time. Interior roads were paved with an excellent check-in staging area. Sites had level gravel pads with very good spacing and utilities on the correct side. Sites had picnic table and grassy area around the pad. Sprinklers watered grass at night. Restrooms and laundry were very clean and the staff was effecient and friendly. They have no recycling. Noise is low and security is good. WiFi is OK near the office area, but very weak out in the CG. Verizon Cell signal was VG. The CG is right in the town of West Yellowstone within a few blocks walk to grocery and NP Visitors Center and other attractions. We camped at Yellowstone Grizzly RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

If you like hiking, get the REI app. Also the NP Visitor Centers have hike maps for each of the major areas. Also the Yellowstone stores have a $9 laminated guide with most of the animals you might see in the park. Best viewing is early morning or 2 hours before sunset.

This is one of the nicest parks we have ever stayed in. We had the standard pull thru and take my word it is plenty nice. We had friends that turned their camper around facing ours and we had a great time.
All paved streets, well landscaped, just beautiful. Sites are easy in and our pull through. A little close but adequate.
WiFi and phones OK. Restrooms, showers, and laundry - super clean!
Close walk to town if you want and the West Park Entrance is about 1 mile away.
The only negative I have Saturday morning we were sitting outside with friends and their lawnmower came around. This thing is like a Big Union Pacific locomotive and just as loud. I went to the desk and complained and they informed me they cut grass everyday. The girl said she would send the manager to see me but, she never showed. I could understand during the week but, the weekend?
If I had been playing music as loud as the lawnmower I am sure the Police would have been called.
We still enjoyed the campground in spite of the one incident. We camped at Yellowstone Grizzly RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Everything in the Yellowstone area is expensive, so we just had to bite the bullet and pay for the expensive RV parks in this area. This park is really nice though and we felt it was worth it. The landscaping is beautiful, and they have a nice playground for the kids. We had a premium back-in site so we had a grassy area behind us that backed up to woods which gave us a little bit of privacy. It is walking distance to the cute town of West Yellowstone which has lots to do, and only a few minutes to the west entrance to Yellowstone. Verizon 4G coverage was excellent here.
