No mature trees but trees and lilac bushes are being cultivated. Office staff was friendly on check in and advised about available discounts with local merchants. Montana is in a drought so the grass is very dry. We camped at Conestoga Campground / Smith River Valley in a Fifth Wheel.

Conestoga Campground was a nice stopover for us. Friendly campground is well maintained and within a short drive or walk to town. Large pull through sites (49) with some full hookups and a dump station. Picnic table at each site. GOOD FREE WIFI. Clean bathrooms and showers with privacy. Lots of flowers planted around the office and a big collection of wooden silhouette cutouts. Wide open and grassy with a low fence around, but small trees are being cultivated. Nice little gift shop. Small pond for fishing. No catch and release. $6 for each fish caught. Honored our Passport America discount. We would stay here again. We camped at Conestoga Campground / Smith River Valley in a Motorhome.

Stayed here four nights to attend the Red Ants Pants Music Festival!! Nice campground, close to town (within walking distance), quiet and clean. For the festival it was also a bus stop for transportation to and from the ranch area where it was held. Wifi was good, also cell phone (Verizon) reception. Nice places for walking dogs along outer perimeter or even all the way out along the road. Would stay here again. Overflow sites available with water & electric only, also dry sites. There is also a nice tent camping area in the middle with convenient shower, bathrooms, laundry close by. We camped at Conestoga Campground / Smith River Valley in a Travel Trailer.

Thanks for staying with us. For the Red Ants Pants music festival you do need to make reservations a year in advance, but the rest of the year you can come anytime.

Conestoga offers a quiet get-away for those who don't need a lot of amenities. Great boathouse and laundry, limited wifi, all pull through sites. Sites are close but campground never got more than half full in the week we were there. The adjacent city offers food and services needed. Day trips to Great Falls and Yellowstone do-able. We camped at Conestoga Campground / Smith River Valley in a Motorhome.

Clean and quiet campground with friendly staff. Not a lot to do in the area but this was a 2-day stopover for us between Yellowstone and Glacier so we weren't looking for a lot to do. Level site and plenty of room for the toad. Good laundry facilities and a cute town with about anything you want or need. Butcher shop in the grocery story at the east end of town has awesome meats! Wi-fi service through Verizon was very good. Ice cream social on Wednesdays and Saturdays around 7:00 run by the owner...great place to get ideas of what's in the area and where you might like to go. Only negatives are there aren't enough trees, no fire rings, and there wasn't a great place for dogs to run/exercise. Staff there was "dog friendly" enough and there was plenty of room to walk with your dog outside the campground. We camped at Conestoga Campground / Smith River Valley in a Motorhome.

9-hole golf course very near the campground on the main road into town (Hwy 12). Good shape and reasonable price. Owner/Pro was very nice and helpful.

This park is also part of the PA system. Large pull through sites (tent sites on the grass); FHU with good electric and good quality water. Wifi, no cable, got enough antenna stations though. No pool, small rec center (ice cream social Wed & Sat); playground for the kids and a very small dog park. (There is a field down a gravel road to let your dogs loose.) Nice small town for walking. Horses all over; deer wandering through the city streets. We camped at Conestoga Campground / Smith River Valley in a Travel Trailer.

2 Bassett Brewery in town and a few small restaurants. There is a motel offering public bathing in the sulphur spring.

We drove to Helena one day and took a tour on the Gates of the Mountains, which I would recommend.

This is a very quiet campground with easy access interior roads and level sites. The staff could not have been nicer and accommodating to us. We stopped over after closing hours for some ice cream treats ($.75) and the campground host saw us and came over and opened the office to serve us. The sites were open, with grass lawns between each. We camped at Conestoga Campground / Smith River Valley in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

There are not many facilities in White Sulfur Springs. There are two very small grocery stores that offer the basics.

Ask about the Castle Town, a deserted town, and the Charles M Bair Museum and home. Both are fun to visit. Castle Town is reached via a gravel road that we took in a Ford Focus. Due to road conditions, we were ready to turn around when we found it. About 5 miles past the "No Trespassing" sign.

