Big rig friendly with level sites. Easy on/off exit from interstate. Laundry and showers were good. Wifi was excellent even when the campground was full. Dog park was good. Campground was good to ride bicycle. All sites were very narrow and picnic table was beside the neighbors sewer. We camped at Grand Island KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Stayed 2 nights in-transit to Wyoming. Easy on-off the Interstate but still very quiet. Had a pull-thru as we didn't want to disconnect tow vehicle. Plenty of room at our site and a nice park to walk around or ride a bike. Hunt Bros Pizza on site - delicious and great value. Highly recommend. Unfortunately Stuhl Museum had closed the Pioneer park section on Labour Day and we were 2 days later. Would stay here again. We camped at Grand Island KOA in a Motorhome.

Quite a number of trees on the north part. South part not as many. Staff will work with you if you have a dish. We used their cable excellent. OTA get's all 5 networks. Grounds well kept. Sites kind of close but ok. We have business in Grand Island twice a year. Will definitely stay here again. Stayed two nights. We camped at Grand Island KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice campground if you are staying in a small camper with no slideouts. The sights were so narrow that there was no room to walk between RV's. The tires barely fit on the gravel. There was a picnic table but you wouldn't be able to sit at it without hitting your head on the slides. There would be no place to grill out or sit in a lawn chair. You could hear your next door neighbor flush the toilet. There was nice grass between the sites for your dogs but again watch your head. Other than that there was a pool, basketball hoop, dog park. In our area there was plenty of place to walk your dog other than your sight. Hunts Brothers Pizza everyday of the week. An all you can eat breakfast was available at the "chuckwagon" by the pool on Sat. & Sun. & it looked like they served dinner, too. We probably wouldn't stay here again. We camped at Grand Island KOA in a Motorhome.

We were pleasantly surprised by this park. When we arrived we were met with friendly and accommodating staff and escorted to our space, site #1, end site, with grass and shade tree. We had dinner in the cafe the first night. Great staff and good food. We enjoyed being next to a cornfield with no road noise. Found park relaxing and extended our stay from one to two nights. We camped at Grand Island KOA in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Enjoy the reasonable cooked meals in the cafe. We had spaghetti with meat sauce and salad for 8.50 each. Cafe very clean. It was closed on Thursday and Friday. Sorry we missed the buffet breakfast on the weekends. Great option to unhooking toad to go hunting for dining.

We stayed here for one night passing through. This was a very basic park - all dirt, with the sites super close to eachother. Thankfully it wasn't even close to full, because our neighbor's awning would have been touching our slides. The sites were level and long enough that we didn't have to unhitch. There is nothing nearby - it's surrounded by corn fields, which makes for a very quiet stay. The facilities were clean and the pool was a good size and in good shape. Definitely not a destination park but it was comfortable for a night. We camped at Grand Island KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

First Impression: Road sign states "Pavement ends" then pea gravel into CG. Nice roadside appearance. KOA discount only. Neighbors are close. Safety: no concerns - peaceful. Access: Exit 318 from I-80 then south about 500'. Entrance road is rutted and needs potholes filled. Good CG signage, GPS took us directly in. Office: Nice staff, excellent store with snacks, food items, souvenirs, well-stocked RV equipment items. Hot pizza (quite good) for sale including a breakfast pizza. Wine, cold beer and soft drinks. Facilities: Pool, no spa, no fitness room. Rec room with air hockey and foozball. Large, clean laundry room. Restrooms/showers varnished wood, modern fixtures, clean and attractive, hot, softened water (score "A+"). Propane sales at $3.49/gallon. Big playground. Fenced dog run. Basketball court. Campground: Closed in winter. Not in a flood plain. Roads are dirt/gravel with "be careful" turns. Low tree branches north side (behind office); no overhead obstacles south side. Sites are a bit tight, pull-through. Okay for big rigs. Tent areas, 7 cabins, no yurts. RV sites are dirt/gravel, level in "ok" condition, grass between sites. Utilities at mid-rig with FHU-20/30/50; no meters. Well water with "ok" pressure; good taste. Sewer pipe is unthreaded, 4" above ground level. No patios. Picnic tables. No room for open fires; fire pits in tent areas. South side has good satellite views; north side not-so-much. Free cable TV (36 channels). OTA TV found 9 channels. Free Wi-Fi but I could never get connected. Verizon phone and 4G at 4-bars. No railroad or aircraft but occasional interstate noise. Recycle bins for paper, plastic, aluminum. Bug Report: Small black ants. Runners: CG roads ok for running. Yoga: No place to put mats. Conclusion: If ever in the area again, we'll return - recommended. We camped at Grand Island KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Grand Island is 13 miles northwest. Take NE-2 to US-30 west. City is large with national restaurant chains (Red Lobster, Ruby Tuesday, etc), fast food (DQ, McD's, Arbys, Taco Bell, etc). Ace hardware, Wal-mart (x2) but no fuel, Cenex diesel at $2.529. Autozone, O'Reilly's. VA medical facility. Churches. Banks. Parks & Recreation.

