Gravel interior roads and sites. Pull throughs long enough could leave tow hooked up. Grass between sites. Grounds were clean, including the small pool. Distance between sites was minimal, with awning to awning. The park was at capacity, with several RVs in the overflow area. Okay for an overnight. Pricey for not being able to sit out and enjoy the outdoors. We camped at Grand Island KOA in a Motorhome.

We stayed here twice on our trip; heading out and heading home as it is very convenient off Interstate 80. The first night we arrived after the office closed, but they had all of the paperwork ready for us at the check-in board. Our site was easy to get into and level. We didn't even bother to unhook our tow vehicle. The second night we arrived during the afternoon and had a someone guide us to our site which was nestled between two trees. It would not work for trailer with slide-outs, but was perfect for us. We would stay here again. We camped at Grand Island KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

Originally reserved for one night, however, we ran into a trailer brake issue coming out of the Dakotas. The manager worked her magic and got us to remain in the original campsite although she had it booked for the following night. The campground had mature shade trees and the nearby I-80 traffic sounds are minimal due to the surrounding cornfields between the campground and I-80. I was escorted to my site immediately after check in then asked if I needed help setting up. The staff from the owner, manager to the workers are very friendly and will accommodate reasonable requests. They offer pizza delivery (made in the campground office) in the evenings. These are very good people. We camped at Grand Island KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

We opted to stay in their choice site # 16. It was excellent. Shady, long and wide. We had a cobblestone patio, a glider-swing, and fire pit and a gas bbq. Also a glass top table and 4 chairs. The laundry is not very big, 4 washers and 4 dryers and the room is a little small and crowded in but it was OK. There is a small store with supplies. The campground is shady with big mature broad-leaf trees. The staff is wonderfully friendly. We camped at Grand Island KOA in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

There are grocery hardware stores within 10 miles of this campground. I don't know about restaurants. It was rainy so we ate in. There are a LOT of flies and tiny bugs at this time of year, so come prepared!

Rate includes 10% KOA discount for a pull-thru, gravel, level, FHU, 50 amp site. The site was quite narrow, but no one was in the adjoining sites. We had good DishTV satellite reception and good Verizon cell and internet reception. The staff was friendly and the pizza was good. The high cost per night is always an issue with KOA campgrounds. We camped at Grand Island KOA in a Motorhome.

We arrived in September, 2017. Office help very polite and helpful. Park had immaculate appearance. The spot we were given was perfectly level and we needed no leveling blocks. Used the laundry and the machines worked like new. We would definitely use this park again, because it is easy to get in and out of, and is advertised as most KOA parks are, with signs on the highway. This is very handy when you are running late or it is dark. We camped at Grand Island KOA in a Motorhome.

Nice KOA. Dump station is in an awkward place, you must go against posted traffic direction. Nice shady sites. Pizza delivered to site, right on time. Delicious. We camped at Grand Island KOA in a Motorhome.

I'm not a big fan of KOA but this park was wonderful. Dirt and gravel pads were level and they had a nice grill in the office where you could buy eats to enjoy with the football game. It was just far enought off the Interstate to be quiet. I will use it again. We camped at Grand Island KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Quite a number of trees on the north part. South part not as many. Staff will work with you if you have a dish. We used their cable excellent. OTA get's all 5 networks. Grounds well kept. Sites kind of close but ok. We have business in Grand Island twice a year. Will definitely stay here again. Stayed two nights. We camped at Grand Island KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Stayed 2 nights in-transit to Wyoming. Easy on-off the Interstate but still very quiet. Had a pull-thru as we didn't want to disconnect tow vehicle. Plenty of room at our site and a nice park to walk around or ride a bike. Hunt Bros Pizza on site - delicious and great value. Highly recommend. Unfortunately Stuhl Museum had closed the Pioneer park section on Labour Day and we were 2 days later. Would stay here again. We camped at Grand Island KOA in a Motorhome.

Big rig friendly with level sites. Easy on/off exit from interstate. Laundry and showers were good. Wifi was excellent even when the campground was full. Dog park was good. Campground was good to ride bicycle. All sites were very narrow and picnic table was beside the neighbors sewer. We camped at Grand Island KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Nice campground if you are staying in a small camper with no slideouts. The sights were so narrow that there was no room to walk between RV's. The tires barely fit on the gravel. There was a picnic table but you wouldn't be able to sit at it without hitting your head on the slides. There would be no place to grill out or sit in a lawn chair. You could hear your next door neighbor flush the toilet. There was nice grass between the sites for your dogs but again watch your head. Other than that there was a pool, basketball hoop, dog park. In our area there was plenty of place to walk your dog other than your sight. Hunts Brothers Pizza everyday of the week. An all you can eat breakfast was available at the "chuckwagon" by the pool on Sat. & Sun. & it looked like they served dinner, too. We probably wouldn't stay here again. We camped at Grand Island KOA in a Motorhome.

We stayed here for one night passing through. This was a very basic park - all dirt, with the sites super close to eachother. Thankfully it wasn't even close to full, because our neighbor's awning would have been touching our slides. The sites were level and long enough that we didn't have to unhitch. There is nothing nearby - it's surrounded by corn fields, which makes for a very quiet stay. The facilities were clean and the pool was a good size and in good shape. Definitely not a destination park but it was comfortable for a night. We camped at Grand Island KOA in a Fifth Wheel.