This park was a welcomed surprise at the end of a long day of traveling. Quiet campground was well maintained and within a short drive to town. No ice, but gas stations in town have it. Laundry had four washers and dryers. They could use a few more when the park is crowded. Friendly staff. Large pull through lots with some full hookups and a dump station. Picnic tables at each site. GOOD WIFI that is free. Clean bathrooms. Book exchange and free use of DVD's for 24 hrs. Rec room with large tables to play cards, work on puzzles, etc. Good water pressure. Small pond for fishing. $6 for each fish caught. No catch and release. Nice playground for children. I would stay here again. Town is close by. Good barber, but hairstylist stays booked up. Restaurants are on the pricey side. Grocery store in town is reasonably priced. There is a reservoir not too far away with rainbow trout.

This is an exceptional RV park and campground for the money. Though the camping spots are a tad close, the price is very reasonable, Internet is quite strong, and the park is very clean. Staff is very friendly, too. I would recommend this park to anyone. Of course, because of its value, it is also quite possibly full. Do not expect to just show up in the summer and have a spot. Be sure to call ahead.

Anyone driving between Yellowstone National Park and Glacier National Park on Highway 89 should consider spending one night in White Sulphur Springs. And if you have a RV this is the place to do it. We camped at Conestoga Campground / Smith River Valley in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Women should check out Red Ants Pants. Great local craft brewery in town, too. Best breakfast in at the Branding Iron Cafe. They also serve an exceptional lunch and dinner, too. If in town during the summer on a Wednesday be sure to visit the Hutterite's farmer market in the Spa parking lot. Get the zucchini bread. The Castle Museum in town is neat, as is the Bair Ranch Museum in nearby Martinsdale.

Super friendly staff. Very clean restrooms and a well-maintained facility. Pretty RV park with great views of Castle Mountain and the Belt Mountains. Restrooms and showers are spacious, hot, and pristine. Park is carefully kept up outside. The staff and owners here are wonderful people who go out of their way to provide activities and help. The town is small, but within easy striking distance (and beautiful drive) of Helena, Great Falls, and Bozeman.

We came to White Sulphur Springs over the 4th of July and the town puts on a great show for the holiday with fireworks, runs/races, a parade, and ranch rodeo. Worth stopping by if for nothing else than to get a Montana small-town feel. We camped at Conestoga Campground / Smith River Valley in a Travel Trailer.

Very nice people as all previous reviews remarked about. We visited the geothermal hot springs pool at the motel, worth the money: $7.00 for the soak time. This RV park is old but very clean and cute. We would return. See previous reviews for more information. We camped at Conestoga Campground / Smith River Valley in a Fifth Wheel.

A little oasis. We stayed overnight in this park on our way to Glacier NP. It was much nicer than expected, a little oasis after a mountainous drive. It is very clean and well maintained. Sites were plenty large, good satellite reception. The views are spectacular and allowed a gorgeous sunset view right through our front window. The campground hosts were extremely friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Conestoga Campground / Smith River Valley in a Motorhome.

This is a pretty neat place - wasn't expecting something this nice in such a remote location. Few blocks west of the main route through town, so it is quiet. Verizon services worked excellent. White crushed rock for drive and sites - but it is well maintained so I am good with that. Hosts are superb. Ice cream social in the evening. I am impressed with this place and would seek it out again if in the area. We camped at Conestoga Campground / Smith River Valley in a Motorhome.

If ever in this area again, we would definitely stay here. Not just because there isn't much else to choose from, but because it has the nicest/friendliest owners and people working for them, a very clean little park, with the best wi-fi we've encountered in a long time. This park sells memberships to Coast to Coast & RPI, so that was one of the reasons for our stay here, and we took advantage of the special rate for 2 nights to hear about these memberships and I can say that there was no pressure to buy, just gave us a lot of info to think about and if interested, they were there to take care of it for us. Nice little MT made gift shop in the office as well. Sites were average in size I'd say. Trees are small so not a lot of shade but for a few nights it was fine. We will definitely be back to this park when in MT again. We camped at Conestoga Campground / Smith River Valley in a Motorhome.