Would be a better place to stay if anyone would deliver to this place. Nice and clean. Not very welcoming. Was reprimanded when we arrived by not filling out a overnight sheet that I could not find. There was NO one there and she was trying to make me park as far as possible to the dog park and the kids playground when I have three small kids and 4 dogs. We had to beg her to park near there. Will not return. Very expensive for whats to offer. Charges for coffee too. We camped at Grand Island KOA in a Motorhome.

2 mi off I-80 NO traffic noise HOORAY . We camp in a Little Rig "Tear Drop" style RV only 15' long w/o toilet or shower ~ plus we like to eat outdoors using the picnic table and set up our dining canopy for sun and weather protection and thus rely on condition of campgrounds facilities and being nearby our site ~ so our critique is focused in that area. 1st impression this is nice - a welcomed site after hours on the road next to cornfield with sites amongst the trees for shade & green grass. But then close up this is a typical KOA with very narrow close together sites packed together like a can of sardines RV park style with gravel pads and roadways. We had a picnic table but strip of grass was very narrow sandwiched between neighbor RV's. There are many cabins for rent and a nice separate grassy area for tenter's; all close to the restroom/showers ~ as were we. So placement of that building was ideally situated. Nice swimming pool area plus overall the grounds are clean and well maintained it shows they care. The building held 6 individual unisex restroom/shower rooms. Down the hall on one side were 3 ea private shower rooms, opposite side were 3 ea private restrooms with a toilet and sink. At one end was an ADA shower/restroom combined. All were modern and clean. Shower rooms had hooks for clothes/towels, wall bench, and rubber floor mat for wet feet. Missing was a shelf for your toiletries stuff. Only NEGATIVE was Lack Of Adequate Ventilation; nonexistent and it got very stuffy in there. Trying to towel off dry was a joke! If you open the door a crack to get air, you're exposed to next person in hallway waiting in line. Restrooms had paper towels so you could clean up your area after and a shelf for toiletries - very thoughtful, but no hooks for towel and clothes. Same ventilation problem. Note: there is a 2nd restroom/shower facility connected to the office We camped at Grand Island KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Surprisingly nice park right off the interstate...well maintained & good sized roads & slots...some shade at the site...spotlessly clean bathrooms...wifi & cable were great despite a nearly full park. The is not a vacation park...though it would be fine with kids for a couple of days when visiting the area... but for interstate travellers...it is a nice oasis...with pizza & wings available for delivery to your site if you get in late or want a snack. We camped at Grand Island KOA in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The Sturh Museum of the Prairie Pioneer is nearby and the best 8 bucks you will spend around here. Museum with artifacts and then outdoor exhibits include Indian Mound dwellings, log cabins, pioneer church, one room schoolhouse, and "railroad town". You need 2-3 hours minimum here. Great for kids to see.

Lovely, treed, very level, and easy to navigate. It was quite homey, despite its size. Great children's play area, pool, and dog walk which made it ideal for families. Also had nice tent areas and cabins. People very friendly and welcoming, including other visitors. Would have stayed here longer if we'd had the time, though for a non-family older couple, it was more expensive than we normally like. We camped at Grand Island KOA in a Motorhome.
