Very nice park. The only issue we had was how to check in for our space. It's confusing for a newcomer. Fortunately we stopped at the office/cafe/lodge to ask & discovered that is where you check in for the campground. We stayed in the Red Cloud campground with full hookups. Our space was spacious & level. If you don't want full hookups the Soldiers Creek campground had a lot more mature trees for shade. We enjoyed the museum & looking at the fort buildings. We would stay here again. We camped at Fort Robinson State Park in a Motorhome.

There was so much history to see in Fort Robinson. The park as a whole was really pretty, although our site was a little...it could use some work. I don't necessarily blame the camp ground, but it was very awkward. The ant hills made the ground very uneven, which was hard to walk on, and our fire ring was behind our camper, which was very inconvenient. It felt as if we would be using our neighbor's fire ring if we were to use it. I give the park a very good rating because of all the attractions and the hospitality. We camped at Fort Robinson State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

The Trailside Museum is very neat, the free rodeo on Thursday nights is a lot of fun. The sites on the park are pretty interesting, and the ability to go for some scenic drives is really nice.

Very nice park as stated by other reviews. Update on vehicle fees - $6 daily for Nebraskans $8 daily out of state. That is per vehicle so for a camper and toad - $16 per day for those visiting from out of state. Yearly pass for 2017 (out of state visitors) is $45 camper plus $22.50 toad =$67.50 good at all state parks. They do not pro rate, 2018 pass out next January. No discounts for military or seniors. I would stay here again just feel they shouldn't gouge so much on vehicle fees. We camped at Fort Robinson State Park in a Motorhome.

. Fort Robinson State Park is WONDERFUL! With DW's patient guidance, I managed to back our 32' Class C with attached 22' car-hauler trailer into our assigned slot. What an absolutely beautiful campground. Our site was level, and spacious. If we had some leeway in our schedule, we would have stayed another day or two to tour the original and recreated buildings from Fort Richardson. We camped at Fort Robinson State Park in a Motorhome.

Loved this park. I took away a star only because it had a crowded feeling when it was full on the long weekend. And the washroom/shower building is quite a hike. We stayed with full hookups in Red Cloud Campground. Soldier Creek has electric hookups, but there is a water fill and dump station on the way in. Lots to do. Wagon rides, trail rides, jeep rides, museums, history, small evening rodeo, live theatre until Aug 15. Great biking (just watch out for tire "stickers" in late August.) We stayed on the roads after having to fix our tires. Park is very well kept. I couldn't help but feel so relaxed after a couple days. We extended by 2 days and still hated to leave. Lots of day trips from this area, too...Toadstool Park, Hudson-Meng Bison Kill site, Fur Trade Museum, Agate Fossil Beds Monument.... We camped at Fort Robinson State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

There are two separate campgrounds. Both are fairly shaded. Water pressure is good. There is no WIFI signal at the campgrounds, but I got a strong signal on my Verizon phone and hot spot device. Full hookups are available, but the demand is high on the weekends during the summer. The park has a policy of not accepting reservations in advance for half of their full hookup spots. However, they will allow you to call the day you are going to arrive and make a reservation, so if you can't get a reservation in advance, get on the phone at 8:00 am of the day you are going to arrive and get a reservation. I called on Thursday morning and got a reservation for five days and stayed through the weekend when there were no reservations available for the weekend. Go figure! We camped at Fort Robinson State Park in a Travel Trailer.

First trip to Fort Rob and it was well worth it. Plenty to see and do including horseback riding, hiking, biking, fishing, and kayaking. Fort has planned activities and a playhouse. A lot of history at the fort. Staff very courteous and friendly. Camp site was superb, some shade and widely spaced. Would stay again. We camped at Fort Robinson State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Great campground with lots to do in the Fort Robinson area. Don't miss the theater. Camped during the 4th of July; this campground is so well laid out and spacious that it did not seem crowded at all. Camped in Soldier Creek CG with electric only. What a jewel of a campground. We were in a big rig full hookup site. No trees. The other area Soldier creek is heavy treed. So much to do, including a great Post Play House with live musical performance. Restaurant has a great breakfast and the haywagon/steak dinner was great. Friends took the horse back riding and carriage rides, again a bargain. Crawford is not a historical cowboy town, so just bypass, nothing there. Free rodeo at the fort on Thursday nights..We had a wonderful time and highly recommend. The grounds are pristine and extremely well maintained and all the staff are very nice. We camped at Fort Robinson State Park in a Motorhome.

Fort Robinson campground is a very good campground in NE Nebraska that caters to many different types of campers (full hook-up, electric only, tent camping, horse camping). The old cavalry post facilities provide both historic and numerous other activities (in the summer) for both young and old. Additional fee for state park entrance. We camped in an electrical site with a TT. We camped at Fort Robinson State Park in a Travel Trailer.

This is a wonderful state park. We liked it so much we extended our stay. Many historic buildings to tour and a natural history museum. Sites were generous; one campground has full hookups. Staff was friendly. Saw bison, prong horns and deer. Great place for hiking and trial riding. Lots of activities in the summer but we enjoyed the quiet in the fall. We would stay here again. We camped at Fort Robinson State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Rate is actually $31 because they attach a daily access fee of $5 for each day you elect to stay. Red Cloud full hook-up power for the first two night spiked to 138 volts several times each night and my EMS disconnected us each time, until voltage returned to a normal range. The CG is clean and okay, nearest restroom and/or showers about 1/4 mile away in another section. Red Cloud is the only section with full hook-ups. Parking an RV at the park office to check in is a little dicey, on the street, not a parking lot. The Fort is historic and well maintained with wagon rides, plays and shows at Post Theatre, horse back rides and lots or room to walk, or ride bicycles. Knowing what to expect in Red Cloud we likely would return. We camped at Fort Robinson State Park in a Fifth Wheel.
