GPS Coordinates: 18.76469 N, 99.22194 W. The owners of this campground were perfect hosts: They turned what could have been a totally miserable experience into something wonderful. Because of heavy, unseasonable rains, we got stuck in the mud trying to back into our space. The owner was kind and let us park in the middle of his road and use a nearby faucet and outlet. We also had a great Wi-Fi connection in that location. He then repaired the road problem by buying a load of gravel, so we were able to get out. When he found out that we wanted to use his park as a base for exploring Mexico City, he contacted a guide who was already taking some other guests. The seven of us were able to share the cost of hiring the guide and renting his van. We also had a really fun bonfire. The campground was very homey with beautiful landscaping. The kids loved the garden maze and playground. It was a little cold to swim, but the pool was beautiful and very clean. The owners sold beer and basic groceries. On the down side, the bathhouses could use a little paint and some repairs. The road into the park was also extremely bumpy and narrow with a tight turn into the gate (locked when we got here). But once you were through the gate, the place was delightful. The owner speaks excellent English, and he and his wife were both friendly and hospitable. By the way, the owner mentioned that he had trouble grounding his wiring properly. Although we didn’t have problems with the electricity, you might want to be careful with your electronics. We camped at El Paraiso Trailer Park in a Travel Trailer.
