Really enjoyed the view at this campground. Back in sites opposite of river. Sites long enough for truck and fifth wheel and wide enough for space between neighbors. Sites back up to forested hill below highway so road noise at minimum. We had one issue with neighboring camper which host addressed promptly. We camped at Nebraska Tailwaters COE in a Fifth Wheel.

Sites a little closer than we would like. Most COE parks have wide, spacious sites.... not so here. We camped at Nebraska Tailwaters COE in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

This immaculate park offers quiet sites overlooking the river, and ours was wonderfully shaded by large trees. The park and sites are paved and reasonably level, and the back-in sites are plenty spacious for big rigs with tows. Electrical hookup was convenient. There was no water or sewer, but a clean and convenient dump station is located just outside the park. The bathrooms were modern, clean, spacious and convenient. At such a low price this is one of the best values we've encountered. We camped at Nebraska Tailwaters COE in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Clean, well-kept campground along the Missouri River. Asphalt roads. Sites are wide with asphalt pads, green grass, picnic table, and 30 or 50 amp electric. Not all pads are level front to back. Lewis and Clark Visitors' Center and a golf course are very nearby. A cable fence separates the road from the steep rocky bank and the water below. It's not a good place for kids to scramble on rocks. There is a spot or two for shore fishing on the water's edge. We camped at Nebraska Tailwaters COE in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Nice shady sites, with a great view of the river. Restroom/shower house very clean, they had a fresh pinesol smell to them every time I went into them. Campground hosts and other campers very friendly. New walking/bike trail being constructed from campground to Yankton. Trail was as far as Murdos when we were camping there. Fun trail to bike. Campground was pretty quiet while we were there. Close to Yankton, SD. Doesn't have the "park" look like Cottonwood, but nice campground none the less. We camped at Nebraska Tailwaters COE in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

COE camp, upgraded pads and electric, all site overlook river in Tailwaters below Gaven Dam right off Hwy 52 as you cross dam into NE. They honor Golden Eagle and about half the sites are reservable from Memorial thru Labor Day. Most sites are wooded and look NE. Convenient to Yankton, SD. Beautiful and clean setting below Lewis & Clark Visitor Center. We camped at Nebraska Tailwaters COE in a Travel Trailer.
