This is a very quiet campground with easy access interior roads and level sites. The staff could not have been nicer and accommodating to us. We stopped over after closing hours for some ice cream treats ($.75) and the campground host saw us and came over and opened the office to serve us. The sites were open, with grass lawns between each. We camped at Conestoga Campground / Smith River Valley in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

There are not many facilities in White Sulfur Springs. There are two very small grocery stores that offer the basics.

Ask about the Castle Town, a deserted town, and the Charles M Bair Museum and home. Both are fun to visit. Castle Town is reached via a gravel road that we took in a Ford Focus. Due to road conditions, we were ready to turn around when we found it. About 5 miles past the "No Trespassing" sign.

The staff were incredibly helpful. WiFi was spotty. The site we had was spacious and the scenery from our front window was awesome. We had a major thunderstorm each night--it was great watching the lightening!! We camped at Conestoga Campground / Smith River Valley in a Motorhome.

This park was a welcomed surprise at the end of a long day of traveling. Quiet campground was well maintained and within a short drive to town. No ice, but gas stations in town have it. Laundry had four washers and dryers. They could use a few more when the park is crowded. Friendly staff. Large pull through lots with some full hookups and a dump station. Picnic tables at each site. GOOD WIFI that is free. Clean bathrooms. Book exchange and free use of DVD's for 24 hrs. Rec room with large tables to play cards, work on puzzles, etc. Good water pressure. Small pond for fishing. $6 for each fish caught. No catch and release. Nice playground for children. I would stay here again. We camped at Conestoga Campground / Smith River Valley in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Town is close by. Good barber, but hairstylist stays booked up. Restaurants are on the pricey side. Grocery store in town is reasonably priced. There is a reservoir not too far away with rainbow trout.

This is an exceptional RV park and campground for the money. Though the camping spots are a tad close, the price is very reasonable, Internet is quite strong, and the park is very clean. Staff is very friendly, too. I would recommend this park to anyone. Of course, because of its value, it is also quite possibly full. Do not expect to just show up in the summer and have a spot. Be sure to call ahead.

Anyone driving between Yellowstone National Park and Glacier National Park on Highway 89 should consider spending one night in White Sulphur Springs. And if you have a RV this is the place to do it. We camped at Conestoga Campground / Smith River Valley in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Women should check out Red Ants Pants. Great local craft brewery in town, too. Best breakfast in at the Branding Iron Cafe. They also serve an exceptional lunch and dinner, too. If in town during the summer on a Wednesday be sure to visit the Hutterite's farmer market in the Spa parking lot. Get the zucchini bread. The Castle Museum in town is neat, as is the Bair Ranch Museum in nearby Martinsdale.

Super friendly staff. Very clean restrooms and a well-maintained facility. Pretty RV park with great views of Castle Mountain and the Belt Mountains. Restrooms and showers are spacious, hot, and pristine. Park is carefully kept up outside. The staff and owners here are wonderful people who go out of their way to provide activities and help. The town is small, but within easy striking distance (and beautiful drive) of Helena, Great Falls, and Bozeman.

We came to White Sulphur Springs over the 4th of July and the town puts on a great show for the holiday with fireworks, runs/races, a parade, and ranch rodeo. Worth stopping by if for nothing else than to get a Montana small-town feel. We camped at Conestoga Campground / Smith River Valley in a Travel Trailer.

Very nice people as all previous reviews remarked about. We visited the geothermal hot springs pool at the motel, worth the money: $7.00 for the soak time. This RV park is old but very clean and cute. We would return. See previous reviews for more information. We camped at Conestoga Campground / Smith River Valley in a Fifth Wheel.

A little oasis. We stayed overnight in this park on our way to Glacier NP. It was much nicer than expected, a little oasis after a mountainous drive. It is very clean and well maintained. Sites were plenty large, good satellite reception. The views are spectacular and allowed a gorgeous sunset view right through our front window. The campground hosts were extremely friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Conestoga Campground / Smith River Valley in a Motorhome.

This is a pretty neat place - wasn't expecting something this nice in such a remote location. Few blocks west of the main route through town, so it is quiet. Verizon services worked excellent. White crushed rock for drive and sites - but it is well maintained so I am good with that. Hosts are superb. Ice cream social in the evening. I am impressed with this place and would seek it out again if in the area. We camped at Conestoga Campground / Smith River Valley in a Motorhome.

If ever in this area again, we would definitely stay here. Not just because there isn't much else to choose from, but because it has the nicest/friendliest owners and people working for them, a very clean little park, with the best wi-fi we've encountered in a long time. This park sells memberships to Coast to Coast & RPI, so that was one of the reasons for our stay here, and we took advantage of the special rate for 2 nights to hear about these memberships and I can say that there was no pressure to buy, just gave us a lot of info to think about and if interested, they were there to take care of it for us. Nice little MT made gift shop in the office as well. Sites were average in size I'd say. Trees are small so not a lot of shade but for a few nights it was fine. We will definitely be back to this park when in MT again. We camped at Conestoga Campground / Smith River Valley in a Motorhome.

Surprise. The CG is located just off MT-12, close to 9 hole golf. Roads and sites are gravel and there are grass buffers between sites. Utilities are well situated. Some sites are full hook-ups, others not, and the dump station is convenient. There is a hot springs spa nearby, at the Motel, open to the public. Wed. and Sat. at 7PM there is an ice cream social, informal sales pitch for the membership CG. Lots of fun. There is considerable history in the valley surrounding White Sulphur Springs, worth the trip. CG Wi-Fi is sketchy at best, our JETPAK pulled a 4 bar, 4G signal. Cell phones are haphazard. HDTV reception mostly depends on the intensity of the smoke from the wildfires in the NW. We enjoyed our stay here and would return when in the area. We camped at Conestoga Campground / Smith River Valley in a Fifth Wheel.

Bair Ranch and Museum, Northern Pacific RR artifacts, Ringling Bros home, and "The Castle" are worth the time and effort. Local amenities are sparse but essentials can be found.

Rate reflected is because this is out " home park"
Talk about a little gem, in the middle of nowhere! The host and hostess, and all the park staff are just wonderful.
There is a small pond on the property, and some little struggling trees. Plenty of grass, and soooo quiet.
We were so pleased with this park, we stayed an extra couple of days. Easy maneuvering our 35' fifth wheel, and long bed dually through the park. Rooftop satellite friendly. Park wi if worked very well, as did our AT&at and Verizon cell phones.
We were invited to the Wednesday night ice cream social. The ice cream was fantastic, as was the company. I do believe everyone staying in the park was there.
What a fun little park, in such a beautiful area. We will definitely return. We camped at Conestoga Campground / Smith River Valley in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

White Sulfur Springs is such a cute little town, with so much history. There are 3 geocaches in the immediate area, as well as one in the park. The little grocery store in town had some very reasonable prices.

We are currently in our second night at Conestoga RV Park. It is every bit as nice as the previous reviewers have said. Our site is level, with wonderful views in all directions. The laundry and washrooms are clean. People are friendly and helpful. There's not a lot to the town of White Sulphur Springs, but we would definitely stay at Conestoga again next time we pass through this area. Stopped here for a couple nights on my way down US 89 from Glacier to Yellowstone. Nice staff. Spacious layout, with lots of grass. Young trees but too young to provide any real shade. Did not use showers or laundry facilities. If you want to spend time in this area, highly recommend this park. We camped at Conestoga Campground / Smith River Valley in a Travel Trailer.
